  1. @MS are you using that in the water? Any idea of the amount per sq foot? Is this for weed control or alge control? A quick search was inconclusive.
  2. Thanks, that helps. Our lake does not have an outflow, it is spring fed so I think one treatment per year may do well for us.
  3. Thanks guys, a couple more questions about the dye. We currently have about 20-30' of visibility in our lake, this makes it very easy to find sub buoys, does this become a difficult task after dyeing the lake? One of the great things about our lake is how clean the water it, you feel clean when you get out. Does the Sensient dye change the feel of the water on your skin? Is this dye a once a year treatment or does it generally need to be touched up throughout the year? Thanks again
  4. We are dealing with some weed issues in our lake and we are considering dyeing the lake. Our site is an old quarry, deep and very clear. The water skis fast. I know some people complain about the way dyed water skis. Does anyone have any experience with Sensient dye? The lake person we are working with suggested this is used in many ski lakes with little to no change in the way the lake skis.
  5. My son just turned 10, learned on the Radar TRA 63", great, stable ski, very forgiving and predictable. At the end of last year he was getting into 26.7mph regularly and ran it a few times. I think that ski has a lot to do with his progress. This year he is moving up to a 63.5" Lithium Vapor.
  6. About a week and a half ago our lake was frozen solid and clear, when we were out walking around you could see the sub buoys clear as day. My son thought it would be fun to mark the course with flags so that when we got snow he could "run" the course on snow skis while being towed by a snowmobile. Unfortunately the snow was melting and the lake was a bit slick, but he got his wish...
  7. I will be curious to hear how they get the truck and tractor out.
  8. We just upgraded to a newer boat a few weeks ago and have our 1998 SN up for sale, 2,100 hrs, interior needs skins and the gelcoat is faded. Boat was mechanically well maintained, runs good and has ZBox. Currently listed at $8,900. I have only received a couple inquires and nothing serious. I know this time of year can be slow for selling but I am just trying to get a pulse on the market, am I pricing it reasonably?
  9. What are you guys using for weights to level the boat? We used to use gas cans filled with sand but those slide around. I have seen some really nice bags that must be filled with some type of shot. Any idea where to get these?
  10. Lots of variable here. Does your site freeze during the winter?
  11. @thager I can't find any info on him. The website comes up as a condom club.
  12. I know this has been talked about before but I cannot find the threads. What does it take to upgrade a 196 to ZO? 2006 - is it possible, if so what does it take 2007 - I know it is possible, but is it any different than 2008 and beyond, what is required' Any help appreciated as we are currently in the market. @Jody_Seal ?
  13. anyone else with a 63.5" Vapor please let me know.
  14. As dissapointed as my son was that the Open was canceled this weekend, I think this made up for it. Thanks to Nate for some great coaching.
  15. You can get plastic slat wall. Will handle the moisture well and is infinitely configurable.
  16. Cant help with the map but right now I believe the whole river is closed due to flooding. Take a close look before heading out next weekend.
  17. I would start around 18 to 20 and go up from there
  18. Rope gets caught in the prop, driver figures I have 400hp, it will clear.
  19. Now that I think of it John hit the nail on the head. We were trying 15 due to all the slack. He is double pulling and creating the slack which makes him late, which drives the panic and the cycle repeats. Thanks again guys.
  20. Bruce, He is on a 63" Radar right now. He is very consistent at 15, 17 and 19 ll, 21 is probably run 50-60% of the time. We will go back to ll and give that a try. Thanks
  21. My son is 9 years old and started running the course last year. His PB is 2@23 long line, this year we are moving him to 15 off (Thanks ZBS) and is currently running 17 working on 19. He has developed the habit of breaking forward through the wakes and taken some bad crashes as a result. His pull out to set down is text book, handle to hips but going through the wake he loses it all. Any advise how to coach this? We have tried shoulders back, hips up, arms straight and my wifes suggestion of "dingleberries to the sky", but none seem to be working.
  22. I got to take my first set on my Lithium Senate last night and I can say it is love at first ski. I am a 40 something chubby guy who gets into 22' off @34. I had been on a 16' Lithium Vapor and really liked the ski but Horton's review and talking to some other skiers on them gave me the assurance the performance of the ski would not hold me back. After a few back surgeries I have been a cautious skier, even using a drop ski to save my back. The Senate is so easy to ski and the added width made deep water starts easy enough I didn't have to use a drop ski. I only skied at 32 15' last night but I felt smoother, more stable, nearly as fast and I was less fatigued. I will provide more feedback later, but for those of us that are not short line skiers, I think this is an option worth looking into.
  23. I cannot find the Midwest regional guide online. Does anyone have a link?
