  1. I have both, as well. The Schnitz fin has ALOT more material at the back of the fin, and is designed to be almost flush with the tail of the ski.
  2. My driver (M5 slalom) was good. He also had a positive demeanor, which I appreciated.
  3. The announcing/PA, facilities, proximity to civilization, skiing conditions, and boat driving were all good for me. So it was an overall good experience. Plus I skied 'properly'...had the lead for a good while and got bumped to 6th by the top seed. Fun stuff. Plus, we were graced by the presence of Hortonism. :D :D :D
  4. ahem....so nobody here has skied on a 9970 yet?
  5. @LeonL - be fair now....so is Connelly, and D3 has one or two a year, and likely Radar, HO will be in there too. (who did I leave out?)
  6. @mbabiash - Hmm, interesting
  7. Hey @"76S&S" , typical summer weekend for me is a mix of skiing at LLUSA then cruising Lake Tuscaloosa with the GF. Look for a red/white SN196. What are you driving? Have you been to LLUSA?
  8. Thanks everyone for their input or feedback. I've had alot of cervical issues over the years with two fusions, and now have more than one compromised disc. Luckily and knock on wood, the rest of my spine is totally healthy. I've used clinchers since the 80's and never had an injury related to a non-release incident. The impetus for me posting the poll is that some of my friends have insisted my disc issues are a direct result of using those gloves. They suggest that it is putting undue stress on my neck. I don't necessarily agree. I'm of the mindset that @eleeski stated. Grip is paramount, (and is not one of strengths)...and 38off loads aren't going to be less with normal gloves. And like @Chef23, I was constantly ripping the skin on my palms before.
  9. Late 70s. My next door neighbor had one. Wish I could ride one now for fun.
  10. @Jody_Seal - Ditto that on... "We have stop with the driver witch hunts and start mentoring, educating and including drivers into events. We need more Championship type events and less trials type tournaments."
  11. @AdamCord or @adamhcaldwell What's the difference between the the c65-specific CG, and the 'universal' or 'goode' fin? Thickness, hole pattern?
  12. yes, if I work out of my slump and start skiing right!
  13. Feddie going OBrien. That would be epic.
  14. Thanks @adamhcaldwell . I shoulda included you in that question.
  15. @AdamCord - what's your thoughts on running the CG without a wing?
  16. @BraceMaker - Regarding the molded footbed question, yes. I've been mulling over an attempt to create one. What seems to help me is a bump or ledge that my toes can fit over and gain traction. With my favorite or 'best' plates, the fit and position of the toe strap allowed some of my toes to go past the edge of the plate and that ledge helped hold my foot secure. (I use safety grip tape on my plates)
  17. LymanLand USA Set record for most tournament 39's ran in one day...38
  18. Inguinal Hernia surgery is recommended for me. I'm debating whether to do it so close the spring. Anyone else had it? What was recovery like?
  19. I'd love to join in on that. Mid-March is just too early for me.
