  1. Regardless of the advice good or bad, right or wrong its important that you find a key that works for you. This much is true, if your bombing onto the inside edge out near the buoy line you will never ever find a repeatable way to run short line, and things won't go well if the ski setup is wrong. For me I like to think about getting tall behind the boat, nice and simple.
  2. That looks like fun but now I can't unsee that skiing.
  3. Whats your policy? Who has skied with a driver that wants to be on their phone every time you drop only to look up when its time for the next pass?
  4. The big guy got in touch with me this week pretty stoked to have knocked down -41 for the first time, he's a good guy who has had more than his share of injury problems so its great to see him getting results even if it is in practice. @adamhcaldwell might like to comment on how a 65 inch ski works for a dude that is six eight or so... Awesome stuff Austin!
  5. I just hope the brain damage does not linger.
  6. The idea is on the right track for sure. Recognise that the existing format keeps a lot of people out of the sport, with the guarantee of 4 passes I'm sure some skiers might relax and put up better scores.
  7. All that money and expense at least go with a hull that tracks way better than the rest.
  8. The older you get the less you want to risk possible injury while the person at the wheel is figuring stuff out. Driving is like skiing, some people are simply way better than others and that can be as simple as they actually care about delivering a half decent pull. While we are on the subject how do skiers feel about drivers that go straight to their phone after every pass? Maybe its just me but I hate phones being in boats.
  9. Caldwell can also smoke 41 at 34.
  10. World Squash (men and women) is dominated by Egypt and I can't fix it.
  11. The sport requires expensive stuff and a lake to go with the expensive stuff. Its not getting cheaper and a lot of people hate the tournament format. I don't think you have to look much further than that. And it might take a couple of tries to run your hardest pass but if you can run it then well done your a decent skier, until some tournament skier tells you it does not count. Yeah that kind of attitude gets the skiers turning up on comp day. Not.
  12. Biggest fattest handle money can buy fixed the problem for me. Mine was brutal for at least 2 seasons.
  13. Yeah I don't agree that its a boring conversation but people have to live with their own choices so I'm glad this topic has surfaced here for debate. At the pointy end of most sports competitors are looking for an edge so I think you should be open to testing things, if it works for you then great if not then move on. To me the case for the plants as presented looks solid so going meat free is a bit of a no brainer, so far so good. To each their own and good luck to them, if you ever spot a vegan at a BBQ don't be afraid to approach and say hello, the ones I know don't bite.
  14. Forks over knives is certainly worth warching.
  15. Bacon is a plant right? But seriously I've gone plant to see how things go. Makes a lot of sense to me.
  16. I can see a lot of OTF's - patch or weed, submerged anything, turtle, sandbar, great white, Russian sub... its endless really. Yeah I want one too.
  17. Moving your balls 6 inches in any direction would be more than just a little uncomfortable.
  18. 3000 whisper fins just hit ski it again...
  19. Ask yourself did it grow that way? If not then think about taking a pass.
  20. @aussiemc Yes exactly. @rockdog thats a pretty sweet boat and I'm sure Joel would be happy with it :)
