Bevels are different on the front portion of the ski vs. the back, their theory is that your onside turns you use the rear of the ski more to turn, on your offside one tends to engage the front more hence the variance in bevel design to create a stronger offside. Seen Larkin on it and he looked way better than on the Strada, but how this bevel theory relates to joe skier who is allover a ski on both sides will have to be determined as it filters in to the market, hype and theories is one thing...reality is another

@scotchipman... I think part of what has slowed availability for smaller size that is Whitney has a large foot for a woman..so doesn't need smaller offering. I put my daughter in sz 8 Stradas this year...which were a touch big for her. I got a thicker footbed and puffed up the liners real good in the oven. She is luvin them thus far.

@DanE. I now see what you are referring to. I have no idea how that happened nor do I know how to reverse it. I ski on a Radar, and love the product, so to let all know, that is an unintentional thumbs down. Aging eyes and small screens.

I got to ski 12 passes on the Vapor Lithium today with Rossi, Brooks and Sully. All I can say is "WOW"! I think a lot of people will quickly feel comfortable on this ski. I've been on the old silver Strada since 2010 and when I hopped on the new ski, I felt like it took noticeably less effort to hold good angle through my lean. A bit more crisp on both sides of the course, actually. For me, this ski took zero getting used to. Hang tight there everyone, really good things are coming from behind the wall of water...

No, I put my own setup on the ski (Reflex front/Wiley rear/Sequence plate). The new Vapor boot, which the guys were on last night, doesn't appear to be a major departure from the Strada boot. As far as what level skier I am, I'm nothing great. Working on perfecting my -28 right now, though I only ran 4 last night. I only started skiing the course a couple years ago, so all my progression has been on the Strada thus far. I feel like some significant breakthroughs are on the horizon, mostly due to practice, but like I said, this new ski should inspire confidence in a wide range of riders...which is what they are always going for. I've skied all the versions of the Strada, and this shares a lot of that balance, but adds some teeth.

It turns left, then right...four times (sorry Rob, I couldn't resist the opportunity)

Seriously though, felt very similar, but with more "bite" (in a good way) than the Strada. Once you see the bottom of it, you'll know what I mean. I would call it an evolution from the Strada since part of it still is the Strada running surface (what I recall being told anyway)... And BTW the ski is freakin' GORGEOUS!

Yes, the tip insert is clear on the top and honeycomb on the bottom. Not sure I understand what you mean (@rq0013) by pulling the tip to the center although the flat spot has been shortened a bit along with the step on the rails. To me, the ski feels like it holds angle cross-course a lot better than any Strada I've been on. Not that a Strada is a slouch by any means.
