  1. I run 50 in my 4 range C tires. 35 would not be right unless you have a pretty light boat.
  2. @208maverick so how is the ski? I'm sure it feels different but I always give myself 2 or 3 days before I judge a new ski.
  3. agree on the puck - my friends Response does it on occasion - His puck is at least 10 years old. Send it to them over the winter. PS - i have ver. 9 and ZBox in My 2003 Sunsetter LXI too - it's great!
  4. @208maverick - that Omni wide is wider than my old 69" TX and my 69" Radar Theory - should be the ticket.
  5. are you in the 3rd hole on front and back bindings? my neighbor has the exact same ski and size. His came with rear plate on 2nd hole and he moved it to the 3rd. It took him a few weeks to get used to it - now he loves it.
  6. My Sunsetter had 20 lbs from factory - i put 30 lb struts and it works awesome. Mine were only 17" or I would give the part number.
  7. @UWSkier what RTP did you settle on - thinking of switching to a different RTP
  8. i would think his current ski is just fine - not sure why they are telling you that.
  9. I've skied the hovercraft a few times - just a note that it's not for high speeds. Feels good at like 16-20 mph. Mid 20's and it's too high in the water and unstable. Never skied the big easy but I know that is completely different.
  10. I get up both feet in. I agree with above, you want less throttle - I've over 200 as well and I had a heck of a time on a certain wider ski. I concentrate on just 1 thing... I tilt the ski to the left (like 10:30, I'm left foot forward) that allows me to get my knees closer to my chest. Ask your wife for a 5 second pull out.
  11. i have 9.3 and ZBox in my 2003 Sunsetter LXI - i can't imagine it makes much difference if you have fuel injected or carb for the servo version of perfect pass.
  12. Malibu should re-release the Sunsetter LXI. It would be a hot seller. I'm never giving mine up.
  13. I would agree with @ski6jones My parents both skied LFF. So I do too bc I thought it was normal. Both of my older boys are LFF bc they copied me I suppose. I know it doesn’t matter. Interestingly my youngest is lefty and only one in my whole family. So I’m curious what foot he will use. Gonna teach him this summer.
  14. Right handed and left foot forward too.
  15. i honestly thought the 2011 i skied behind had a lot of power with the 654 prop - if I had it i would probably run the 422 for a bit lower RPM.
  16. What I did on an HO ski. Probably not ideal for a boot.
  17. I think it's personal. I have 13" handles b/c I'm a bigger guy. Don't like curved handles.
  18. Interesting thread. I would say it would be fine to ski behind - probably has more bump at 15 and 22 off vs my earlier LXI. The price does seem off and that interior looks trashed (carpet on sides, etc. Lake test and compression test for sure! I find it odd that the ad has been up so long on TMC at that price.
  19. The universal can go out both sides b/c it has holes on all 4 sides of the end that goes into the clamp and fits a lot of boats. I think they made the b204 later to accommodate wake boats and boats with longer windshields like your Malibu and the Mastercraft 214.
  20. i think you need the b204. I have the 202 on my Sunsetter LXI but it does not fit my friend 05 Response LXI. Maybe your windshield doesn't go back as far as his. Measure from the pylon to the where the window stops if it's more than 8" you need the 204. Oh and I have 1 extension - i feel it is necessary with this hull.
  21. Previous outboard junkie before I got my Malibu. Anyhow it should be a 50 Mph boat when not in tow. The trick is to prop it right for both footing and slalom. You want a prop that will run 5200-5500 wide open. You need to be in the sweet spot on the rpm. Something like a 19 pitch prop and that will get you around 45 mph and allow you to do both. Just my thoughts.
