  1. Lawdy the bad advice given here.... I just can’t.
  2. “It’s a relative of the Blue Mapple T3.”
  3. I’m plant based breakfast and lunch but dinner time I like it to swim, oink, or cluck.
  4. Interesting. How much did it cost? I’d like to have an analysis done on my work truck. That’d be interesting. 340k miles and 6 oil changes. But I’m guessing an oil analysis would require me to change the oil? Meh, that’s a lot of work.
  5. Hmmmm.... 8 additional gauges? I don’t even have 1 gauge. Cluster went out 3 years at 285k miles. But I don’t mind, only done 6 oil changes since I ordered the truck new. Guess I have some issues to come my way, LOL.
  6. @dvskier re jetting is sometimes needed in certain performance scenarios but definitely needed in higher elevations. Even I would go EFI if I were skiing sea level in the morning then the Colorado Rockies at lunch time.
  7. Opener at 28. Run a few 32’s back to back, run 2-35’s, run 5@38, make the next 38, work on a few gates at -39. Two pumps of the throttle for a cold start?? Pfffft, that’s just too much work. And what’s this rebuild carburetor talk? Don’t waste your time. $650 for a new carb and you’re golden for 5+ years. That’s $110 a year. The maintenance kit for a direct injection pcm is what, $600 a year?
  8. Piss on EFI. Go carb. Unless you want endless troubleshooting down the road and terrible customer service along with the harsh pull you get with ZO, opt for the Holley 4160 and PP.
  9. They had one didn’t they? I don’t think there’s really a school or club, just residents only.
  10. You’re gonna need no more than 12” on center joist to keep from warping and twisting composite. 24” and you might as well just fasten with double sided tape to make easier replacement.
  11. How can you tell difference between a 305 and 350 of that era? My buddy’s boat is an 07 with what is badged as 5.0 330hp. I have a feeling it’s all labeled incorrectly and is a 5.7 350 ci 330hp Excalibur. It was probably one of the first SN to leave SECC with ZO installed new.
  12. I say they are bad luck because, well, look at them, they’re fugly. But every Ski Nautique built in latter 97 and all of 98 was Masters Green so somebody must like it.
  13. @Jetsetr not doubting you, but where are you getting a new long block marine GM for $2900? I’ve had a few rebuilds between boats and trucks. Jasper, ATK from Summit, local “high end” rebuild, and on most previous rebuild for my 93 SN I opted to go with an ATK again as I’ve felt they were the best so far.
  14. More buoys? Shit I’d be happy to a get “A” buoy right now. Seriously, I love Camaro products but I’m constantly replacing them. Stokes is my next wetsuit for sure.
  15. Keep in mind whenever you open the Mickey Mouse strainer you should get a new o ring. Now what is this word you speak of, “Winterize”?
  16. As long as you don’t lengthen the overall hose length from hull intake to the RWP you are golden. IMHO, unless you are in a REAL swamp, get rid of the strainer. It has so many flaws and potential causes for high engine temps. Both my boats I eliminated the strainer and never had a problem.
  17. I can destroy my leg just as terribly with my $180? Camaro vs a 4 buckle USCG approved vest vs a $50 vest. Skiing can be a dangerous sport. Then again my grandma broke her hip walking to the kitchen sink.
  18. Can’t stand the optimized rope. Too hard to shorten. Too hard to decipher colors. Seems to thick and heavy, stiff and full of memory. I’m not a Masterline fan anyways but for first time ever I started bringing my own rope (in tow) skiing with the guys.
  19. I’m a solid size 13, 14 in sneakers. When I bought my Reflex R Miami Nautique told me I should bump up a size larger than Reflex chart says I should. Good thing I took MNI’s advice because the size Reflex told me to go with would’ve been tight. I opted for the HO Hardshell and again I think I went one size larger and it fits my long foot well but if my liner shrinks over time the shell might be too wide for me. Either way I LOVE my HO Hardshell and glad I took a pros advice and went with it.
  20. I became a fan of InTow about 3 months ago, prior to the recent tabloids. And given recent tabloid issues I’m certain to ONLY use Brenda from now on. Is it just me or do her ropes seems to not twist up so much? And the knotless Masterline is too hard for me to loosen to cut the rope as the driver. Absolutely swear by MNI gloves! Best gloves ever. I have a few other and newer skis but given I’m not up to par after 8 months off due to wicked leg injury I’m back to skiing my 2014 or 15 Mapple Torque, the black one with blue letters. It’s just a predictable, safe, “carvey” ski that seems to predict my next move vs me predicting it’s move. And still would rather ski behind my old 93 SN with PP but my other ski buds are too good for it.
  21. Valvoline VR1 only for the flat tappet. 10w40 or 20w50.
  22. @kurt That’s An awesome offer but it’s a super short visit (Oct4-6) and I’m not set up to pack my ski. How far are you from downtown?
