  1. @oldjeep yeah I agree but that’s what I gathered from what I read but I’m not in a smart state of mind as I didn’t stay in my usual Holiday Inn Express lastnight. I’d give exhaust manifolds a good pressure test myself since they were already pulled. A crack in right spot could’ve leaked water back in 1 run. What year manifolds did PCM kinda acknowledge a cracking issue? It could legitimately have been no fault or knowledge of seller.
  2. use blue masking tape and write some really intense numbers on it so you look smart. A pro tip I learned from KLP.
  3. @oldjeep when I read it I conclude it’s the original oil. Please use Smaller words for us simpletons.
  4. As a derailed side note, I have a 2007 Silverado with 6.0 gas for work. Original owner. 365,000 miles and I just did it’s 7th oil change. When I get about 20k-30k on this oil change I want to get an oil analysis done and post it here. That boys will be your base line analysis with numbers to avoid, anything less and your good. And yes when I sell the truck I’ll be straight up in the ad and say I used it, did shit maintenance, but here it is still running strong. Price reflect. I bet it’ll be quickest vehicle I’ve ever sold.
  5. Caveat Emptor. It sucks but you bought a used boat from an individual as is, no warranty. I feel your pain, I kinda been there. I do feel like from your statements that there were a lot of rightful mechanical steps a serious potential buyer could’ve done before purchase that were neglected. Whether the seller was deceitful or not, he doesn’t owe you a thing.
  6. When I skied there was 3 of us. Partner 1 owned the waterfront home and housed the boat. By default he essentially was given the boat by partner number 2 because he didn’t live on the water. I was the 3rd wheel. I’m not a good driver but my experience driving has been super minimal. I supplied 80 to 100% of the fuel on days I skied and about half the repair/maintenance items which was minimal, and a couple hundred bucks once or twice a year left in the glove box. I always felt bad that I was the worst driver and by far worst skier Of the 3 and I couldn’t bring the private lake nor the better boat to the plate. Well that relationship eventually fell apart. I own a clean and reliable 93 SN with PP and live 4 doors down from a public ramp. I have two courses on the public lake which gets minimal traffic and a spare new portable in garage but no driver. I’d take a shit driver as long as my boat isn’t wrecked and don’t run me over.
  7. Big Brother placed a micro-chip in it to track you down. @Horton saved you the trouble.
  8. I’ll agree augers aren’t the greatest in muck. Our lake is sand on top but must be muck underneath. I found paralleling two augers perpendicular to main line about 2’ apart, join with chain then used a come-along to pull main line tight, bunch of weight on other end. I usually find a construction site where the plumbers cut the slab for drains. Unlimited supply of ~18”x18”x6” concrete slabs. 4 or so of those anchored together is great.
  9. Wtf? I thought you were being funny. Got a 200 yard for long arms? If so I’m outta here.
  10. Gun Range that serves Corona!?! I sold myself short when I petitioned mine for a club BBQ Smoker. Not surprised about cornhole. Ski community needs improvement.
  11. I’ve skied behind a blow boat with an 0-290. It was really hard. It had plenty of power, we both started on the hill. I hit the water about 28 mph but I was able to pull the boat flat sideways with little effort to the point the ski was about off plane. A flat bottom boat with Frogspit is not made to ski. Later that night we sunk the boat and pulled it to nearest “shore” then got shot at for suspected cattle rustling. Good times. Glad I did stupid stuff then otherwise I’d have nothing to laugh at now.

    Re-power

@UWSkier up to 1988 all Correct Craft with exception to the Skylark turned right. Right handers started drying up so CC swapped over to lefty’s most 1989+ With introduction of the 1.23 and the now leveled engine. The “1.23” which isn’t really 1.23, swapped the direction so props could still turn opposite of competition. There was a super small handful of 93&94 SN, “The Scrappy’s”, came with right hand and the 1:1 transmission but they’re super rare and pretty distinct.
  13. Lung problems is only half of the battle with Cystic Fibrosis. The digestive issues are unbearable. Pancreatic Deficiency causes Diabetes in the teenage years and the inability to absorb nutrients for proper weight gain throughout life. Digestive blockages are too common, resulting in periods of vomiting and intestinal surgeries along with gastric feeding tubes. The toll on families due to hospitalizations and the financial burden is immense. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the highest ranked and most respectable charities out there. Their role in fighting CF was apparent with the October 22, 2019 FDA approval of a break-through drug fighting this disease. The goals haven’t been reached yet, the treatment isn’t available to all yet and there is still no cure. Help support turning CF into Cure Found.

Any ZO motor I’m aware of will spin correct for a 1990+ Nautique.
  15. @Jetsetr but you have to pump the throttle twice before a cold crank. Too difficult.

@Steven_G problem is I think it’s more like $14.5 today.
  17. Need more events like this, especially in Florida.
  18. Frankly not quite what I thought by best bottom advertising.
  19. And the ignition and TBI(94-95 or 96) mentioned above is nothing to shy away from. If you’re capable to read a cereal box and turn a screwdriver without stabbing yourself in a lung, it’s an easy fun afternoon project to convert and make it bullet proof.
  20. The NWZ is a really good boat. I prefer the NWZ over the bubble butt, but the tsc2+ being quite better. The 90-93 NWZ has to be the sexiest boat ever built. The 80’s era 2001 would be a smaller boat and frankly isn’t what you want for slalom. NWZ started in 1990-1996. 1990-1992 being wood stringers BUT Correct Craft had their fiberglass and resin technology figured really well by then, miles above the competition. Fun fact, in 1992 the wood stringers were warranted for life to the original owner, that’s confidence in your product. I have a perfect 93 I’m selling.
  21. Bump..., But out of all the manufacturers I’ve dealt with, whether an honest inquiry, demo or an actual purchase, Radar’s service and responsiveness has always been exceptional and miles above and beyond the other manufacturers. Brooks and Matt have always been an asset to Radar and waterskiing in general.
  22. I’m curious as to what their reinforcement is for the pylon. If you hear anything back. The boat restoration-nut side of me is curious as to what their approach is/was.
  23. @ALPJr I might be wrong but it looks like 67’s we’re produced and 66’s are getting ready. 68’s still to come or so I’m pretty certain that’s the order.
  24. @savaiusini I’m sure there had to be a mishaps. Usually goes that way. Luckily HO is teamed up with Performance Ski and Bill assured me he’d make me happy and sold me on it. Team Performance always pulls through.
  25. Yes it says you can demo the HO hardshell. I’m still waiting on a reply to my multiple inquiries from a year ago.
