Bear in mind that Utah also has a very active snow ski/board season that takes place between November-April (and beyond for Snowbird). I would suspect that there are drivers available who may also be ski instructors or Ski Patrol who would be delighted to have a job like this. Perhaps a retired guy.
@oldjeep Correct, my autocorrect must have sprung into action. Thanks for letting me know about warehouse.com a few years ago. So far I’ve saved a couple hundred bucks by using them. I might add that I’ve gotten free shipping and they’ve sent the gear out the same day it was ordered.
I e got a couple of years on you and life is too short to miss any skiing as a result of equipment failure. I have a 2004 SN that does well for me although the Carbon Pro is tempting! I also snow ski 100+ days per year. Age is just a number. New Masterline rope and handle for me every year. Drop in the bucket compared to the fun I get out of it.
I ski with a guy who wears a wakeboard style helmet for slalom. He had a nasty cut on top of his head a few years ago and feels like he doesn’t want to risk any more head trauma.
@Bill22 I would say a lazy seller. Too lazy to walk down to the dock and take detailed pictures. Highly unlikely he even gets $8k for that boat. That year range is well know for water intrusion affecting the wooden stringers. Why take a chance when you get get a very nice 97 or newer SN with no wood to worry about (CC started using all composite construction in 1993).
You’re also skiing at a very high level in a most difficult and unforgiving sport. You really have no reason to beat yourself up. Carry on and continue to ski well.
