  1. Nice looking boat, I had a 97. Great wakes and it will handle the chop quite well. As for the trailer you could always take it to a paint shop to have it sandblasted and repainted. Not necessary but would save you money in the long run.
  2. @escmanaze How about Ski Ray, Moomba Boomerang, MB, and many others. Like it or not the “big 3” manufacturers run the direct drive market.
  3. Although I did not know Eddie it seems like his customer service ethics still rule at Radar. I’ve always been taken care of by the crew at Radar, I’m a customer for life.
  4. I’ve stayed at the Microtel in Jasper, very clean and 10 minutes from the site. Would definitely stay there again.
  5. A 1997 or newer Ski Nautique. The 196 didn’t come out until 2002.
  6. @lpskier A free heeled! Rare these days, I’ve seen some terrific tele skiers at Alta.
  7. You also have to factor in battery replacement (likely after warranty period). To me this is a huge concern. Very expensive and the raw materials are not in the USA from my understanding.
  8. @slow I think it’s targeted for 15 off guys like me.
  9. 1+ on Everstart (WalMart) brand batteries. The one in my Nautique is 7 years old. No problems, ever! Less than $100. I really don’t see why so many folks throw money away on Optima batteries?
  10. Hey I’m an old guy too, 74. I never skied competitively until a few years ago. At my level Star Gazer treats me right, no problem other than my ability level and I don’t fault Zero Off at all. Best of luck to you in your quest to reclaim your spot at the top of the leaderboard at Nationals.
  11. @swbca I guess you’ll be buying a new Zero Off boat then. You only live once! I say go for it!
  12. That engine would likely sink a Flightcraft.
  13. Likely a coyote that wandered in from Mississippi!
  14. I have a 2004 196 w/330hp Excalibur that will rip your arms off Running an Acme 422.
  15. I’d say investing that much money without having necessary permits could be a costly decision. It’s hard to believe Chet would overlook this critical point.
  16. @RAWSki Is that one for Whitestone?
  17. Regina is an unparalleled representative for our sport. She is always ready to speak with anyone at tournaments.
  18. I switched maybe 20 years ago. Awkward at first but just stay with it. Shouldn’t take more than 3 sets to get the right muscle memory programmed. The difference is incredible, you’ll feel much stronger on your off side.
  19. @dbutcher I believe that you would get a score of the completed pass, 15 off in that case.
