  1. The Rico curse lives on @Horton.
  2. @ScarletArrow They do. We had a tuber being pulled by a Sea Doo that slammed into an aluminum dock at a very high rate I’d speed, alcohol was involved. Dead on impact, he was the adult son in law of the Sea Doo operator. Lake house went on the market that week. Not sure if his daughter ever forgave him. Many years ago a football player at the University of Alabama was paralyzed in a tubing incident. It’s a shame that people are injured but when you throw caution to the wind and add alcohol serious injuries occur.
  3. @Horton Does Rico have a tower?
  4. I completed my training today, not a great time investment. It was painless.
  5. @Horton What a memorable father-daughter bonding experience, you’ll cherish this trip forever. Good luck to Reagan.
  6. @tjs1295 Probably has more to do with loan to value ratio than anything else. Banks don’t understand Covid boat pricing.
  7. Very inspirational. Keep at it.
  8. Pretty sure that Tige offered a lifetime warranty on their stringers at some point to combat the “wood stringers are bad” hype. Not sure exactly when that happened but I’ve never heard of a Tige boat having stringer issues. The slalom wake is superb and you won’t be disappointed but they are a rough rider in open water on a big lake. Also very low freeboard, you have to keep the nose up in open water or the crew will be soaked.
  9. @lpskier I knew that lake 3 existed but I’ve never seen anyone use it. Thanks for the info, I’ll keep that in mind.
  10. The Boarding School east of Orlando can let you ski lake 1 and then lake 2 in one shot. Then drop and come back. Great folks there. Freddie Winter will be your coach then.
  11. I’ve owned a 2004 SN since new. The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago, it was the thermostat. Easy fix, 330hp PCM Excalibur engine.
  12. Glad you guys get some warmer water then. We’re almost in July.
  13. @RichardDoane Thats some cold water. Do you guys ever ditch the rubber?
  14. @AdamCord From what I have read in Car and Driver Porsche has mastered the consistent 0-60 and 1/4 mile times whereas the Tesla has very good times but after a few runs the Porsche continues to delver exceptional results. The Tesla needs a recharge to continue. I believe that a supercharger would be necessary to run a Pro tournament. Evan a 480 volt charger at the site wouldn’t be enough. We’ll definitely see e boats in the future. I predict it’s 5 years out for the early adopters.
  15. @LLLCCC The inventor spent thousands of hours designing this device and went through many iterations to get it on the market. I would say that it shouldn’t be modified at the risk of voiding the warranty. From my understanding the consumables are very cheap.
  16. @aupatking Have you tried using pure-gas.org to locate non ethanol fuel? It’s usually up to date.
  17. Congratulations @Horton . Is this the first time you’ve made level 9?
  18. I use 90 octane ethanol free gas in my 2004 SN 196. Run a can of Sea Foam through it annually. No problems ever. We get big time heat and humidity swings and I’m convinced the ethanol free fuel is the key to proper performance. It’s $0.50/gallon more but worth the expense to me.
  19. @Horton I really appreciate the opportunity to meet you and have a discussion. James Bryan is a terrific skier who?
  20. I would say that at 250 lbs you should be on a 71. It helps when learning to run the course to learn at slower speeds, I learned al few years ago at 26, then 28 and finishing at 30 mph. Have done 32 as well. Time in the course is critical to improve as the process simply takes concentration and experience. I’d choose the HO Triumph over the free ride but either will work for you.
