  1. This thread reminds me of the thread @Rednucleus had about his clock spelling out BOS. Maybe we all think to much about skiing????? “not”
  2. @skialex i’ve really enjoyed your “summer time pics” this past few months and must admit i’m jealous of the nice weather you have been enjoying. Wish we could get some of that up here in the PNW! Really tired of the wind, rain and cold! Spring can’t come soon enough. Best of luck concerning your health issue! Post more pics when you return to skiing. Just for you here is your third lake Curlew panda courtesy of the Wednesday night crew enjoy!
  3. @The_MS sadly most everyone was drinking Scotch or wine☹️ But Doug did have a gluten free IPA because of his Celiac disease. Didn’t think it was picture worthy but just for you here is a shot of the bottle. I promise next year we will do better and have a fine assortment of IPAs in your honor??
  4. @skialex be careful what you wish for ? all your posts about your beautiful weather over there while we suffer with our cold, rainy, windy PNW winter are starting to wear on me ???? hopefully things will get better so we can get back our skiing anyway here is your lake Curlew panda from the Wednesday night crew ? bu the way you are the first baller to receive 2 lake Curlew pandas enjoy!
  5. @dvskier that is our hope? just waiting for a sponsor to step up?
  6. My wife and I hosted the Wednesday night crew and our wives for our annual “End of the year / start of the year party” last night. In attendance were @Rednucleus and his wife Loni, Doug and his wife Eileen and Ken. We started things off with coconut shrimp, regular shrimp, a meat and cheese tray, a veggie tray and bbq pork for appetizers Main course was stuffed pork loin chops, spaghetti squash, stuffing and gravy, collard greens salad, regular salad and rice with golden raisins and pine nuts Finished things off with black bottom cake, red velvet cake, banana bars, homemade ice cream and purple rice with coconut milk And yes we had a nice assortment of wine and Scotches too A great night spent with great friends! Here’s to the end of 2020 and the start of 2021 The Wednesday night crew has some big plans for the new year stay tuned for further details of our adventures ?
  7. @Jody_Seal sage advise from a wise old man???
  8. Ok @skialex that does it. You have just earned a lake Curlew panda from the Wednesday night crew ?
  9. @Jody_Seal @MISkier is right take off those Chevrolet rally wheels and put on some Pontiac rally wheels they will make that car look awesome!
  10. @swc5150 who’s the guitar player you or the cat? ? I bet that cat can really shred ??
  11. @OTF from the looks of things you and @Rednucleus should get along great! Your collection of Jim Beam would make him feel right at home?
  12. @skialex ok here is the thread starter post away! The Wednesday night crew is waiting for the weather to cooperate so we can get our first ski of the new year in. This past week the weather in the PNW has been awful☹️ Super windy, rainy and cold. We can deal with the cold not so much the wind and rain. Hopefully we will get a break soon and can get some skiing in. Maybe even get @Rednucleus out for his first post hernia surgery ski? the Wednesday night crew has our “end of the year party” scheduled for next Saturday so maybe we will be able to ski before we eat and drink our evening away??? Will post an account of our day/night next week
  13. @DavidN it just isn’t right that a parent should have to bury their child☹️ So sorry for your loss. He sounds like he was a super kid! Happy though that U have so many great memories of him. Not to get too religious here but here is one of my favorite verses from the Bible for this occasion “May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” St. Paul
  14. @dbski what is your hot rod? Need pics! Just about to send my 1948 Chevy pickup project off for paint. Then final assembly, Interior and exhaust and it will be my time for some burn outs! And by the way super nice lamp and table looks like u do very quality work?
  15. 3/4 of the Wednesday night crew skied Big lake this Christmas Eve afternoon minus @Rednucleus who is recovering from hernia surgery. Air 38 water 42 perfect skiing conditions with the sun out. Probably the last ski of the year as the weather is turning to rain for the next week☹️. Hope to start the New Year our right with a ski on New Year’s Day Merry Christmas to all
  16. @DavidN I wish heater tops were all we would need! It’s been drysuit weather for the last 2 months up in the PNW. Colder weather moving in and the first snowfall of the year last night. Going to try to ski tomorrow after work if things work out
  17. @skialex keep rubbing it in! You are getting dangerously close to receiving a lake Curlew Panda from the Wednesday night crew ??
  18. @skialex looks like u are the Grim Reaper with that getup ?everything ok over there?
  19. @Pullhard this is the soap that I use on my wetsuits. Got it from @Rednucleus wife. Works great. If u send him a nice bottle of Scotch he will probably send u a bottle of the soap?? oops forgot the pic check the next post?
  20. @MitchellM love the ear to ear grin on your daughter’s face! That’s what it’s all about. Looks like she is having so much fun skiing
  21. @Horton first off great job on the site! I blame @Rednucleus for introducing me to BOS. Before i knew anything about it my life was so empty and I had more free time on my hands?? now I check it regularly and keep the ballers informed of the adventures of the Wednesday night crew (Doug, Ken, @Rednucleus and myself) thanks for a fun and useful site. Here is wishing BOS a Happy Birthday and many more to come!
  22. @mmadore21 both my knees were wore out from old injuries. Had surgery on each one back in high school way before arthroscopic surgery. Rehab was hard and long back in those days (late 70’s). Also played baseball from age 9 to 20 as a catcher can’t imagine how many squats I did over that time. In 2014 I had my right knee replaced and in 2016 had my left one replaced. Even though I was only 55 at the time and most people think that is too young to have them replaced. My Dr advised to go ahead with the procedure as the technology and parts used for the replacements had advanced a lot over the old materials. I discussed with my Dr that I was a skier and wanted to continue skiing after surgery. He was 100% on board with my skiing afterward. The rehab is tough but so worth it in the end! Both surgeries were done in December and I was back skiing in March. My advise is to find the best surgeon you can check to make sure they know that you are a skier and plan on skiing afterward and go at your rehab full bore. I went to pt twice a week and worked out at home 7 days a week from the time of the surgery til the time I started skiing again. I have zero regrets about having both knees replaced. I have no pain in either of them and they don’t affect my skiing negatively in the least. Walking downhill used to be unbearable now i don’t think twice about it. If you decide to go this route GOOD LUCK and keep us posted on your progress
  23. @Rednucleus couldn’t agree more with you on the cold toes and feet issue. Better to ski in a cold climate and climb back into the boat with all your fingers and toes still connected than to ski in the warm alligator infested waters of Florida and wonder if you will be able to grip the handle the next time you ski? you can always warm your fingers and toes up with a hot water shower? Skiing in Florida it would be questionable if you would have all of them at the end of your set?
  24. @Gloersen I will see your panda and raise you a lake Curlew panda? as long as we have our drysuits a boat with a heater and hot water shower the Wednesday night crew will keep on skiing! Winter skiing on a cold but sunny day with the water like glass is one of our favorite times to ski
