  1. @OldGuysRule sad news for sure! The Seattle boat show is a virtual one this year. The Wednesday night crew looks forward to our annual trip down to the big city to look things over, catch up with old friends and go to the Pyramid ale house for beers and lunch. They have closed their doors for good due the covid-19 pandemic ☹️ I guess we will have to meet at one of our houses, watch the show on the laptop and eat and drink beers there. Hopefully things get back to normal next year?
  2. To move this thread into the new month 3/4 of the Wednesday night crew minus @Rednucleus skied Big lake today with water 42 and air 46 conditions were perfect even saw a bald eagle as we were getting ready to ski. Water was nice enough for Doug to do some long line footin. Another great day spent on the lake skiing with your best friends!
  3. Finally got the whole Wednesday night crew out for some free skiing on Big lake today. Yes we even got @Rednucleus to skip out of Hilltop to join us?? air 48 water 46 conditions were pretty good being the only boat in the lake could just see Mt Baker peaking out from some clouds to the north of the lake
  4. Ok so here is dessert. Pumpkin pie with whipped cream, blueberry crisp with ice cream and peanut butter pie. Boy am I full? can’t wait to ski this weekend with the Wednesday night crew
  5. Ok here is the finished bird along with the mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, ham, creamed onions, spinach salad and home made sourdough rolls. Dessert to follow later much later?
  6. Thought I would change things up a little and besides some of you are probably missing the reports and pics of the Wednesday night crew’s Wednesday dinners? Here is the before pic of the turkey I am smoking. Brined it for 2 days then put a special rub on it and will smoke it for about 6 hrs. I will post the pics of the finished bird later today along with the rest of the thanksgiving spread. HAPPY THANKSGiVING to all of the ballers and especially to my 3 ski partners Doug Ken and @Rednucleus
  7. @Rednucleus I got to thinking about your problem more and was surprised that you had any digital clocks in the house at all being that you are such an old school guy. I thought they would all be analog types with your alarm clocks the wind up variety ? I guess I don’t know you as good as I thought I did. What next are you going to ditch the drysuit in cold water and not use the boat heater during the summer months at Bow? ? wonders never cease
  8. @Rednucleus never really thought about the clock as I am in bed by 7:30pm during the week so I can make it up for work at 1:00am☹️ But every time I pass by a lake I think about what it would be like to ski on it? also checking this site multiple times daily has been habit forming. I blame you for introducing me to this forum? thanks. What a great sport!
  9. Here is the sunset over lake Curlew on the Wednesday night crew’s June trip there
  10. @Mike Gile that plate looks like it was run over by the prop?
  11. @Skoot1123 like the old saying says “ work smarter not harder “ ?
  12. @Rednucleus baby steps ? pay close attention and maybe some day they will let you drive. If not you are always welcome to captain my boat anytime?
  13. @Horton agree with you 100% The big money is in the broadcasts of college and pro football college and pro basketball. I don’t think ESPN is interested in any other “minor sport” that doesn’t bring them in a bunch of $$. Thank goodness for the TWBC web casts they are really top notch!
  14. @Rednucleus for an old school guy like you I am surprised you could even figure out how to start the new Nautique let alone try to use any of the dash “dodads” ????
  15. @MNshortliner too many people observing the skier and the driver not watching where they are going equals ooooops $&?+ what just happened? ???
  16. @Skichiro just like @Dockoelboto the Wednesday night crew is from the PNW and we ski year around also. All you need is a drysuit a boat with a heater and hot water shower just ask a our resident cold weather expert @Rednucleus ?. Our regular ski site Bow lake with a course is closed for the season so we free ski Big lake or Clear lake. You are welcome to join us anytime. Just show up with your ski
  17. @teammalibu that last post just earned you your first Lake Curlew panda brought to you from the Wednesday night crew ?
  18. @Than_Bogan here is your panda for bursting my bubble with the post about Batman and Superman not being real. What are you going to tell us next that Santa Claus ? isn’t real too?
  19. @"Keith Menard" don’t let @Rednucleus fool you. With 58 degree water he would be in his dry suit for sure?
  20. @The_MS the drink of choice for most of the others was Doug’s margaritas while I enjoyed a nice IPA from Maui brewing co. Forgot to get a pic of the can in all the excitement ? but it was VERY DRINKABLE ?
  21. The Wednesday night crew celebrated our last ski session at Bow lake tonight. Doug and I started things off last night by skiing Big lake. Doug Ken and I plus special guest Tyler skied Big lake this morning. Doug and Tyler did a whole bunch of barefooting this am while Ken and I free skied. No @Rednucleus ☹️ as he was busy at the clinic. All four of the Wednesday night crew were in attendance for our last ski of our Bow lake season tonight. We had special guest @Rednucleus wife Loni and his employee Allison his daughter Andrea friends of @Rednucleus Stacey and Joel and my wife Heidi. Dinner was a Heinz 57 affair. We started with won ton soup, tongue tacos, glass noodles, ham potato cheese casserole, coleslaw and Mexican street corn finished off with apple pie, apple crisp yellow cake with chocolate frosting and topped off with home made vanilla ice cream ? Sad to see our season come to an end but we will continue to free ski Big lake and Clear lake the rest of the year . A great year with some awesome skiing fantastic food and drinks and the best part of all spending time with the best ski partners/ friends anyone could ask for!
  22. This looks like something the Wednesday night crew should invest in?
  23. @OREGON85 there are lots of options on the internet. My son has one for his Centurion T-5 Comp and it works great holding 2 skis
  24. Here is the report of the Wednesday night crew’s annual wing night. First off Doug and I skied Smokey Big lake this afternoon with good water conditions but not so good visibility with the smoke from all the wild fires. Did a bunch of free skiing while Doug did a whole lot of footin. Joined the other 2 guys for our regular time slot up at Bow. All skied our sets except @Rednucleus who is still on injured reserve with his bad hamstring☹️. Got down to business with a whole bunch of wings, corn on the cob and cucumber salad followed up with home made chocolate chunk and peanut ice cream. Another great night with the best ski partners/friends a guy could ask for!
