  1. @Broussard do you know what kind of sensors LISA used? How could they get the data the ad states without GPS?
  2. Seems like the guys in this thread should be able to validate the various theories. )
  3. Absolutely it is! Makes me want to but a drone.
  4. A couple of options come to mind 1) suck the water out with a shop vac 2) put the boat on the trailer ever so often to fully drain. not sure of the amount of water we are talking about but it might also be possible to leave the engine box up and let evaporation do the trick. This might generally be a good thing anyway to minimize condensation.
  5. @DWi agree it’s yet another money pit for skiers but who doesn’t love a good money pit 😜 if one could superimpose real skier data with some sort of animation of ideal skier data, that would be a super cool coaching aid. I also think it would be cool to have these stuck on the pros at tournaments. @TonyLightfootand crew could then do some telestration type work comparing different skiers.
  6. @Taynton the guys in this video seem to be working on what you want. Other sports e.g. motocross have been using this type of technology for a while
  7. Got mine done last week, one spot biopsied (benign) and fewer pre-cancerous spots frozen than last year so good to go for 2023.
  8. @SlalomSteve love that red/black #20. If I were a buyer, that’s the one I’d build. Well done!
  9. Down about 20 sets compared to 2021 due to nigly injuries and ski parter schedules
  10. I’ve driven none but my old 1985 Ski Centurion pulled Glen Thurlow a few months after he went 205’. He put on a little slalom exhibition at a novice tournament we were putting on. I could have drove but wanted to watch the skiing so let my buddy Warren do the driving. His comments after his opening -22 was (in a thick Aussie accent) “those wakes are enormous”.
  11. Pretty much do everything on the boat that doesn’t require removing the engine. I have no facility for doing that. Same goes for trailer stuff if the boat needs to be off for any length of time, I’m out of luck and would need to take it somewhere.
  12. Yep, VLC is my preferred as well. @03RLXi glad you got it working with quick for desktop installed. I never could in my system. Did you do any magic or did it just work for you?
  13. If you uninstall the Quick for desktop app you should be able to plug the camera into a computer usb port and drag the files like Horton said. I have not found an all encompassing piece of software for the GoPro cameras There are a ton of options for viewers out there. slo-mo and frame by frame are helpful. Some googling should find one you like.
  14. Up a couple lbs by design, trying to build a bit of muscle by the time the season starts.

  16. @WoodySkier is the leak visible? Maybe post a picture of the leaking area?
  17. @Kwoody51 one way to test is to clamp or plug the seals (leave one arm open) and fill the suit with water. You will quickly see any leakage.
  18. Anybody have experience with the Stokes version?
  19. @Rednucleus love the idea of inflatable form. I use rolled up towels with a large zip loc bag over them to prevent any sticking.
  20. You can get seals at Amazon as well. https://www.amazon.com/Gear-Up-Guide-Bottle-Latex/dp/B07BGXQTGB/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=2ENWRB5DWA1SR&keywords=drysuit+seals&qid=1667240914&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIzLjc4IiwicXNhIjoiMy41NiIsInFzcCI6IjIuODcifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=Drysuit+sea%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-3-spons&psc=1 Get the available contact cement and then just seal the edges with Aquaseal. Less expensive and easier to replace when the time comes. Use MEK substitute to remove the old seal glue.
  21. Tonight could be my last ride of the year but hoping for another couple weeks of tolerable weather. I’m out of town next week so hopefully I’ll squeeze in some more skiing the first week of November before we take the course out.
  22. Wow, this is crazy, my buddy @Pullhard and I were just talking about something like this between sets the other day. Wouldn’t it be cool if TWBC put these on the pro’s during a tournament and we could see the differences between each skiers path through the course.
  23. Like others have said, it feels really slow. Sometimes I even have to ask for the time thinking my driver set the speed wrong. This goes along with enough time to focus on various elements of technique…in my head…ok reach here, drive hips there, head up, etc.
  24. In upgrading from a GroPro 7 to a 10 (courtesy of the BOS/GiveGo/GoPro drawing) I realized that the stabilization is so good, it actually inhibits the SkiDoc’s ability to keep the skier in the frame. When I first tried the 10 I thought my SkiDoc was getting stuck or something. With my 7, I could zoom to almost 2x with the 10 I can only do 1.4 which starts to loose the skier at -32. Apparently, the stabilization algorithm sees the rapid swing of the camera from one side the the other as something it needs to dampen thus making it look like the camera is never pointing far enough out. I have confirmed this behavior by turning off all stabilization which allows the skier to stay closer to the center of the frame but suffers from the shaking like a phone. You can also see the effect by the manually pivoting the SkiDoc quickly while you watch the screen. You will notice a lag in the image when you stop at max rotation. @Maxsend Anyway, maybe with a QR configuration, to tone down the horizontal swing stabilization?
  25. In addition to what others have shared, at -22 you are drifting in a long ways before you really start pulling on your gate shot. You start nice and high on the boat but then lose all the width you originally had. You should be stacked and leveraged against the boat well before the white wash. You do this pretty well at -15.
