  1. Hilarious! Been is similar situations, but the air was about 50 degrees colder and the water 30.
  2. That fuddy duddy of a cop represents all that is wrong with this country
  3. I use Babe's was and the seat soap. Love the products - especially the smell of the seat soap!
  4. Don't get angry with @eddie_roberts_jr get some new vector bindings!
  5. I haven't skied the 2017 Lithium, but when I went from the 2016 to the ProBuild I felt the the new core made the ski feel more damp. Totally agree with @eddie_roberts_jr,I felt more in control and the ski felt "stuck" to the water. Definitely more forgiving. If it is not a financial burden go for the Pro Build
  6. Wileys! Prompt and almost free. When I broke mine in Sun Valley mine was there the next morning!
  7. Been on a 67 for years and just went to a 68 this year.
  8. +1 for the Vapors if they fit. If you still have issues and are open to a rubber binding, Wileys does a great job with custom fits. It can be as simple as tracing your foot and mailing it to them.
  9. Nice! I grew up skiing behind a 1965 Century. Wakes were not quite as big as that bad boy, but they got your attention!
  10. Assemble front horseshoe first with overlays in place. Put screws through heel and loosely attach back two screws so there is play in the rear horseshoe. I recommend sitting in a chair for the next part and maybe getting started with an IPA at this point. With the assembled rubber facing away from you place the front of the plate on the chair between your legs. Beware as this can scratch the chair, its best if there is some grip to the chair. One hand on the heel rubber, take the other and grab a wrap. Pull tight over the front toe rubber and hold with the hand on the heel rubber. Grab the other wrap and place it over the first wrap. This will hold the first wrap in place. Continue to pull on the second wrap and tuck it under the heel horseshoe. You can do this with vice grips if you need. Hold pressure on the heel horseshoe to hold in place. Go back the the first wrap and copy move above, wrapping the heel and tucking under the heel hardware. You can make a few adjustments at this point if the wraps don't look right or the lengths are not even. Tighten the heel hardware. If you have the wraps with the holes you don't need to go through the holes if you have a drill rather than a screwdriver. Drink the rest of the IPAs.
  11. Pushed it a bit yesterday at sunrise. Air temp 26* water temp in the 40s. Hands didn't last long but it was calm.......
  12. Best shop ever! They go the extra mile and do the right thing. @jimski - I definitely shot some rubber into the fingers building the bindings! No long term damage as far as I can tell as I can still hold a handle.
  13. Agree with @Andy. Pay cash for depreciating assets!
  14. @gregy, I couldn't agree more. I've had both and now am on a pro build. Best ski out there - easy to ski, forgiving and no limit to performance.
  15. If you are skiing the course at all I'd put you on a 66". I agree with @gregy You can never go wrong with the Vapor!
  16. I'm all for it! I do like the idea of a losers bracket so everyone would get their sets in.
  17. I agree with keeping the inside shoulder up. I almost think of keeping it up and leading with it all the way across the wake. Another one that helps me is driving my hips not only forward, but down into the bouy. This creates angulation and keeps the ski driving. Makes it almost impossible to drop the shoulder.
  18. Pre-curved is the way to go. They prevent bunching and there is no problem releasing or grabbing. +1 for the Radars.
  19. Do you get cramps all the time or just every 28 days?
  20. Its good to have a fixed reference point. When the rope gets shorter it can help you know you are not as far down course as it feels.
  21. Agreed. Look for the next ball as soon as you know you have the current one. Although we did have some success in the past looking at 3 ball as soon as you know you have 1 ball. It helped slow down the turn.
