  1. I switched after years of skiing "wrong". Aids in the transition/edge change going to 246. Whats the worst that can happen? You can always switch back.......
  2. Everyone feels the same way. You will never be ready, but when you go for it you will realize how supportive the ski community is and wonder why you didn't start earlier!
  3. Scott said I'm number 7 on the waiting list. Don't know if that applies to grassroots or not.
  4. Just sent my entry in with a little nudge from the BallOfSpray Pacific Northwest Vice President of Event Management.
  5. There are trade offs and it is to personal preference. Smaller diameter is easier to hold on to, but tears up the hands more. Larger takes more grip, but easier on the hands. I use a 1.062 with medium gloves.
  6. +1 for Babes. Not the cheapest, but it works well, they support skiing, and it smells kinda cool
  7. There are no major concerns swapping out the trick wrap for a slalom set up. You may lose a bit of ankle support/forward pressure, but it may solve the cramping. Like you said it is personal preference. If you hate it you can switch back pretty easily. I used to make bindings at Wiley's. The trick wraps were a pain, but if it has been used before its pretty easy to get back on if the slalom wraps don't work for you. If you need slalom wraps call Wiley's at 206-762-1300
  8. Just finished a clinic with Brooks and KC last week at Radar Lake. Great guys and the coaching is incredible. If you get a chance to go to one of their clinics, do not screw it up!
  9. I got a pair of tricks for my girls at Wiley's. One is left foot and one is goofy. They were able to put a rear toe on each ski going either direction so they could use them for a starter single. The ones I got are not high end, but for the kids it was all we needed. Call Darren at 206-762-1300
  10. We had stargazer set up on a 2000 Nautique that worked great. We added the z'box and everyone in our group got significantly worse. We removed it and the stargazer worked great again. Don't know if it was our install or a boat issue. I moved the zbox to my 2006 197 TT and it works great. Very predictable.
  11. I could be a ground issue as well. You can rule this out with a control test. Hit up arrow and menu buttons together -hit menu until you get to device test -hit menu to get past rope switch screen you will now be in control test mode Throttle up. It should hold about 1700rpm. Flip on lights, heater, stereo, everything electronic. If RPM changes it is likely a ground issue. I think there is a video on their website that goes through it. Perfect Pass has great customer service, give them a call and they will talk you through whatever the issue may be. Good luck!
  12. We installed it on a 99 Nautique that was running great with stargazer. Our whole crew got worse to the point of wanting to quit the sport. I took it out and all was good again. I took the same z-box and installed it on my DBW 197 TT MC and it works great.
  13. I tried one on and it felt great. It seemed easier to raise my heel up, but still felt secure. I have not actually skied on one
  14. What I really need is a giant magnet that keeps pulls my hips up to the handle.........
  15. Camaro monkey suit. Not only is it an awesome product, but when it comes out it is a sign summer is on the way!
  16. Camaro monkey suit although stuck in baggy drysuit this time of year
  17. Seattle water temp is about 46* but the water from the shower is 175* which warms you up in a hurry!
  18. +1 for Masterline. Handles are great as well.
  19. Get the best Vapor you can afford. I agree with @eddie_roberts_jr so much that I tried to steal his ski! Very stable ski that can take everything you can give it.
  20. This poll is flawed. There is no ALL OF THE ABOVE choice.......
  21. I agree with @Mark_Matis. Hook up a heater and dry it out.
