  1. Still kicking! My dermatologist freeze's two to six spots each year but I will take that. Back to four month bladder scoping. If that goes good for another year or two I go back to A year of six month scooping. Then once A year. That was the point I was going to last recurrence. All I can say is don't hesitate if you see or think something might be wrong. My Urologist just chuckles and says I am money in the bank for him! I am going to need prostate reduction soon. Dammer this getting old $#it is a bummer! But skiing better the ever!!!!!!!!!! How long before spring? Took the last docks and lifts out today. It now officially winter for us.
  2. Positive thoughts!!!! I will be including you in my thoughts and prayers.
  3. All my boats docks and lifts are out. We still have one boat in but this week looks like crap. Friday and Sunday look to have possibility. But then that is putting good faith in a long look forward on a weather call in Michigan! What could be wrong with that picture????????????
  4. I think the transmission is much simpler. I would bet more cost efficient . Remember if it worked you might want to market something. Developing new parts is so costly. The Eco is something that would be fun to try but not cheep. With the weight change I think you would need to look at prop shaft angle to keep the hull working at its best.
  5. We will get and are getting the new technology just for the simple reason we will get what is on the market. The new GM has direct injection as most all of the industry now. It makes fuel control so much better and more efficient. The big hold back is the limited number of engines used for marine. GM and Ford will not make many engines marinized just for the cost with limited sales. If the need was big enough for more the one or two large manufactures we would see more options. I also don't know how much fuel economy you would see the Eco give in the wake world but I have no experience with wake boats. They have the power and torque but might not save fuel. I do know pulling large heavy trailers with the Eco you can get reasonable fuel economy staying at or under 65mph over 70 or more.
  6. Yeper you don't even feel the turbo kick in. Its Pure power form the start. Even steady power.
  7. Can you expand on not changing the trans?
  8. I have thought about using a CC trans to reverse my rotation on my Malibu might as well drop the Eco in at the same time. If I still had our racing shop it would be a winter project. What one will do for a better wake! Or I could keep my ballistic cheep and easy. YA but nothing engineered! Don't have an issue with my wake if I am not skiing without a spotter.
  9. I think it would be easy and not expensive to cool the exhaust system. yes it would be something not being used today at least that I know of. Like a wood burning chimney pipe you could use a exhaust pipe inside a insulator pipe that could be cooled even more with water. same with the turbos boxed with outside cooled.
  10. I want to see the Eco boost in a boat. Even the little four cylinder is capable of the power we need. The V6 on regular fuel pumps out 450 hp. on premium the new Navigator is in the 550hp area. With toque to go with it. Something like 480 ft pounds.
  11. One of my ski partners works for a large well known company that has put tones of money and time into the battery end. About A year ago they returned a very large Grant because they found a block that some of the best could not get past. Its not the knowledge how but the ability to produce A component of what a battery will require to make it past the point achieved today. And if you dig deep its just not as good as it sounds. Also the emissions out of today's gas burners is very low and dropping significantly in the upcoming years. I wish you could see what is needed to do now just to get accurate measurements when I left the industry things were measured in PPM today its PPT Analytic' s mounted on huge shock resistant concrete blocks just so interments are not effected from vibration. This is not to say it's not going to happen the work is ongoing. I know both GM and Ford and I am sure most all if not all of the auto corporations. It just looks to be down the road more then many may like.
  12. One of the guys I ski with had both replaced same time in Feb. and was skiing in June. He is not a course skier but he skis well and said he wonders why he waited to do it.
  13. We start as soon as the ice is off if debris is not to bad and stop end of Oct. Mid Mich. one needs a week or so to get ready for hunting. Dry to shorty for me. Skied March 17 in a shorty three years ago then had to go back to dry two week later for another month.
  14. Oh and when they came back up they were somewhat confused for another five minutes or so.
  15. So we were running our GPS's on our ATV's the other day and both myself and my brothers dropped out lost everything for a short time. About five minutes. Both at the same time and lasted nearly the same time. We both had something like 15 satellites with good signals showing. I was wondering if our government may be playing with something?
  16. You said it made noise before shutting down. So I bet you were smoking the bearings at that point. shutting it down and the crank keeps expanding from the heat. as soon as you start the rod is for basically frozen to the crank. At any point you had very significant damage before you restarted.
  17. I used the head mount on the spotter.
  18. This has been one of the worst years I can remember in Mid Michigan. Wind, rain, flooding and debris. But the last two week have made up somewhat. Skied eight of the last eleven days.
  19. Did the same thing about three years ago. Went from no issues with deep water starts two boots to failing to get up three or four times before getting up. I know what I was doing wrong and just could not brake the bad habits. And yes it felt like my grip was lacking. In truth it was all technick. worked on it and its back to nearly never missing a start. Yes I use clincher, Vice gloves and I also was getting heavy, no fat! So I fixed that also but after getting my starts down so size was not my biggest problem but sure does not help. I went from 255 to 210 lbs over the last two years and at 66 I am skiing my best ever!
  20. Been using them for many years. Clinchers then vice. For me I like them tight, helps me from folding the strap if my release is lazy. Sure keeps my hands from ripped apart.
  21. Blue and Gold........... Go Michigan!!!!!!!!
  22. Been using 303 for many years. I get it in gallon jugs.Use it on more then the boat. When I put the lift cover away for the off season I was it and put a good coating on it. My ski tug is now ten years old and the seats are still soft no seams blowing out. Don't know if its the 303 but it seams to work.
  23. My question, is it for bugs and water drops, spray? Or do you need to protect for a face plant?
  24. One or two sets and some fishing ! What a morning!
  25. Dick McGibbon I may be the old fart 65. Live outside of Midland Mi. I have been lucky enough to have participated in many sports single and team. From Fast Drag racing Pro stock cars run in sportsmen classes to large sail boat racing. Lived snow skiing for some of my young years and skied with some of the best back then. Raced dirt bikes mostly woods enduro some motocross. water skied as a kid then moved to snow. Got back into water skiing back in 96 and have been skiing since. Did a small amount of course but we lost our course so just work at improving open water skiing. Ski hard at 35off 36mph and love it. Sking better today then ever. Oh how humbling a course makes us. I live on a lake ans ski three or more time a week. Three times is a bad week! Getting deep into photography now but looking forward to another ski season. It look to be only week away from starting. Ice just went out, but then its going into the single digits tonight and snow this weekend.
