I had to get my sissy la la suit back out the last few nights. The water is back up to mid 60's but the air has been dropping into the 50's in the evenings. We have had so much wind we have been getting out just before sun set when it is calming down. This has been one strange summer so far. Started the season March 21 in a shorty one week later into a dry back to a shorty now back to a dry. I am so confused!!!

"That chin up bar thingy, Dude! " Dude, I am way to old and fat to do any chin ups. Maybe if I cut it down I can rest my belly on it.

My Sahara dry suit. I don't know what I am going to do when it gives up. I also thought what will I do without Clinchers. I also moved over to Radar

Thank's to all for good wishes. I am now clean and green no Melanoma left! If you suspect anything get it checked. I cough it early only one spot more the .1mm deep. .1mm is early. I got two good sets in yesterday so things are just getting better and better now if we can just get the weather to give us a brake. I don't know what I will do when my Sahara gets used up. Don't think anyone makes dry suits for fat old farts.

The weather has been pis poor and not letting me get a lot of time on the water but have been back 8 days after surgery.

Thanks all! I will be going in on the 17th for surgery and Nuclear Lymphoscint sentinel node and if all goes well and it will, I will get two other small procedures. I had a small Basile cell area removed but need more work as it is in the corner of my right eye over the tear duct. and then I showed them a bump on my right elbow. A fatty tumor but its around a nerve so need to see a hand and arm specialist. Why can't it just be someplace you just cut them out!!!! Oh well I will get all patched up and all will be fine. In the end if you have any dough get it checked. It can be a miner thing if cough early! As 6Balls said diagnosed melanoma patients are doing great. All this will be done at U of M.

Well I don't have a slalom course but many new skiers. Some that did not even know how to swim! One of my ski partners has a lot of Chines engineers come over for work and we have got many up on skis. Its fun to see the face on a grown person skiing and many times the firs time they have been in water other then a pool or tub. One we got up he went around the lake yelling at the top of his lungs "I flying I flying". The one thing common with them, none want to let go after falling. We half to work with them to let them know we will come back and pick them up.

Sorry to see this! Get well soon and come back with vengeance. I got a good ski in today first run in some time but my problem was weather. Doc would have liked me to sit out a week but this is the first day without white caps in two weeks.

99 ss lxi I ski one @ 36mph the wake is very good. We are running shorter line 15 to 35 off I have skied it at 34mph and still liked it. At 36 and 35 off I don't think I could tell the difference between my R lxi and the SS lxi. 99 was the first year for the Diamond hull, I think through 2004.

Skied March 21 in a shorty, one week after ice out. Its been down hill from then on. First ski water was 68-69 last I looked it was 54. Not getting much time on the water is been so windy!!! Weather man talking snow tonight. So who do I talk to about this weather.

I have a pair of prescription glasses that are made for racket ball held on with a strap around your head. I still tie them off to the vest. They do work OK but I still like Nothing. I start my boat and let it run at idle until the thermostat has opened even in warm weather. I idle around this gives the transmission a chance to get the oil moving in it also. I worked at one of the big three for 30+ years and we tested at -50 deg all the time. Many of our tests only gave the engine 20 seconds before going into drive cycles. I will say autos do use a light viscosity oil today but in the old days the oil was not that light.

T-Shirt, Swim suit, and yes my vest. As JC said its impact protection. I will go to a long sleeve T if its cod.

I skied the 9500 for a number of years and loved it. Some runs on the 9700 but back to the 9500 in short order. I always thought the 9500 was one of the one of the most forgiving hi end ski's. I have moved on to another brand thinking I get better performance on wind chop water.

So if Chef23 is correct I can lose 30lbs ski better and still be a fat old fart! Sorry couldn't help!

Wow! Had a biopsy done and Dr. said first test said precancerous. This is on my left temple so to the surgeon, he removed the area in question. I went back to the Dr. today to have stitches removed and was floored as he said its not all we need to do. I have Melanoma. Dr. is now setting up a trip down to Ann Arbor melanoma clinic. Just sitting hear and trying to come back to my senses. wow is my mind doing all sorts of thing now !!! Just let my wife know and trying to think how to tell my son. So in the end if all goes well And I end up with plastic surgery just think if they take the skin from my a$$ I will be able to tell the wife to KISS MY A$$ and mean it. Wish me luck!!!

Started the 21 of March in a shorty. Back in to a dry now water lost 19 deg. Air temp going down to 24 for the second night in a row. Mid Michigan.

My summer has come to a quick end. Temps down to 27 tonight water was down to 60 at 4pm yesterday. I cant beleave this weather. The dry suite will come out tomorrow.

yeper!!!!! the boys confirmed it when I got in! My lake warms fast but ya this was amazing. I kept thinking the temp reading must be bad but the air temp was way to warm for anything more. Our lake is like a big V shape feed by two main rivers. My side, the river is feed by vast swamp area so the water warms very fast if we have sun. And the last week has been OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Arms and back are telling me today how much fun I had. Its funny I think my life vest and wet suite may have shrunk!

I got the boat back on the water yesterday and started ski season today!!!!! Earliest I have ever skied in Michigan. We had ice out last Wednesday and skied in a shorty today water 69 air 83. What a way to start the season.
