  1. @skimtb we did that a good few years ago at the same site @Deep11 skis, gave up on it after the first winter.
  2. @Andre he missed the handle at 4 ball
  3. If I remember correctly exactly what is being talked about above happened at the 2017 Worlds in Paris. Rob Hazelwood skied in good conditions early in the week but storms came through Thursday and Friday and all the top ranked skiers had lower than usual scores leaving Rob to come out a few days later to run off for 12th with Felipe Miranda. Full scores here https://iwwfed-ea.org/competition.php?cc=T-17IWWF03&page=men_slalom_results
  4. A bit too much weaving https://www.facebook.com/thewaterskiskool/videos/1421884941224992/
  5. 16 years ago an amateur waterskier and dentist disgraced the waterski community by hosting this competition at his own site, today @adamhcaldwell proved that it could be done without cheating just hard work and dedication and of course an Andy Mapple body slide around 3 ball :)
  6. @swbca great that you have now posted a picture and most will notice your lack of connection but I am sure that @scoke will now give you the benefit of his knowledge and help you to get to where you want to be B)
  7. I was on a 66.5" Denali V 3.4 when I dropped to 32 mph it worked well at this speed and I ran into 35 off on it a few times in practice, unfortunately it broke. I went back onto my 66.75" Mapple 6.0 which I haven't run 32 off on despite having @SkiJay set it up for me, I am now on a 68.5" 6.0 and my scores are the same, took the wing off for one set last week and that felt promising so will see how it goes this weekend. This is my 5th year at 32 mph and it all feels downhill as I am getting older and less fit and wonder if it is worth getting a new ski, will be interesting to see what other people are on.
  8. Did anyone win the TWBC audience prize for men's slalom? I doubt many predicted the podium.
  9. In the U.K. most boats run on LPG and there are some big scores behind them.
  10. 70 this year, my practice PB is 1@-35 at 34, 32 & 30mph looks like I have peaked on line length but will keep trying B)
  11. @OldboyII my thinking on the handle guard is if a 32 off hacker like myself can put an arm through the handle there is a distinct possibility that my head could go through it and as @mmosley899 states "The main goal here is preventing your head from going through the bridle. That pretty much insures death. Each skier can choose what coverage best suits their needs". I could probably survive an arm through the handle but not much chance with my head, we are all free to make our own choices and mine is to use a handle guard :)
  12. This happened 2 years ago when my arm went through the handle in a fall, I felt something pop when the rope tightened and it was sore as hell but I was lucky there wasn't a lot of damaged, I have been using a handle guard ever since. I have noticed when Freddie Winter falls he holds the handle as long as possible and then throws it.
  13. Go RFF so she won't regret being a lefty all her life :D
  14. @swbca search "back arm pressure" on this forum, starts about 2012 then work your way forward should keep you occupied for a while but I doubt you will learn any thing, hence @Drago 's comment >:)
  15. A must have if you break down in the middle of the lake :D
  16. It should look like the pictures below, I am guessing the tab has been bent when putting the liner in, I would either try to straighten it using a heat gun and be careful fitting the liner or cut it off like the white cuff, either way it is no use the way it is.
  17. From what I see you want to look at the previous Spraymakers podcast "Fundamental Flaws" and you will learn a lot more from that as will 80+% of ballers including me.
  18. Ski seems big but will be great to learn the course at slower speeds 24/26mph, hope you aren't trying to run the course at 34 that is a recipe for disaster.
  19. Try to realise there is more to life than buoy count and go on to enjoy my skiing more, probably won't happen but as long as I am getting a buzz from it and meeting good friends I will keep at it.
  20. When the Adams first suggested putting washers under the fin block I did it to my Mapple 6.0 and it started to whistle, like @A_B I put duct tape over the gap and it stopped whistling.
  21. Hammond are great drysuits, I have 2 only things I have replaced are the seals which are perishable on any drysuit. But I haven't used them for the last couple of winters as wetsuit technology has moved on and I now use an O'neill Physco1 which keeps me warm, dryish and a lot less drag than a drysuit.
  22. Being 5 hours ahead of most of you I kept checking BOS on the 1st to see if @Horton was going to post one this year and have got to admit this was one of his best >:)
