  1. I have been using them for a year now, I like the fit and they are lasting longer than anything else I have tried for the price, I usually wear out at least two pairs a season.
  2. Skied A1+ for a year until a driver forgot to put the plus in and it felt really easy so went back to A1, I had skied C1 before going to A1+
  3. @brettmainer in defence of @Deep11, he lives the endless summer albeit in "sunny" Scotland and rarely misses a week at any time throughout the year. He had just returned from a week of skiing in Orlando and was looking forward to another great season.
  4. Last dog post before skiing starts again This is my JRT Sammy (father of Harvey in previous pics) who could escape from anywhere when he was younger, will be 18 years old in June and doesn't climb much anymore.
  5. Back in the 80's my JRT Tam would swim after our boat if he slipped his collar I was always having to pick him up, I took him skiing once but don't think he was too impressed.
  6. Harvey the JRT & Murphy the Staffy, Harvey is the boss
  7. I bought two pairs of Stokes gloves at the beginning of last season one to wear with liners and one without, both are still going strong and don't doubt they will last at least for this coming season, pretty good going as I normally wear out two pairs of gloves a season. B)
  8. My 2 dogs were named Sammy and Deena after 2 of the best skiers around when I got hooked on slalom.

  15. Have had my book for over a year now, read it and put it away as Andy had set my ski up for me and I was very happy with it as I don't have sound consistent technique. I changed my ski mid season and have had a lot of help from the makers getting it set up but am getting fed up feeling like a duffus asking them about my setup so I have brought the book out again and with it's help along with the settings I have used and videos of me I am hoping to get a better understanding of what happened with the fin changes. Don't know if I will be brave enough to put it into practice and experiment though :(
  16. Making me jealous, skied in water 1C and air 7C on Sunday, then again our water is lucky to reach 22C mid summer and we are into shorts & rash vest around 18C :/
  17. Coldest place winter skiing is the driver's seat even with a heater :p
  18. Skiing in Scotland today after clearing the ice, the guy who took the picture let his wife test the water first.
  19. Had to clear some ice to ski yesterday and the air temp was too low to register on the boat, don't know about baller index but do know it was Baltic.
  20. Just for comparison on what @Chris Rossi said, this is the same boat, same speed and line length taken yesterday and I am always being accused of not getting high enough on the boat, unfortunately I fell in at 2 ball on this pass but I am not as adept at 14 metres as @Deep11. Taxi for cam :)

I should have put in my question does it matter or is it worth trying to change?

A lot of people comment that I ski with me knees apart on my onside pull, it has never really bothered me apart from not looking pretty, I have tried to change it a few times but always end up skiing the same. Has anyone got any tips to change this? I have thought about tying them together with a bungee cord but don't think that is a great idea.
  23. Can't beat a bucket of hot water mid set
  24. Turn 65 this month, had a great start to the season running 28 off in April which I usually don't manage until June, unfortunately had a slump in June and my new ski arrived around the same time, had a miserable 2 months with a lot of highs and lows. By mid August I was about to can the new ski when one of my ski friends told me I wasn't skiing bad it was just my timing at 1 ball was slightly out, so I went back to basics and free skied for a week and felt much better when I got back in the course. I had really high hopes for this season but it all came right in the end when I ran 28 off in two rounds of competition the first time I have done this since ZO came on the scene. Looking forward to winter training now in the cold Scottish water and more pb's in 2017.
