  1. I normally ski A2 34mph but after reading JMac's post I was having a pretty good set last week so I tried some changes, last 4 passes at 22 off were, A2, A3, B2 & C2, can't say I noticed a massive difference but did find A2 easiest. Last month I tried C1 and although 22 was easy I couldn't run 28 with it but had no problems when I went back to A2.
  2. This video is from the first round of the 2016 European Championships in Spain where Sacha scored 3 @ 41 so would guess this is his 39 pass.
  3. Update on the 3.4, I turn 65 next month and thought I would try 32mph in preparation for next year, I had never been past 3 ball at 32 off 32mph before but got 3.5 first attempt and ran it on the second and managed 1 at 35 off a couple of times, so something is working B)
  4. Schnitz did an "Innerview" with Sacha back in 2005 here is a link to it http://www.schnitzskis.com/innerviews.html
  5. Never had any problems since I put this piggy back AAA on, doesn't look pretty but does the job
  6. @Horton I have had that problem and it was caused by a bad battery connection.
  7. Monza, pb'd in a comp while it was still on demo and added 8 tournament buoys in a season on it.
  8. I am not one of the most technical skiers around, I have been on my Denali since mid June and am really getting to like it now. I am starting to find what @Wish and @Than_Bogan have been saying about being easy on the body is true and am finding the less I do the better the ski performs. In our last competition of the year last weekend I scored 1 & 1.5 @ 32 off, the first time I have ran 28 off in a competition since 2008 when zero off came on the scene and I managed it in consecutive rounds.
  9. I have watched @Deep11 on his last 3 skis and always admired how early he hit the buoy line which I think shows in the 12m pass on his 6.0 above, the picture below was taken at 13m on his Rev 6 and shows a radical difference in his line through the course. All this talk about the 6.0 is making me think about taking mine back from my wife if I am brave enough.
  10. I ran a pass at 32 off last year age 63, yet to do it again this year but like @Horton still looking for more
  11. @MISkier luckily it didn't hurt the boat is a Response and gunnell saver is aluminium checker plate fitted by our handyman
  12. I attached the rope so no one to blame but myself but was happy to find the rope hadn't broke.
  13. This still hurts when I watch it, was daft enough to have the same fall again last year, have since changed my front binding.
  14. I got this for my birthday, pretty much sums me up :o
  15. Broke a thin crust of ice to ski on Sunday BI of -54, only managed one set each getting soft in our old age, looking forward to a couple of sets today BI forecast is -24.

    Reflex mod

@dchristman I used 4mm by 30mm stainless, bought them off EBay 99p for 10 delivered, in Europe the original bolts are 4mm and a good fit.
  18. I have recently moved to a Reflex 750 after a spate of 404 breakages, only wish I had done it sooner. I have noticed a lot 500 & 750 releases wear out quickly at the "hinge" where they attach to the plate, when I received my set up the hinge screws were fully threaded and I can only see that working as a saw on the mild steel arms, I bought some longer bolts with shanks and cut them down to hopefully make my release last longer.
  19. Hope you mean no wing, if no fin please post video.
  20. When my wife got back into skiing at the age of 57 I got an HO Triumph for her which was great for her confidence, she had no plans to run the course but 4 years later she is running it on her blue Fischer, never say never.

    Mid-loops

Mid loops are not so great if you don't know they are on the rope you are using. I borrowed a friends rope at a ski school without knowing he had a mid loop between 22 & 28, I started at 15 and shortened the rope 4 times and both me and the coach were sure I had ran 32 for the first time, it was not until the next day and I had told the world we realised the mistake.
  22. Last year I watched on my IPad and laptop at the same time so random adverts would be on at different times
  23. I retro fitted a Zero Off system to 2008 Nautique 196 with a PCM engine five years ago and it was very simple just plug & Play.
  24. 10 days into a 4 week recovery period after an eye operation with walking being the only exercise allowed and I feel like climbing the walls, especially when I look at my webcam and see the ice has melted and my mates are out skiing again, enough to drive a man to drink
