  1. @usaski1. I swear we need to move that seat back some when I get home. I don't want to see you endo again off the ramp. It scarred my memory for a long time.
  2. @usaski1 Would be cool and interesting to have video of you from above. I would bet not many people turn as hard at the buoy as you. If we could just not lose the ground through the wakes, you could run 41 with those turns.
  3. @kfennell I'm sure you'll get me back and we will both enjoy it. Want you to bring it up some time and try it at our place. Maybe get you to make us a video for our website. Be cool to shoot the open skiers during our July record.
  4. Must of had all the batteries plugged in for this one. Staying up there is key. Cool video.
  5. 15 years ago I could of cared less. Then a daughter was born and my perspective was changed forever. @mrjones I get it man. Free country though. She can do whatever she likes and has that right.
  6. @ski6 nice job trav. Sure looking better than your brother! Can see the place still the same. Nothing but glass. See you soon. Maybe come take a few rides.
  7. @OB‌ you don't want my job. It has proven to be extremely bad for my skiing scores. We didn't need 5 skis. Two of them friends grabbed and just replaced ours with a new one.
  8. We have had at least 5 Nano one skis made in different time frames ( within 14 months) and as long as I measure with tips, not jaws, they all ski almost identical. If we set the fin up with jaws it's not the same, which means the fin settings were coming up dramatically different. (I have written about this before) I left one in South Africa and one at my house in TX and if I wouldn't have had one made in green to be different, I'm not sure I could have told you which was which. The two skis were made almost 12 months apart. Changing liners actually seems more significant and messes with me. I carried those back and forth when possible.
  9. Here a great boat for less than 50 right now. (at least after the Masters. Need it til then) This was simply one of the best promo boats in the country last year. Ask anyone. http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=41846
  10. This was my best option for that plate. We only have two of the holes ground out right now because it was all we needed. Seems to be working well so far and she doesn't notice it.
  11. @shaneh just mounted one on a rear toe plate. Much better than messing with dual lock. http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/marcaustin11/mikrojust.jpg
  12. @scotchipman‌ Ahh, but The secret Is when @ms got them they weren't the stock numbers. See how influential that guy is. Everyone wants to be like @MS‌ Dft is key. Get that one wrong and It's not great.
  13. @scotchipman Bailey is 125lbs on a 65 XT and runs the same numbers she ran on her Nano One, which by the way are the same numbers I gave @ms in 2012 which he keeps posting. (I think this at least the 7 or 8th time he has posted them) They don't seem to change. By the way, gotta use tips on that length. The jaw not always the same from ski to ski.
  14. An eagle ski sock with the built in fin protector isn't a heck of a lot more than that and kills two birds with one stone. Nice design though.
  15. This is a great product that solved a real problem we were having. It seems like every Reflex plate we have has the holes opened up to get the boot in the right spot and then we would fight the plate slipping forward no matter what I did, including having the rubber under the plate. There simply is no more movement and the binding plate stays where I set it. I also like not having to try and tighten the screws so tight to get the plate to not move that I worry about damaging the inserts. The small adjustments also make it easy to find the sweet spot. I would recommend installing one of these where applicable. For us it's been nice to have one less thing to worry about.
  16. My biggest concern is if I have to drill holes that aren't in the ski already, how does it effect my warranty? Went away from Fogmans for that very reason. A great looking system, but something I would need to think about how to solve.
  17. @shaneH how about a Goode Fire? Great price and performance for the money.
  18. @shaneH Agree longer and deeper are better on that ski at 28off and 32off, but the numbers I gave you when you start back up the line will make the ski get better as the rope gets shorter. My gut is you will end up back where I started you. That's where almost everyone has ended up, but agree 28 and 32off isn't great with those.
  19. @ozski Be patient with it. It will feel very different at first. Need any advice or help just let me know.
  20. @mmosley899 This may have been asked already but here goes. It looks like additional holes will need to be drilled in the ski over the standard pattern. Am I correct on this? Also, understand you can mount your own boots. Does the setup accommodate being able to change your spread? (think it will but wanted to ask) I tried the Fluid motion double 6's many years ago and felt they were very safe, but could never get the adjustments right as I couldn't change my spread. It was both boots move or nothing. Looks like you have done a nice job by the way and certainly put in a lot of thought.
  21. @ghibli It will tone the entire way down the course with me, but I am known to pull a little bit at times. Believe it or not, it will even do it at that elevation with my daughter when she gets to 35off. It's obviously the elevation, but just makes everything harder and you never get into a rhythm. I have just started running back to backs at 32 off behind it and will wait til I get home in a few to shorten up. @bruce_butterfield Right as usual. Last season while waiting for a new promo boat to come in @Tfin and I had to ski behind Jimmy's Siemers MC jump boat everyday for about 2 months. The thing is crazy strong and all we did was bitch about it for the first 2 days. After getting accustomed to it we started running some of the easiest and earliest passes ever. Hope your doing well and not freezing back there.
  22. @Wish This work? http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/marcaustin11/DeadHorse.jpg
  23. @JJVDMZN‌ The turbos on those engines are water jacketed and I believe use the same cooling source as the exhaust. The rest of the engine uses closed cooling. They seem to be lightweight and I was impressed by the small size. I'm not an expert on diesels at all. Ski/wake board boats just came to mind when I saw them as a potential application. They are built and completely made marine ready by VW at their factory to Mercury's specs and meet US emission standards. Just thought it was interesting.
  24. @shaneh Not sure anyone but hard core drag racers will understand that last post. By the way, I could of eaten a turkey sandwich during a pass if my old car only ran a 7.70. I did have a little more tire than you though. Anyway, glad were both away from that racing disease. Too dam expensive. Mercury Marine just released some really cool new diesel engines that VW is producing for them. When I saw these during a project I'm doing for them now I immediately thought this could be great for a wake board board boat and maybe even a ski boat someday. Would have to solve all the speed control issues and turbo issues for sure. http://www.mercurymarine.com/engines/diesel/tier-three/4.2L/
  25. I can say one thing. I am having to ski behind a 196 5.7L Nautique right now at 6000' elevation and all I do is pull. I can't get anywhere, get no space and just chase the thing and it frustrates the hell out of me. I don't think ZO works well with that little horsepower. (It wasn't designed for it either) I found a calculator on the internet and it tells me to factor the horsepower at .77. So I guess that means the old 343HP is really only giving about 264 hp. I can't wait to get back home to my 5.7 Malibu at sea level or a 200 with a 6L. (I always like the 200 6L better than the 5.7)
