  1. Great info Jpwhit! Great offer I may take you up on! An update for everyone today.. I started the boat.. all zeros.. dang! Parked at the dock.. turned the master switch on/off a few times. No change. Reached under the dash and jiggled wires close to the screen. It all came to life, showed all numbers, got gps sats, and I took a set. Something is loose under the dash by the screen.
  2. How do I put it in rec mode?
  3. Yes. That’s what I replaced 2 weeks ago.
  4. I have a 2016 MC, and ZO has decided to intermittently stop working. When it doesn’t work, the screen shows all zeros. I have replaced the computer under the dash with a new one last month. I have also removed, sprayed with electrical cleaner spray and reattached all ECM plugs thinking there may be a loose connection. Very frustrating. Any other ideas?
  5. Oh mannn.. my BOS shirt got thrown out with the stuff from the fire! I need to get another..
  6. Basically learned how to ski a course on Don Pedro in the 90’s. Parents and I had a houseboat on it for more than a decade…

    ZO issue

So far so good. Have used the boat for about 3 days, with no ZO issues. Hope it lasts!

    ZO issue

    That’s a good idea… I’ll try that.

    ZO issue

I took the unit out of the firewall yesterday. Unplugged it, then took it apart, and looked for anything loose. Everything looked good. Someone told me the back plate on that has to be water tight, or ZO will surge. Doesn’t make sense for something electronic? I get it if it gets wet though.. but I don’t think it would in the kick panel.
  10. Good to know. Sounds like I’ve still got a decent amount of time left on it.. probably!

    ZO issue

Single Puck. That’s a thought, maybe the puck is going out..

    ZO issue

The ZO in my 2016 MC is flakey. I’ve detected 3 states. One, where everything is fine and works normal. Two, the ZO doesn’t engage, and it doesn’t find any satellites. Sometimes all the numbers on the screen are zeros. Three, the ZO will not engage, and I cannot change the speed on ZO. The two arrow buttons are not present. When either 2 or 3 happen I can sometimes fix it by turning off the master switch and letting it sit for a few moments.
  13. Just a general question. Assuming oil is changed on time, and it doesn’t get too hot, how many hours could I get on a 2014-2020 motor? I have 1100 on mine now..
  14. If you can do it, ZO is worth the upgrade, as long as you don’t have to swap the motor.. but for If you just need a new ECM and ZO, I would say worth it. I lucked out and found someone selling ZO, and the ECM I needed in 2918 for $15OO. Totally worth it.. but then that boat got destroyed in a tornado a year later!
  15. Started tournament skiing about age 14 (‘92 ish) after several people started to say I had potential. Initially, just disabled tournaments.. then started to go to some regular tournaments after my skiing coach/buddy started to notice I was getting better.. ‘96 ish. Won disabled nats in ‘97. Won the disabled worlds in England, slalom in ‘99. Won disabled worlds again in 2000 overall in Australia. Built a house on a ski lake in 2007. Was the first disabled skier to ski at “regular” nationals in San Marcos 2014, at age 37. Waterskiing changed my life forever. Still love it!
  16. Steve (Mongo) was a regular at our Aquaplex tournaments. Great guy, always friendly, and great to talk to. Was just talking about him last night. Sad. He will be missed, and his absence felt by many here.
  17. :D I thought this thread was going to be about a divorce!
  18. When, from the age of 13, all you ever wanted in life was to live on a ski lake. You finally make that happen, at age 30, but it requires you to move 1800 miles from where you grew up, and you and your wife have to quit your good jobs, and find new jobs. It’s all worked out though. Wife is no longer around, but that’s a minor consequence for living on a ski lake!
  19. I’m not a fan of the 21’s slalom wake in the 20’s.. it’s sharper with more kick to it. But I know it was engineered for the slalom wake at 34. When I was behind the 21, I thought, great! I’ll just keep my ‘16 MC, I just saved 40 grand!
  20. Oh boy,. I move to M4 next year.. that's where a lot of the guys have the $ to buy ski lake houses! I mostly practice at my lake, and tournament ski.
  21. I can get you going. I have boat, lake, and ski. The ski isn’t top of the line or anything, but you’ll get some rope time in.
  22. 200!! But if you can’t, 196 all the way. I love MC, I have a ‘16, but you gotta buy the wake, and the 196 is way better in that regard.
  23. Shoot some of you guys got it good... I paid $2k/yr in the late 90's for one lake, and bring your own gas, or pay $5 a set.
  24. It’s hard to think of something that has had a bigger impact than skiing for me. At 43, I’ve been skiing for 30 years. When I was a teenager, I thought if you lived on a ski lake, you were bigger than a rockstar. When I was 30, I made that happen for myself. When I was 22, in 1999 I won the disabled worlds in England. It’s given me this huge charge throughout my life, something that still pushes me forward some days. Through different jobs, different houses, different states, old friends, new ones, marriage, and divorce, skiing was there, and it still is! I’ve just never found anything in life that’s flipped my switch like skiing, and I’ve looked. I probably never will.
  25. @Thomasasher chart looks good on that. Never heard of MAGNA before though. Man I’ve 4x’d my $ on TSLA and NIO though.
