  1. I haven't been able to log in with IE7
  2. Just spit balling here, but if all the MN ballers grabbed a chainsaw and some poles I bet we could clear a path in the ice somewhere to get that thing on the water.
  3. That is awesome, not bad for the Apple Capital.
  4. Thanks guys. Think I will order the 1" and see. I've been using a variety of handles depending on where I am skiing, but as I keep thinking about taking it more serious I know I need to pick one handle and bring it to whatever boat I am behind. Always felt most comfortable with an old Straight line but I don't know the diameter off hand. I do notice that some buddies I don't mind the handle and others I can't not think about it.
  5. Ordering a new handle on Monday and the only thing to decide is 1" or .94". Is there any real difference in that .06"? I assume it is all personal choice but I really don't know which I would like more.
  6. I to was wondering if there would be a nice hole where the pipe is shooting out the water.
  7. @6balls I don't know the ice thickness up around McGregor but this past weekend we were just starting to lose snow on the lake. A few bare spots the rest was hard crusty snow. Just be glad we had all this snow this winter or the ice would have been unreal thick with the cold temps. 2 years ago on the 22nd I was skiing with @MS in a wetsuit because some rain had dropped the water temp into the 60s! Never mind it was the only time I skied that year due to surgery.
  8. @MS it varies year to year. Last year the run was awesome and 350 taps gave us something like 36 gallons finished. We have 200 in right now and will be putting out more this coming weekend. Have to see if I can grab a bottle for ya.
  9. Hey temps in the 30-40s darn near every day in the extended day, this keeps up and we have a shot at average ice out! @MS I'm still holding on to hope for April 17-20 for our lake up north. Until then the sap is starting to run in the maples making sweet tasty goodness.
  10. another vote for tractor. We don't launch a tow boat (yet) with ours but we launch the pontoon on a flat sand shore, after driving down the hill, maybe 1/4 mile from shed to lake. Goes back up the hill just fine. Also been called on in the days before 4wd prevalence to help more than a few stuck rigs down at the local access. One memorable night involved a double decker pontoon owned at the time by a certain local aluminum lift and dock company. And it serves yearly duty for a steel frame dock. Best picture I can find of it right now http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg9/yz125x/IMG_3089.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz45/minnewawa/166073_385411298193151_1617371979_n.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz45/minnewawa/964453_10151446096378461_631765297_o.jpg
  11. I didn't understand a word of that, but they sure are pretty
  12. Just one Premium before hand. No rum
  13. of course @ms. I made a deal with some buds that the biggest donation picked what I wore. Good cause so I have no shame.
  14. This past weekend I hit a new personal combined temp low record. Air was 10 degrees with water I suppose around 33. Calm winds and sun peaking out. http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz45/minnewawa/Mobile%20Uploads/983EADF5-44D3-4C88-903F-22F5252306B6.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz45/minnewawa/Mobile%20Uploads/C0F47C64-F542-427D-A882-BDB00B25C238.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz45/minnewawa/Mobile%20Uploads/A074AD11-63FB-4F2F-B4AD-49ECAC2CA7B8.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz45/minnewawa/Mobile%20Uploads/8C60C715-4904-430B-8B87-25FCC91F533F.jpg A group of us did the local Polar Plunge in Rochester, MN. Polar Plunge is a fund raiser for Special Olympics in MN. If you haven't done one and there is one around do it!!!! 75 bucks well worth it, a total blast. And no it wasn't that cold, in fact I have been colder skiing early in the spring with a wetsuit on. MN ballers there are a few more scheduled through March so grab the ski buddies and do it. We went to a local bar that served as a shuttle pickup for the event and had some prejump libations....as did just about every other person who jumped. Talk about a good scene!
  15. Fishing, or playing at the sandbar with the kids. And maybe a beer or two.
  16. @skiray and then invite the ballers down for a duck hunt.
  17. @MS is full of it, we made snowmen at our house 20 minutes from his this past Sunday.
