    92 Supra Comp

In the process of boat shopping. Came across a fairly clean looking Supra Comp. I know next to nothing about them. A search let me know the curved windshield 92s were composite stringers. According to the guy selling it is indeed composite. 412 hours on a 351 Ford according to him. Anyone skied behind this? Not gonna be running balls but I want something that will be enjoyable for skiing on our public lake. I ski around 30-32, wife runs around 24-26. I should be higher but have been lacking ski time. Also wanting something to get the kids going. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/boa/4976922543.html
  3. @6balls that 93 looks damn clean. By my math the guy averaged 20 hours a year in the time he has had it.
  4. Throw back to the old drug add with 2 eggs, this is your brain. This is your brain on wakeboarding.
  5. What do windsurfers wear? I know one of my buds who is big into windsurfing and kiting wears a dry suit for early and late season on Lake Pepin and even on Superior but danged if I know what brand.
  6. I will wear a dry suit for however long. I won't wear one past Memorial Day and don't like the idea of a wetsuit past then. Of course one year with ice out on May 12 or 13 that was a tough pill to swallow. Being as I am on a public lake in northern MNit takes awhile for the water to get warm
  7. Put my wife on a P6 and she loves it. But I think she would love a Freeride as well.
  8. @Horton how much do you need? Care if it has a yellow tint? I will pay for shipping. I'm looking out the window at 2600 acres of ice.
  9. Another vote for the X-vest. Took some getting used to even coming from CGA vests but I like that padding. I'm pretty good at slamming into the wakes. Or any spot really.
  10. Interesting article. No doubt Docs see dollar bills when ordering higher end tests, not all but some. No doubt patients have been influenced to think a MRI or any other higher end test is the answer to what bothers them. When in truth many issues that are bothersome at the time can be fixed with PT, etc. Oddly I had labreal tear in my hip. Went in order of x-ray, ortho visit, MRI. Then the doc said PT. I did PT with no results. Being that I worked with the surgeon I asked him how often PT actually prevented surgery for my issue. He had had 1 patient out of hundreds or maybe thousands. All that to say that sometimes PT is what is needed, other times it is just the hoops doctors need to jump through for insurance. But from my low end of the medical field view (2 year degree baby) I would tend to think many back issues could be fixed via PT.
  11. Looking more and more rotten outside the window with each day.
  12. I just walked on the lake last night.
  13. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha So glad I'm not down there for the snow!!! Hard to believe 4 years ago this time I was skiing with @MS and the day before I went they were out in just tops.
  14. @MS that is not cool, not cool at all. It hasn't even opened along shore in front of my place.
  15. Perfect week or weekend for ice fishing anywhere so long as you have rubber boots.
  16. Over 3' of ice fishing left 4 hours north @MS this is crap!!!!
  17. Interested to hear reports on that boat @gman
  18. Not sure if it counts officially as I did not ski. But today for the Polar Plunge in Rochester, Southern Canada the air temp was about -20 with windchill and I assume the water was about 33. That equals -145
  19. Yeah @oldjeep they weren't even sure if they were gonna have one at their demo day last year. And I would have had a couple car loads of buds wanting to check it out. Forgot I did spend some time looking at that Falls Flyer. Mainly the Mile Maker gas can sitting in the front. I have a couple of those sitting around waiting to be redone. Really wanted a closer look at how they did the OEM writting on it. I assumed sticker but couldn't lean over the rope enough to tell.
  20. Those look awesome, but if I am being critical I don't like the gopro on the sledder. But I will be shwoing the wife.
  21. @oldjeep I agree. Wife commented on the Bu carpet right away. Kids enjoyed the free hats. Did get a pair of hybrid shorts and the wife got some new gloves from Midwest. Took a bottle of syrup for @MS but he was not working this year. Was disappointing not to see a Carbon Pro, really wanted to drool. I asked one guy and his response was basically they only have 2 that travel around the country and because they are all custom ordered they don't bring any to the show? Didn't ask the home town dealer (Willeys MArine) why they didn't have one, but I will be stopping in and asking if they will have a demo at their demo day this year. Was some nice eye candy walking around promoting something...not sure what and no pics when wife and kids are in tow.
  22. I ski zero. Have tried balls a few times but lack of exposure has prevented a bug bite. Spend my time on the public lake.
  23. And here I thought it was just Horton trying to get me to read the homepage.
  24. @oldjeep I was hoping they would be there as well. Mainly because I have a good family friend working with them and it is always fun to see lake friends in the winter. As for the price on the boat, seesh I can't even imagine. I know I'm at the very low end of the water skier income spectrum but damnnation!
  25. I might cut back consumption of beer, but no never stop. Much like skiing a good beer is something I enjoy. What's next give up sitting in my rocking chair drinking a fine rum and smoking a good cigar while looking out at the lake?
