@Luzz it isn't just the pro photo guys. This past summer with my father-in-law along to take pics, "I think if you can just drive over there another 20 yards the sun will be perfect". I then hop in the water and see him telling my wife to drive "20 yards over"....right into the two sets of rollers hitting each other.

@ToddA my wife is currently dealing with what the first ortho thought might be a slap tear, but nobody read it as 100 percent positive on the MRI. Rotator was all intact and she still had pain after the MRI Arthrogram so not in the shoulder. Tried PT for 1.5 months until they said she should have seen some improvement and sent her back to ortho. Biceps Tendon Sheath injection led to 2 weeks of relief but unfortunatly now that wore off. She is seeing Dr 2 next month (poor timing!!!!) but we are worried she is gonna be told cutting the tendon and reattaching is likely. Moral of the story, don't try wake surfing, and if you do make sure the buddy who is teaching uses a surf rope not his wakeboard rope and handle.

My wife did all the work and found a good bimini top to order for our boat. And then a duck hunting buddy told me he had one sitting in his shop he no longer used and that we could take it. So instead of ordering the new bimini we will take this one and use the cash towards a lift. Sure our boat is blue and the top is green, but I won't care if it makes shade, and double won't care when I no longer have to pull the boat in and out each day. @Nando that looks awesome!!! Would make one of those if I hadn't given some old wood skis to @Mrs_MS neighbors kitty corner on her lake.

Wow my wife just told me this. Guess I need to log on more often. Especially considering the factory is 3 whole miles away. Hopefully Floe is able to address the Knocks against Gecko and people start buying them. I would be kinda surprised if he doesn't, the guy doesn't build and sell crap. Let's see, finally bought our own ski boat so pretty much a phenomenal year. 55 hours worth of great times with the family and friends. It was awesome to finally be the guy saying, nope we don't need any gas it is just nice to pull. Oldest daughter learned to drop a ski, with a scar to prove it isn't easy. Middle daughter went from needing someone in the water to help her get up to being a danged edging fool! Wife continued to get better and learned to drive. I finally got things to click and felt like I skied like I know I should. Got the chance to motor over to a random boat who was struggling to get kids up and offered to pull them. Best of all we got our developmentally imparied/delayed son to ask for a short, slow ride on a tube all alone!!!!!

Good idea on the exhaust and drier sheets. Just put ours to bed for the winter and will need to vacuum it out this weekend and I will be sure to add the sheets and tape.

If you do not mind a drive north try Dead Stock Upholstery in McGrath. My buddy just had his drivers seat for his MC and all of his pontoon seats done by her. He is very pleased. I will be taking my rear seat off the SN to her this winter as well.

I searched SIA and was ready to drive and found one on craigslist literally 10 minutes from a good friends house. He checked it on a Sunday I drove down and bought it that Friday and he hauled it back north for me. Doubt I will ever find the deal I got on craigslist ever again.

OK or hit it is our norm. If I jump in and the wife is driving I say tighten up followed shortly by "^%*&$*($^*(%^ put it in nuetral already!" With friends it is always volunteered by the skier on their first run that they need a moment, code for taking a leak. After reading all these I might mix it up and have some fun this weekend.

Well we had a chance to practice some first aid per say on the swim platform today. Daughter is trying to drop a ski, balancing and putting the back foot down is leading to lots of spills. So she decided to fall and smack her forehead on the ski. Nice little cut over her eye. maybe 1/16' or a tad bigger by 1/8'. Of course water made the blood look worse. We got her on the platform and I grabbed the cheap little kit the wife bought and put in the boat. First thing I notice after wiping the blood away was that there was a damn ziptie on the first aid kit. No knife or scissors, luckily I had a screw driver from adjusting the wifes bindings that never made it back to the house. Kit was actually decent in that it had gauze and some butterflies. Kid is fine after some butterflies and steri-strip. However I will be grabbing some trauma shears at work along with more gauze, a couple rolls of decent tape. Kit actually had an instant cold pack which was a shock. I will also be adding a SAM splint....best thing around with some scissors and tape from my x-ray tech perspective. You can actually bend and form it around the broken part, tape it up and the best part is they can x-ray right through it at the hospital. Side note, not sure how to keep the younger siblings from freaking out. Also it really sucks when you let the kid go first and she manages to get hurt!!!

Luckily our lake doesn't have surfers and I'm told is to shallow for it to work well. But you wouldn't believe the number of times I have threatened to travel under cover of darkness with a hole saw to certain jet ski lifts....and pontoon lifts.

RTP and yes I have hurt the rear leg this summer. I don't even know what cause me to go helicoptering through the air, but for whatever reason my foot stayed in the RTP. After my head corkscrewed in the lower half of my body continued the rotation which the ski followed along with. When the ski entered the water my back knee twisted (I think since I didn't see) and boy did it hurt and click/catch a lot for the next couple weeks. Tried to ski for a week but it hurt to much so I took the next off. All seems fine now, though it does click/catch more than it used to.

@jlittle is a Spokie guy. If you have free time after work make the drive from Republic to Kettle Falls on 20. Beautiful drive and when in Kettle Falls find a little joint called Brown Boys. They serve Hawaiian food and it is worth it!!!

The middle of summer and you guys are talking about who has beards and how they look? I wouldn't even expect this in February let alone July.

And this is why skiing beats, well anything.
