  1. Blubber? No not that. Plenty of strong MN beer and some good whiskey. We will be about 4 hours north of @MS so northern southern canada.
  2. Well part way realizing the dream. I get to move my family back home to the lake I grew up on in northern MN!! No it isn't private but it does pretty well providing water time of various sorts. We are pretty stoked even though making the move now mean we will be showing up on friends docks with jerry cans for a few more years instead of having our own tug.
  3. no offense @MattP but "If you are buying a best based on price -How much is your life worth to you...?" you shouldn't even be looking at a comp vest IMO.
  4. Never heard of it. Sucky deal for sure but in all honesty it is doubtful I will ever give it a second though unless I hear of it again. Kind of like people who spend time fretting over ticks or catching something from a dead animal while hunting. Nothing wrong with that at all, just things I don't spend time thinking about.
  5. I know we have a local show team in rochester, southern canada. Buds daughter does swivel stuff up in the cities but I'm not sure what group, Shakopee maybe.
  6. I don't ski tournaments and I don't chase balls (yet) but I have and will let buds give skis a try. Not new people and never again my brother if he ever decides to ski again. First ski we shared...he'd wipeout in a shallow area. As we motor up "hey are you standing", he always answered yes, and you could never see the ski. Yep he'd just stand there with the ski on rocks or whatever.
  7. If only they could make a law about people driving random patterns while everyone in the boat including the driver stares back at the tuber. Or jet skis flying in front of boats and all over.
  8. @thager and @OTF that is not cool, not cool at all.
  9. Is that calm water? Been blown out all but 2 days this entire week in northern canuckistan. Skied all of 2 times. I greatly dislike this post.

Just got a Radar X as I'm a CGA fan. Thought I would not like the bulk of it, but once in the water and up I can't say as I've noticed it. Hopefully I don't have to test the claimed impact protection.
  12. I still think that area needs to be corn and allowed to stand most of the fall so that @Razorskier1 can have goose hunting guests. Feel bad for all you metro and southern MN guys with the high water. Luckily we can still run up north 2 hours from the metro or 4 from @MS. But we did our time 3 years ago with no wake for much of June and July.
  13. Always keep mouth shut while changing diapers...even with a girl. Trust me. And you'd be surprised how far they can crap from the middle of a room at 2 am...and at how quickly your wife might throw a towel over any that hit the bed and go back to sleep.
  14. I like to mix asprin and NSAIDs but I don't often need them. Thing with NSAIDs is that you dont' get instant relieve like asprin, your body needs to build up a supply per say of the NSAIDs before you get benefits. I miss the days where anything from a cold/flu to soreness could be treated with a cold beer, hot shower and a handful of pills or shot of Nyquil. Not that it doesn't still work, but I can't recover from that fix like I used to.
  15. Thinking the wife might end up with those. We tried on every glove we could find for her and her freakishly long dainty fingers. Nothing fit right with finger tips, but she liked the ergos....she didn't like the idea of cutting new gloves but I think I won her over on that.
  16. Congrats! I can't believe nobody has encouraged you or told you just how important it is that you start now and master the roll over and mumble/moan like you are asleep and don't hear the crying at 3 am, knowing full well that you heard it and woke up before the wife. Trust me on that, it is vital skill to learn. Probably something like 38 off, but the aforementioned is a skill I can actually teach from experience.
  17. That sounds like a tournament that my sucky free skiing self would stay in town for vs heading north to the lake.
  18. I have no plan other than fun. But I do try and concentrate on one thing to work on. Usually doesn't work but this past weekend it did and was amazing.
  19. What I have found in common between the two. Rarely do I get it right. And when I do I don't know if I should be excited or scared!
  20. @wtrskior currently I have the extra attached at the 15 off sleeve but just hanging from the pylon. I read correct I should move it to the handle end and add it in.
  21. Bump I ordered the Radar rope awhile ago. Great deal. Being a bit of a "wally" type I am still confused by the extra switch section of rope. I've just hooked the rope to the pylon at the length indicators, should I be moving it down to handle end? Missed the boat on the X-vest the first go round but stumbled across the deal again at www.wakehouse.com 50 bucks and it is sitting at home right now waiting for me to get off work.
  22. I skied with @OTF yesterday and picked up some pointers...and managed not to eat crap which I usually do once or twice each time out. Was it his pointers or was it pure dumb luck, I won't know until next time.
  23. I'm gonna go have a couple slices of pizza and a few beers, then I will sit down and read all this advice!
