  1. Maybe the number of high end units sold is a little over estimated. Maybe old molds are used, and new superficial farkles are added.
  2. Uh ya, there is a fare amount of old money, new money, a combo, & creative trusts out there. Supply & demand, or it wouldn't exist.
  3. Great skills and passion on the aluminum boat. I wonder how a smaller, lighter, more slalom specific hull would work with the 4.3, or even the 3.0 engine.
  4. Last july I skied on our lakes raising ski course, and the support boat had too low of a swim step, and lame soap. I forced my rear foot into my Wiley's binding and broke a couple small bone chips off. i had them taken out by a foot specialist, was out for about 2 months, and I am good to go again. Learned my lesson. Don't rely on anybody else, take care of yourself, and bring your own dawn soap in your ski bag.
  5. I also think Horton is on her face book thing. She has fun B. S. ing.
  6. My wife loves to water and snow ski, and loves the social aspect also.

How is this for out of the box. A light weight cat piercing hull with almost no wake. Might not go round the islands very well though.
  8. Try looking at the Dina ski. Looks like a great multi purpose boat, with a great slalom wake.
  9. I agree what david said about the 2012-13 triumph vs the 2011 & older. There is a noticeable difference.
  10. Is drinking beer ok if you are trying to keep your body in good condition? Serious question.
  11. I enjoyed watching the 1978 super stars swimming comp. I thought grimditch was going to catch up to stones in the 100 free. 59 seconds in the 100 free is actually quite a good time for these top two finishers.
  12. I had a Farrah faucet and a bob lapoint poster in my frat room in 1975. He was sporting quite the beard.
  13. More like slippery sloped, than expanded.
  14. Condemnation, historically for things like roads, infrastructures, airports, and more recently expanded to things like shopping malls, city centers, etc.
  15. I just wonder if there is any behind the scenes threat of eminent domaine. Just a thought.
  16. Horton, sorry if I sounded inappropriate. I was just trying to be a little funny. My above post has been bothering me a little.
  17. Great skiing Horton, looks like that new camaro suit is pretty high tech. I'm making do with my old baggy so far this winter.
  18. Ouch, my head is hurting. Horton, I think you should invest a bunch of money in this fin stuff. I think it could be pretty lucrative. Maybe I'll go in with you.
  19. Jeff, I got on their web site, and all I could find was wet suits, not dry suits. Is the suit your talking about a wet, or dry suit? Even if it's a wet suit, it's great that you like it. I wonder if it would equal the warmth performance of a dry suit in colder water? Can you please tell us the specific model that you are talking about? Thanks.
  20. Great inspirational story, Brady. The older I get, the more I tell myself to never stop, and the more you do something, the easier it gets.
  21. I drug a rear foot from about age 11, until past age 50. ( I did some beach starts at our cabin as a kid). Sometimes I get set in my ways, so I just thought that I would always get up, dragging my rear foot, and using a r.t.p. A few years ago the mrs. And I went to ski paradise, and I was getting up so many times that my front leg started to strain and get sore. One of the guest coaches put on a rear full rear binding on my ski and told me to try that. I was kind of nervous, but I got up on my second try, and discovered that it's no big deal. So, I think there are pluses and minuses to each way. Dragging pluses: you can ball up and compress even more, the resistance is less, and your rear foot acts as a stable rudder. Dragging minuses: your front leg is taking all the force, and may get strained, you can't experiment with a full rear binding. Both feet in pluses: you can spread the leg forces to about 70/30 or so, you can see if you like a full rear binding. Both feet in minuses: you can't compress quite as much, you have to stay down a little longer, and be a little more patient. I like both full bindings now.
  22. Ok, I know that for me, a good out, up & in is everything, in making a successful full pass, but I have seen very good skiers use different styles. (Like every other sport). Some skiers pull out later, shallower & quicker and carry great speed though ball 1, and other skiers make a longer, more progressive, wider out, and still carrie good speed around 1. I get in the habit of pulling out too early, and then tell myself to try later next time. It kind of is a problem for me.
  23. I am 6'3", 190 (down from 225), and because of my beginner course running at slower speeds I only considered the 67.5. I ski with 3 people with s2's. brian, 6'0, 185, beginner course, 67.5. Mark, 6'0' 185' expert, 67.5 ( he liked the 66.5 a little better, but is my age, and has a bad back, and decided to go with the 67.5). Kevin, 6'1", 195, beginner, 67.5. But buski, you are lighter, younger, and you already have a 66.5, and will undoubtedly improve on it.
  24. I second what Brady said. Make sure that you get the 2012/2013 triumph. It is as easy as the bigger shaped skis to get up on, and has a tremendous performance range. When you deep water start, try this. Tell the boat driver that you want a medium-soft, progressive get up. Relax every muscle in your body except your hand muscles. When the boat starts the pull, ball up and let the boat bring your knees up to your chest. Breath out, half way close your eyes, and let the boat pull you forward a little. Gradually put a little more pressure on your foreword foot. It's almost an exercise in relaxation.
