  1. gently and slowly drag a grapple hook back and forth?
  2. That's genius multi use trailer right there.........just need the jet ski a little lower and the bike a little higher.........and beer, lots of beer.
  3. Masterline, their thickest one is 1.180 i think
  4. It isn't always possible due to wind and number of people but we always found it was way easier to keep it straight as we launch it rather than straighten it at the end, shallow water and weeds can make it tough too. And we also used a tether for the second anchor, hold it off the bottom and steady throttle for final straightening.
  5. That's kind of what i was wondering, 2 guys in the same rear corner loading gear or whatever.
  6. @Cnewbert go find yourself a promo, it's a ridiculous value compared to new, all those annoying decisions about colors and options are already done! I picked up a pretty loaded 2018 last fall and the dealer was able to take my old boat on trade.
  7. I feel like the boredom level may be getting a little out of hand
  8. True but if your boat is sitting on those lifting chines the entire back half of the boat is sitting on probably a couple square inches.
  9. Any chance you're sucking air between the intake clamshell and the pump? Once saw that issue cause overheating problems at load but fine at idle, turned out to be a cracked seaweed separator, if any of those parts are clear plastic you'll be able to see air.
  10. Most boats have an audible alarm, oil pressure, temp and sometimes trans temp will set it off, not sure if it will go into some kind of limp mode.
  11. If you run the bunks narrow enough to miss those lifting steps in the rear the front of the right side bunk will hit the water intake, which protrudes an is plastic.
  12. Narrow will bring problems towards the bow with the clamshell.
  13. There are few sensors on that motor that will drive it extremely rich or lean, the tps obviously the most critical, I would also bet there is a map sensor, possibly mounted remotely with a vacuum line to it, they can be tested with a dvom or a scope or just swapped out, it is pretty much an early 90's chevy truck motor. A scan tool that shows live data can be really useful too if available.
  14. Is there a MAP sensor on that motor?
  15. I owned a tantrum for a number of years, it was the really budget version of the sportster, skied really well, tracked fair but a bigger skier could pull it around a bit. I always liked the wake, definitely small interior, the only really major downside I recall is it's really not suited for bigger rougher water, it pounds through waves and was prone to stuffing the bow.
  16. Take the spark arrestor off an take a long look at the feed line, most GM's of that era had one, possible that this particular marine version doesn't. You'll need a bigger fuel pressure kit if not,
  17. Once upon a time my mother-in-law did a family trip, Dominican Republic.........in july. I highly recommend an alaskan cruise.
  18. There are 2 plastic pockets on the underside of the cover that the poles fit in?
  19. The starter may or may not be bad but I don't think that would explain the rest of the system being dead,
  20. Yeah, my earlier advise is counting on a good battery, put a meter right at the battery and turn something on, really needs to hold 12.5 volts.
  21. This sounds like a really big voltage drop problem, main ground on the engine block loose or dirty? the big cable connectors to the battery shut off switch loose or dirty? Google voltage drop test with a dvom and work your way through the whole system, has to be pretty bad if it won't really blow the horn.
  22. I don't use any poles, I built a fugly looking pvc rig that slides over the pylon, has a t joint that runs an extension to the rear of the motor box, 2 poles in one and won't ever fall over.
