Welcome to New England, home of the shortest summer in the world (ok, slight exaggeration, but any way). Between bare skin and wet suit weather there seems to be a thermal swim shirt weather. What are you guys using?

O'Neill Hyperfreak heater top. It's great. However, I'll probably have to break out the drysuit soon. I get cold easily. 140 pounds + 48 pulse + no hair = cold.

yeah, crazy weather for August here in New England. Over the last couple weeks in N.H., I've worn my Camaro 1mm shorty just about every time out.

Happened to be in Maine on Saturday night. Temp was in the 40s.

 

Even here in "southern" New England, we're looking at overnight in the 50s every day this week. Ridiculous for August.

 

But I guess I'll take this over more rain. I can always bust out my drysuit, but I have no means to beat down backwash.

Shorts and a vest in lower elevations here in SoCal for another month or so, but I want to pick up a UV blocking long-sleeve rash guard this week to use for the rest of the season.

 

I don't much care for skin cancer.

We're in the 50's here most nights. Short suit is fine for the 7AM runs and just the jacket for afternoons. It's not cold until you get some light snow during a run ;)

Still nice temps around here.... but I have an Oneil 1mm thick long sleeved heater shirt that is awesome. I used it this spring a couple times, and will most certainly use it when the temps get a bit colder toward the beginning of September.

Was just in central VT for vacation last week. Didn't bring any sort of wetsuit or heater, and let's just say getting in the water was REFRESHING!

Broho water temp has finally gotten to the mid 70's, I heard it described as "bathtub" this weekend !

@than_bogan, I actually broke out my heater top this morning. There was sun, but absolutely no humidity, so it felt even colder.

O'neill 1mm thick long sleeved heater shirt works through the summer months to cut the early morning chill on Lake Washington. Lake is 75 degrees, but nice to have a little extra in the early morning cool temperatures.

I got chilled to the bone during my first set on Sunday. Had to put the 4/3 wetsuit on for my second set. It sure was nice feeling warm!

I use my old wetsuit until Memorial Day in north central MN. Ditch that for the .5mm neo top. Wear that most all summer just out of habit I guess. But it sure helps on the morning and sunset trips.

60 degree air temps here at 7am in Atlantic Canada ... wearing a O'neill Revenge vest and Oneill boardies ... will not put shorty suit on until 40 range.

This iis NW Ohio and Mid-August? Can't tell you how many ski days we missed with rain, high winds, or both. Cold we can deal with.

Got down to 50 last night in central Illinois. I'd welcome the hot 85F - 90F degree weather any day now. If I really want to get picky - make sure the water temp doesn't get above 80F!
