Baller DanE Posted July 18, 2015 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2015 @ToddL Yea but there is a lot more labour/material in a wake barge. And I seriously doubt wake sports are gonna stay "cool" forever.
Baller Texas6 Posted July 18, 2015 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2015 I agree that wake sports will change; and we've watched wake boarding lose ground to surfing. But towable Water sports have been cool for decades and always will be. As it continues to evolve, my curiosity is...what's the next boat towed water sport? I'll still be running buoys when that day comes, but I am curious
Baller Waternut Posted July 18, 2015 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2015 I'm sure the next big sport will be competition tubing. Either tube racing or tube tricking... That way the 2 doctors who married each other and can actually afford those new boats will have something for their kids to do when they blow out their knees in 2 years behind that monster. One small step for man....one gigantic fall for mankind.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted July 19, 2015 Supporting Member Share Posted July 19, 2015 I'm thinking Tube Flinging. Sorta like the Hammer Throw except the boat is the thrower and the rider is the hammer. Longest throw wins.
boarditup
All that money and the oil filter is still on the bottom of the motor where you are sure to spill used engine oil into your bilge? Come on PCM, Mercury puts remote oil filters on top for easy and clean maintenance.
Baller_ The_MS Posted July 21, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted July 21, 2015 The oil filter on our 5.7 PCM is right on top with super easy access.
Nick Sullivan
All PCM engines that I have had come with a remote oil filter. Super easy.

Cayman2
In my local ski store, buying some gloves talking to owner/ buddy. Guy walks in, says "where's your fastest tube, I'm an excellent tuber and I need the fastest you got". Buddy gives me the stink eye, so I stay shut the hell up. After long discussion on speed characteristics of various tubes, Guy buys $120 tube and custom tube rope. Guy leaves, buddy says shut up whadya think I just made on that tube? Cayman2
Well, it was hard to keep my mouth shut. I could just tell the guys PB was a bs practice score, and he couldn't back it up in a real tubing tourney.
Baller B_S Posted July 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted July 27, 2015 Cayman2, I'm sure he meant fastest tube as perceived fast, right? How does Horton put it when talking about "fast" tubes, er skis? When you're an expert, short line tuber, you gotta make sure you get a tube that holds angle well!
