  1. Stupid. Hope everyone is ok though. Alcohol & boating never go well together.
  2. Same here - about every 50/60 hours, usually in the fall, no off-season here in FL. ;)
  3. Yeah stupid stupid feather frames. Front bot will fit, rear won’t. I wish Radar would offer all their boots with aluminum plate. @brooks ;) Talked to Bill @ Performance the other day because I wanted to upgrade my old worn out HRT with a boa one. Big nope - only available in f...n feather frame with the unique radar bolt pattern. What a disappointment.
  4. Speaking of US Open - what happened to the US Open of Waterskiing? Had been there a few years back in Orlando, was a pretty spectacular event, but was discontinued (again) I think? Why?
  5. Invest in some coaching! Best $$$ spent to progress and keep it fun.
  6. Same scenario here. (Reflex Size 8 boot.) The front holes are basically useless on the reflex plate. I can use the 2nd set of holes with different screws (slightly smaller heads) though.
  7. Go for the 525! I’m running that exact prop on my 2010 Response CB with a 1:1 transmission and the 330hp LCR engine @ about 220ft elevation and it’s a perfect fit! (Went from the oem 515 to the 525 a few years back, still have the 515 as a spare. RPMs went up about 120. And even with the 525 I’m still not redlining @ wot.) There will be no difference in the wake between these 2 props, however, the 525 will give you a better holeshot and better speed holding capabilities while towing a skier through the course. FYI ACME 515, 13x12, 0.8 pitch ACME 525, 13x11.5, 0.8 pitch
  8. My guess is - active skiing / Tom Asher
  9. Congrats on the new ride! Saw your postings over @ the Ram-Forum, good site to be on btw. Interior looks especially nice! Makes me wish my 1500 came with leather. :/
  10. @Wish Hit me up when you are @Travers for the tournament, I can quickly drive by and bring you some of the stuff. Bought 2 quarts and still have enough left!
  11. Soy based mastic remover! Worked wonders when I re-did my swimstep with Seadek. When I removed the old pad, there was a ton of adhesive still on the platform! Got it clean within 15 minutes using that stuff!
  12. That’s the nice thing about Florida - there is no such thing like off-season. ;)
  13. Replace the Silvretta? I wouldn’t count on that thing functioning proper anymore, even if you are able to free the set screw up. That would be too much of a gamble for me.
  14. Yeah, I wish Radar would offer it’s aluminum plate HRT in different sizes, not just only the “one size fits most”! It’s a great boot and I absolutely love it, but it’s a bit too large for my foot. I know the feather frame HRT is available in various sizes, but they only fit Radar brand skis which is very odd.
  15. The end of an era. It’s somehow sad, but personally, I stopped reading the WSM a good while ago. Probably around the time Todd left. Had a subscription for over 10 Years and didn’t renew it about a year ago or so. Content became less and less interesting. Too much ads and I never understand why tubing, kneeboarding and even wakeboarding obviously became of interest for the WSM editors.
  16. Yup, I can highly recommend Drew, if you are looking in the central Florida area! He was of exceptional help, finding us our new paradise and guiding us through the whole process of buying a property down here a few years back. Can’t thank him enough for all he’d done and all he went through with us as foreign buyers. I really can’t say enough good things about him. Thanks again Drew, you couldn’t have found us a better place to live and we absolutely love our new home!
  17. +1 On my iPad (on both, desktop & mobile version)
  18. You could try aluminum anodes as well, but usually magnesium works best. Maybe try mounting bigger ones (more surface/sacrifice area) or more than one anode per cylinder.
  19. Magnesium unless you are in brackish / salt water
  20. I like the term “over steering”, but I consider myself pretty technical inclined, so I fully understand what Horton is describing.
  21. There’s always a risk even if you use PayPal as a seller. The buyer can “open up a case” with PayPal any time (up to 5 Months or so) after receiving the item, requesting his money back through them. Then it’s on you to proof that the item was delivered (and not only a box containing a 2x4) and in a condition you both agreed on. Take and keep lots of pictures of the article and even of the process of it being packed and the finished (and undamaged) box to be prepared for a potential case with PayPal. As stated above - talking to the buyer helps you get an impression, but is no guarantee that everything wents smooth. I prefer to sell locally, but unfortunately that limits your target group aka potential buyers.
