  1. Have one too. Makes ZERO difference. But I agree, it looks cool. :D
  2. If you use newer iPhones, the video will shudder due to the built in electronic image stabilization of the phone’s camera. The electronic image stabilization tries to compensate / correct the slight, but ever present engine vibration, which results in a wavy video. I had this issue with my iPhone 6 and contacted Mads (owner, inventor, and maker of Ski Doc). He advised me to use a different (simpler) camera / older iPhone or to use the display/selfie side of the phone. That camera is obviously not as sophisticated as the phone’s primary camera. I had a retired iPhone 5c lying around and now use that without any issues. The videos can be easily transferred between the devices using Apple’s built in Airdrop function.
  3. Picked up my Evo2 the other day from @Thomasasher . Coming from a Eagle in size L, Tom suggested size M. Thanks Tom, a perfect fit, love it!!! As well as the Stokes gloves. ;)
  4. Did you try the Stokes gloves? They are similar to the pro gear ones (material), but overall longer (they sit higher on the wrists). So far my favorite glove out there!

  7. Hands down - Sunset Lakes Jack Travers in Groveland. About 50 minutes from downtown Orlando, but totally worth the drive. (Or stay on site!)
  8. Weird! When clicking on the link above, I get “video unavailable” when pasting the url in my browser it works though. Try copy and paste that one (delete the spaces I had to put in to prevent it from being a direct link)... h ttp s://youtu.be/vt5N5wUrg3k *edit* You could also open YouTube and search for “CA ProAm Saterday” [sIC] But video is not playing - again - right now anyways. :s
  9. I remember having skied the Nautique 206 around 2007/2008 at the Swiss Ski School in Clermont. Funny enough, it even was equipped with a Tower! Back then, I was just starting to ski the course at 30mph. The wake was similar to the 196 that they had running on the other lake, just a little steeper, but not bad at all! It is pretty nose high, so even with the open bow you should be fine on a crowded river!
  10. I was using a Response closed bow for nearly 10 years in the exact same conditions you described. Commercial barges, yachts, river cruises, Surf- & Wake-barges, you name it - we had it. With a bit of practice and a lot of foresight you will be fine. Of course we took the occasional wake over the bow, but mainly because of not paying enough attention on traffic. Nonetheless I was always happy to have the closed bow.
  11. Looks like a roller. That must have hurt! :#
  12. Even though I have a hard time disagreeing with Dave - the above Masterline handle was used for 3 seasons exclusively with a d3 and a kd ski. Masterline got me covered and re-stringed it for a very reasonable price. Needless to say, I went with the full carbon-handle protection while we were at it.
  13. Use the same screws in the back as you used in the front. Get rid of the horseshoe aluminum piece.
  14. Now this is a total different story: https://houston.craigslist.org/boa/d/malibu-sunsetter-lxi-98/6688635162.html I know it’s not CAD, but that boat looks well maintained and the price is right!
  15. That’s terrible! And after just ordering a set from Wally last night myself, I can imagine how that hurts your ski club. And I can’t believe that no one spotted the removal of 12 buoys on your course! That must have taken quite some time and there are a bunch of houses on the north shore as well as on the west side of the lake. Did you or one of your club members approach these neighbors to ask if anyone might have seen something? I highly doubt that some fellow course skier would even consider stealing buoys! Therefore I don’t think that your buoys will show up on someone else’s slalom course. Did you check local ads like FB Marketplace or Craigslist after the theft?
  16. More importantly - it comes on the aluminum plate! Can’t wait for my hrt to wear out and updating to the boa version!
  17. I have guests coming next month and need to assemble a slalom ski for them. I have an older 67” D3 Z7 that would be perfect, but need some bindings for it. Has anyone a std size Radar Vector front boot in decent shape? Preferably for the aluminum plate. (Just need the boot, as I have a couple plates laying around.) And maybe an adjustable RTP (HO hole pattern). Thanks in advance! David
  18. Yes, Reto bought half the molds that Fischer used for their production.
  19. http://www.proskicoach.com/skis/Fisher/01/2007 Sorry for the long link!
  20. If you are willing to travel all the way to Clermont, shoot me a message.
