  1. I did notice that when I click on a particular score, it would open up a new window but lock it up. I would have to shut it down and bring it back up. I have an iphone 3gs. Thanks for the app!
  2. Incredible skiing by open mens, wow. Or so I read because I COULDN'T SEE IT!
  3. What a huge bummer, I was really looking forward to watching this webcast at it continues to rain outside. Dammit!!!
  4. EF, all the skis whether a regular, mid or wide will have enough surface to support your weight. The difference in shape has more to do with the way they perform than to accomodate weight. The suface area of the ski doesn't really change that much with the mid and wide because they will be shorter than the regular ski. I would think a mid or wide would be better for you than a regular. I ski with a guy that is 200 and is on a wide. He came off a Nomad and his skiing improved dramatically on the wide. I do not think you are too heavy for a mid. Remember Goode has a money back guarantee, so if you don't like it you can return or replace it. Thats the good news, the bad is that they cost a fortune.
  5. Anyone know if the webcast will be working tomorrow?
  6. Hey Than, I am 5'10", 170 with a tournament average of 103. I am trying not to get too excited about this ski until I ski on it more. But that first set was amazing, I basically ski'd the best I have all year, off the dock. On the first %*(& time on the ski. I was pretty apprehensive about the Nano because there have been some mixed reviews from the folks on this forum. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will continue to impress. As far as the mid vs regular, everyone I talked to loved the mid and felt it was better than the regular. I can concur with this. Maybe 36 mph would be a different story but I would try a mid if I were you. As I said, it is faster and requires much less effort to get accross the wake. I am really amazed how it rolls on edge. I have never even noticed this about any ski until this one.
  7. Ok, Thanks Matt, glad its not just my computer. Hopefully they will get it going soon.
  8. I can't get the live webcast going for the Masters, anyone else having this problem?
  9. First of all, they sent me a 188 flex which I thought was odd for my weight of 170 but I did leave that decision up to Dave when I ordered it because I wasn't sure. I set boots at 28.75 and 17.38 Fin was .715, 2.440 and 6.815. No ventral. Wing at 8. I did notice the Nano wing is smaller than my 9900 wing. Compared to my 9900 sl, the Nano rolls on edge by its self, turn smooth yet hard and is extremely fast. As previously said, the off side turn really good. I didn't have problems turning the on side at all.
  10. I am 170 and got the 65 mid, after talking to Dave Miller and Dave Good. I skied on it tonight for the first time, coming off a regular 9900 sl. The mid Nano skis really really really good. I would go 65 mid ride, with the 178 flex. Dave Miller gave me some fin settings which seemed to work well, which I can pass on to you as well. Either way, go with the mid over the regular. More stable, faster and turns better. If you are still unsure, call Dave Goode.
  11. The reason this sport is so addicting is because its not easy (like wakeboarding) but you will improve with practice. Practicing the right things is a big part of the equation, but you will have to put in time on the water like all of us. But with practice comes improvement and you just need to keep at it. Take it seriously, get on the water as much as you can, and you will be chopping the line before you know it.
  12. Ed, did you try the triple small ventrals like Mark or did you have the large ventrals?
  13. How did Chad have his Nano set up ventral wise?
  14. I would have to say hips and handle control. The connection, they go together. It seems like it takes years to get new skiers to get their hips up and commit to that position, and keep the pull coming from the hips, not shoulders. It's easier said than done of course but this is the first thing that needs to happen to ski well. Video tape yourself and the problems should be obvious, especially in slow motion. Oh, some of the best advice from a pro came from Kris LaPoint who told me to stand tall (got my hips up) easy concept. #2 thing - counter rotate (makes the ski turn).
  15. I am a bit mixed on the ventral. I took it off today after struggling for a few sets. It really freed up the ski and kept the speed thru the turns and finish. Skied a little better with it off, but we will see after some more sets.
  16. Gas powered blender!!! Sweet! Everyone looks REALLY happy.
  17. Dave, you are exact same as me. U do a 178 or 188 on the 65?
  18. I missed it, how much for the cables? Thanks
  19. clemsondave, what are your thoughts on the ski? I ordered one as well, should be here in a couple weeks.
  20. Excellent post Ed, sounds like you have it figured out and I couldn't agree with you more. I just wish someone would have told me that 10 years ago.
  21. Russell, that was bitchen. Was that sunshine in one clip?
  22. Our lake was built in 2007. The soils is almost all clay. We are now starting to see the shore shelf in areas, causing backwash until the water fluctuates. The shores were 12 to 1, when the lake was new. Now its more like 4 to 1 on the top and 15 to 1 lower. So when the water drops its perfect. I am looking for the best type of rock to suite our needs. I dont' want to put anything on there that is going to wash away. I need something to stay in place and stop the erosion. Thanks!
