  1. i like the wakes the way they are now
  2. closest for me was i had an RCX and an Xterra, not even close. the A3 wins it.
  3. mach 1, phantom, strata, t-1?
  4. Okay, who has a ski model and drives the same model car? Example: D3 Fusion/Ford Fusion, BMW X5/D3 X5, HO A2/Audi A2 and so on. I think there is a car called a V-Type? My last attempt at worst-thread-ever actually went pretty well, so here's another.
  5. For example; what would 1@43 36mph be equal to in baseball? A perfect game? 3 Home runs by same player in one game? Those would be my guesses, but someone must have the statistical ability to calculate what it would really equal. Taking into account length of time the sport has existed, the amount of players and compare to pro slalom. My off the cuff guesses would be for 1@43 36mph is equal too Baseball: a perfect game, maybe 3 or 4 homeruns in one game by 1 guy Football: would have to be some crazy yardage statistic The sad news is: this is not my worst idea for a post. The good news is: I am trying to see if I can be banned without using a swearword.
  6. "Quick release" rubber bindings mentioned, that's clutch.
  7. Actually I like the rope idea
  8. Mentally focusing at the exit of the wakes seems to be helping for now. I hate to think my ski does what I want just by thinking about it but it feels like it.
  9. @SkiJay‌, what if I only went directly to ski with plate (no Floaties) in rear? But kept them up front.
  10. Just tried some of this, inside shoulder up caused the ski to shut down a lot sooner than even on my best 1ball very cool.
  11. Yes, those shoulder moves and resistance to overloading sound like something up my alley for certain. I see some skiers looking like they get on the tail of the ski for a split second off the wake when they change edges then sink right in to a smooth approach I assume this is s byproduct of a proper lean thru the wakes
  12. I'm on a 66.5 A2 with sequence and beat up RS-1s. I had tip issues early in season so I tried removing spacers but then couldn't turn, put spacers back in, put a little space between boots and moved them back and I was golden Only other factors are I'm about 5 pounds heavier than normal and when I did this our water was super warm which always gives me trouble
  13. Horton talks about and demonstrates getting wide with perfect carry out and handle control off second wake. I can come out of 1 ball perfect but think I am submitting too much energy before I get to 2ball. When I "think" about direction maintenance it is better, and I feel like there is a sort of core move that makes it happen but can't put my finger on it. I can create ridiculous space but don't think I'm using it wisely. If there is a move here, I would love to hear alternate descriptions or "tricks" to achieve it. For now, I am concentrating on outbound off wake and keeping two hands on the handle for as long as possible. Running 28 over and over. Not going to 32 much just working on 28 being easier and easier.
  14. I use a sport tube ...completely covered in "fragile" and "handle with care" stickers. FYI
  15. Like Bruce lee said: be like water
  16. I can run 32 off/34 on a half good day, but the other day before I started my set, I thought about the first time I got up on one ski. When I got up-it was just as exciting. Then I ran 32. Easily.
  17. Like someone once said: it IS rocket science
  18. It's all the beauty of being on the water outside paired with technical wizrdry
  19. From novice to pro, slalom is a thrill a second
  20. i do this alot, if you go back out to drag for it try these two things, 1. make your line to the grappler very long and let it out so you know its on the bottom and wont lift up or miss anything, 2. (and this can be difficult) try and drop the grappler as close to where you think the mainline is as you can. find it, and it is super easy to fix, you can get replacement parts from ez-slalom, or make your own.

    I suck!

I went thru this recently, except a little earlier in summer, as water gets soupy warm I struggle. I was faced with 2 choices; 1. go ski and have fun. 2. objectively look at my practice skiing like a very difficult logic puzzle and not stop until it is solved. ...I did both. Learned alot and skiing noticeably better as a result. huge focus on gates-not for timing and space but for speed management, huge focus on maintaining outbound path off second wake, countering, blah blah blah
  22. What helps me with same issue is to achieve a strong stacked position before I even pull out for gate, the stronger I start-the stronger I stay.
  23. I use med vice, love/hate (but I think that's my way right now with all skiing) I took dowel out and cut off excess fabric, nothing but a strap and a "bead" of fabric where dowel was. Ups: no blisters, hang on to death-defying-pass-saving wake crossings, comfy Downs: they take getting used to (6 sets can sometimes be a week in New England), my left hand sticks to the handle sometimes at 6ball, may be due to modification so not recommended to do that. Broke a strap the other night , had a spare.
