  1. Number wise I think bumping fin forward is the thing to do
  2. I think john explains very clearly in his reviews what technique will match what characteristic of that ski. If you can't execute the specific technique, that ski will suck for you. I have actually been currently rereading his A2 review in order to maximize the potential in my ski (A2) I wouldn't read one his reviews and buy a ski, I would buy a ski then read the review, like a manual almost really.
  3. What would cause a slight kick forward on a toe side pull/lean? (RFF going to 2/4/6) Or, what would resolve it? Feels like ski is trying to break me at waist thru second wake. Only reason I ask is I tried another ski and when I was expecting that tick it wasn't there. I feel like it's a fin move but not a master of settings by any source. 28/34 160lb 66.5 A2 29.25 6.845 2.499 .770 7 Will get video if needed, but tried a 67 quest and felt more stable at that point. Hoping a tweak to my A2 or myself can help that. I can't buy another ski... yet.
  4. I totally forgot 1 pro, with 1 pair of Masterline liners I am blister free and that's big for me.
  5. cons first (and this is only my take)- once one is on, its hard to manuever the other glove well so they take extra time to put on which can annoy your friends, also can hinder manuevering your bindings depending on mechanics or type of binding, i had one brand that would get caught on the handle, only at the six ball for some reason-super annoying. sizing is kind of critical pros- you can relax your grip quite nicely which for me equals less fatigue overall, i hate to think where i wouldve been in the course if the handle didnt pop out of my grip-that is basically over-if its more load than i can manage i can let go, if its up my alley im making the next ball unless the rope snaps. the new pro locks i got whch i mentioned in another post are out-of-the-box-no-hang-ups-comfy-for-days-awesome.
  6. Or ski and then you can say "yup, I mowed the glass"
  7. Didn't realize how much trouble my old gloves were til I got a pair of pro locks, freakin hanging on to monster leans, no blisters, and staying connected. Out of the box awesome.
  8. I have one of those 02 with 5.0 it's great, I love it. It is a smaller engine yes. I ski it a lot, and have pulled thru 38 at 36 easily. It tops out at 40 mph with 1 passenger. Great price, super affordable (for me) boat.
  9. Yes, They come with single plates that are front and rear, boots are identical I slapped mine onto my old sequence plate, they are awesome
  10. @east tx skier that's right, I forgot about that with like the first or second version of sg. That was awful, it interpreted a turning boat as slowing down and would jack the rpms.
  11. How new is this system? How long have you had it? I ask because I found a lot of pre work with mine before I got it dialed. I.E. "Inverting the tachometer" or manually setting baselines and adjusting baselines. I found capture mode to not help as much as timing ALL slalom speeds in course. There were small background setting adjustments too, but the prior issues were the big nuts.
  12. If those are tight I would guess size 10 vapors would be tighter. I'm not 100% sure but I think if I had a 10.5 foot I'd have trouble.
  13. They are tight but packing out, what your asking may be right cuz I wear a 9.5/10 shoe and I have size 10 vapors. They are tight but feel good, at this point I'm not even pulling them tight, well I started to yesterday but hardly at all.
  14. I got 15s they are sweet out of the box
  15. My visits to your dads lake, that area and my rides with him will forever be etched in my mind as some of the greatest on the water experiences evah! Happy birthday!!
  16. I use a safety work belt that you get at Home Depot in the safety section, I cut the shoulder straps off
  17. Boat, then gloves, after my ski I don't think I/we could do much without either
  18. @horton good point, I don't like how much I know about this.
  19. They live in the foam, it is heinous, if you ever see little piles of foam particles in your engine compartment or elsewhere the film has started.
  20. Ugh, I saw that movie a couple years ago, it sucked.
  21. Is it not a floating fin that allows the tail to flex? Or is that not possible, or is it the greatest idea ever!! If that's not what it is.
  22. Keep looking, there is a technique, jody seal will know, but leave the nut a little threaded at the end so when the prop comes free it doesn't go flying. The toughest one I had needed puller, and a hammer, started not too tight and tightened a little at a time, a good puller should do it.
