  1. Beautiful girl with a beautiful smile holding a slalom ski. Should win some kind of photography award!....Somebody will have a problem with it, but it ain't me!
  2. Dadgum EB every time you post I like you more. My first gar I purchased was a 1969 Z-28.
  3. I could be that person, except for that 1200 miles of separation. Good Luck
  4. Everything is easier in slow motion, you guys should try it.
  5. I love it when the pendulum physics discussion starts every year. It means ski season is here.
  6. It could very easily be put to rest with overhead video analysis...if someone needs to know bad enough.
  7. One of better know boat companies in the late 90s made a boat that was not good wake wise. One of their factory people came to our site and bondoed a few inches wide lip on the back edge of our boat. Wasn't pretty (if you're looking at the bottom of the boat) but it was effective at lifting the tail and making a better skiing boat.
  8. I've been driving 1 for a few months and I am very impressed with the tracking. It actually tracks so well I had to get used to it and learn to drive a little differently. To me it's easily the best driving Mastercraft in the last 20 years.
  9. I personally like the gate rule as it is.... but I wish the technology to enforce it was easier, didn't add to tournament cost and/or could be worked more quickly during the tournament. Also, might it be more advantageous to only enforce it at a particular level (for example level 5 or level 6 and up) that way it doesn't discourage new tournament skiers or lower level skiers.
  10. Y'all might want to look at Richard Lambert's scores.
  11. The list of women through 39 (in a tournament) is a short list. Kristi, Karina, Regina, Whitney...any others? That's all I can think of.
  12. @AB can you link to any Nate overhead videos please? Thanks
  13. @Horton yeah, I was just winging it in a few minutes.....somebody will have to know the answer once they start thinking about it. It would not surprise me if it was less than 1000.
  14. Reading this as who can run a legit 11.25 at 32, 34 or 36 (age group speed appropriate) , my guess would be in the 1000 ball park, maybe as high as 1500.
  15. One day I took my then 3 year old to lake. Later that day my wife comes to pick her up and comments that it is really windy today, to which my 3 year old replies "That's a tailwind mommy!". The thought of that still makes me smile.
  16. Along those same lines, in an ELR tournament, are the best drivers moving the boat 3.2 inches per turn ball?

    Sacrilege!

Back in those days, people must have really enjoyed slalom to run buoys behind those things. I started running buoys behind a 1980 Nautique and those wakes were brutal on a newbie.
  18. Got a ride in yesterday. 55 air, 55 water
  19. This is the picture that made me think of the taxidermy slant. I found this on a sports board a few years ago. The guy said he was trying his hand at taxidermy and wanted to know what people thought of his work, here's the picture he posted. When I saw it, I couldn't control my laughter for about 20 minutes. I had saved it for a while but couldn't find it the other day when I put up the starched leopard. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg78/jhaveyj/bobcat_1229.jpg
  20. I had some serious elbow pain many years ago and I can't fully straighten my right elbow these days. I get elbow pain from time to time...could be either elbow. But what I have found is that the cleaner and more fluid I ski, the less trouble I have with my elbows, back, knees. I think of body pain as a reminder to work on being smooth. (I still have plenty of work to do on being smooth). The funny thing is that all the same things that I work on to not abuse my body also seems to help my scores.
  21. I think you would find that Will Asher looks very similar as well.
