  1. I think the boot is screwed to a plate isn't it?
  2. I can't recommend the Syndicate Omni high enough! What a fantastic ski! I ski at 32 mph mostly and between 15 and 32 off. I've never been on a better ski. So effortless to ski. Easy on the body, Easy to get up on. Easy to maintain your outbown direction. Turns effortlessly. I first set my fin at factory recommended specs and haven't touched it since. I really think this ski is a game changer. I think you would love it.
  3. Love that video! I think it is @MarcusBrown best. Makes me proud to be on an HO.
  4. @jayski I wish my wife felt that way!
  5. @RazorRoss3 Functional joints isn't the only thing that @Brady wishes was still functioning!!!
  6. @MillerTime38 @Horton Oh hell no!!!! I mean....@Doug is great and all but......he's not my type! He's too....male!
  7. That doesn't make sense does it @markchilcutt? Why would Scot be interested in your boat? He has then new Nautique. This is just weird.
  8. Apparently I had some water still in my heater that froze because when I used my boat last Saturday I had water leaking from the heater around my feet. So I guess I need to replace my heater core, correct? But what I don't understand is shouldn't my heater fan (blower) still work and blow out air? Because it didn't.
  9. I think it is a ski for anybody. Somebody who skis the course into the shorter lines, get the Syndicate Omni. Total free skier, get the regular Omni. Somewhere in between, get the Carbon Omni. I've put skiers of all levels on it and I personally have never had anyone who tried it not like it if not love it. I don't even know what you mean by over cook it. If you want to ski it aggressively, go for it! It will rip! Don't want to ski it aggressively, you don't have to and it will perform wonderfully. I ski the course on my Syndicate Omni. My wife and daughters are open waterskiers who are anything but aggressive and they love their Carbon Omni. I can't say enough about this ski. Particularly for an older skier this ski is great because it doesn't beat you up. It is so easy on your body due to the ski having less drag then about any other ski out there thanks to that clean edge. You can ski longer and more sets because you don't get worn out. That's my opinion.
  10. The HO Omni I think would be perfect for you. I would probably recommend the Carbon Omni. But I think the Omni ski is a real game changer. It is so effortless to ski on and so easy on the body. Just a great ski.
  11. I absolutely love HO's new Syndicate handle. It is accurate and the quality is 2nd to none.
  12. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Allie at the California ProAm. I was so impressed by her. So friendly and down-to-earth with no attitude. It was fun talking to her. I became an instant fan.
  13. I agree with @LoopSki Most the comments here seem to be around which is the best slalom tournament boat with the best ski wake - which isn't your priority. For a family boat that does it all and skis well, out of those three boats the Calabria seems the clear winner.
  14. Loved that interview. Will is such a stand-up guy. I don't think there is anyone that I respect more in the industry. Hell of a skier too!
  15. I cannot recommend the Omni high enough. Its a game changer and just plain fun and effortless to ski on.
  16. I can't speak for the Radar Katana, but I can for the HO Omni. In a nutshell, I think it would be the perfect ski for you. For what you describe and your boat speed, I think the Omni or the Carbon Omni would be perfect. I don't think the Evo would be the best bet due to the speeds you are skiing (30+). It isn't designed for that speed and would probably feel a bit unstable. It is a soft ski which makes for smooth carving turns but at slower speeds than 30-32. The Omni on the other hand would be perfect. It has such low drag due to the unique speed skin bottom and the clean edge tail that it is effortless to ski on. If you normally make 10 passes you will make 20 passes on the Omni because it doesn't wear you out like other skis. The Carbon Omni would be a bit more responsive ski due to the carbon. But either ski will be great for open water skiing. Plus, the Omni will take you as far as you want to go if you do decide to get into a course. The Syndicate Omni is what I ski on and I absolutely love it.
  17. I think Matt Rini would be really interesting and would have an interesting story.
  18. @thager But if you have one valve going to the heater and then shut it off, no lake water can get in to freeze up. Or am I missing something?
