  1. I just enjoyed the semis on Webcast. CP looked strong, maybe overturning the Nano XTT (as on the bottom of his ski - what is that?) a few times on his onside. Looked like CP has gone back to a double boot, anyone see that? Reflex or PS? Or do I need new glasses?
  2. Freddie's a really good guy -he's pulled me quite a few times and I've watched him ski. I've seen him have 3 weeks off then run 10.75 (39) in a drysuit. And his hair is similar to Hortons. Someone give him glasses then compare photos. Oh he has a one handed gate too.
  3. sets on mine now, and so far I'm loving it. So forgiving - just what I need. Confidence is growing a little with each pass.
  4. @Rpc29 I got a Vapor yesterday. Now I have two sets on it, (in terrible windy weather). Same thing, offside great, onside - it doesn't seem to come round. Maybe I just need to reach a bit higher and be patient. I feel it has promise. I currently have Rossi settings and will persevere.
  5. The place looks beautiful John @Horton congrats.
  6. Thanks @TravisNW would you say the 2014 A3 is forgiving and consistent?
  7. As of today, I now have the same question and would like to reignite it as it has been nearly 6 months, since the last post on this topic. I demo'd the A3 today and liked it, but I cant find a vapour to try. What's the opinions out there between the two?
  8. What a great video. Amazing to see the angle both boys generate after the ball. I hope to ski with Vincent Soubiron in France in a few weeks time. One thing I did not see was a straight back leg.
  9. Great idea, but not sure I understand it. If I ski 6. passes, but only get 3 balls on my first pass, then ski all the next 5 passes complete, how many balls do I score? 3 or 33?
  10. Just to comment on the 6.0. I struggled with the ski for a month at first and was at the point of selling it. Andy set up after I sent him a video. I could not get it to work. Then I went to factory settings and eventually put boots quarter in forward. Now I love it. Best ski so far. But go to Andy or Aiden for the personal set up or just start at stock. The video set up didn't work for me. That said, the service from the company is great, just like the man behind the product.
  11. I know Goode customer service has taken a beating on the forums, however my experience has only been goode. I use PS5's and 3 buckles have broken over a year. I just emailed them and got a next day reply, saying "no problem - I'll send you some new ones". I love that. Same a few months ago, when I needed new plate screws. And no charge. With service like that I'd be happy to send them a ski for a refurb.
  12. Awesome Thread. thanks @brady for starting it, just what I need, as I too am working on exactly the same thing.
  13. @rico @horton I'm getting some coaching from Terry on Friday, then skiing 3 rounds at Great Lakes on Sat. @colo_skier , sinces Princes closed last year I ski at Denham Waterski. Its abouNice club, and you are welcome to ski there, just contact the club and you can book in. Let me know when you're going and I'll try and meet you there.
  14. A big thank you to @danbirch and @stevehaines and Al vanB for welcoming me at Canyon lake, it was great to meet some Ballers this side of the pond. Possibly the nicest water I've skiid on. I had a great morning and hope I can reciprocate someday in London. I love this tiny sport which I think makes people who love it friendly to all skiers. Sorry now I didnt take a photo. Next stop Newberry Springs CA tomorrow.
  15. @colo_skier @danbirch @Horton I arrive Sunday and am in Newport beach for about 2 weeks, then going to LA. Hoping to ski Canyon or anywhere else I can. Weather has been great for the last month in London, so I'm ski fit and ready. Oh yeah, I turned fifty on Saturday, but my skiing is getting better! I've nearly nailed 32 off. Always 5 ball, I get exited.
  16. I struggled on my M6 for some weeks, but I set the fin to stock, moved the boots forward and Kaboom, I love it. Got a PB last week, and matching it often now. I'm travelling to Cali next week and looking forward to skiing there. Hope to ski at the Canyon.
  17. As we are talking Dual Lock, I just has to remove the old tape and glue from the plate. I tried everything, goo gone, adhesive remover, nothing worked. Then I used silicone remover, left it 3 hours and Bingo! It came off.
  18. I had a similar fall the other day in Double PS's. Cranked my offside turn and Stop! The ski came to a halt and my plate released. Some minor pain in my front foot and ankle, but I skiid another set and pain went in 24 hrs. Seems to me you can get hurt on any bindings. I do wonder however if that's more likely in PS's. I'm not sure. I love my PS's, not many skiers are on them in the UK, so I see more injuries in other types, Strada, Rubber. The problem is, nothing feels as "secure" on my back foot which due to a weak rear ankle, I need. It would be interesting to start a poll. Injured Foot / Ankle? Y/N. Binding? Then we can see the ratio of PS's to others. Someone else do the poll please, I don't know how to.
  19. Morning Sprayers. I posted months ago and am really exited to visit on 17th August to 3rd Sept. looking forward to Cali skiing, but where? Help please. @horton how can I find your Dads place? Where else can I ski? Hope to meet some of you then. David
  20. A big thank you to all who posted on this topic, with many suggesting go forward with the boots. I did that, 1/4 inch and Kaboom! The skis works. All other settings are stock, but wing at 7. Cheers! Going to Newport Beach in August, never been to Cali before, hope to meet a few of you then.
  21. I'm going to Cali on vacation in the summer and would love to ski with T. Where is his lake?
  22. $125!! really? use a bit of cut pipe; - far more sensible. Invest the $125 in your stock of choice and watch!
  23. @patmaster , seems like you are about 29" from outside of boot, Where as most guys here are saying go Forward. So now I am a little confused to say the least, but I think I will try forward first. Which Strada were you on, did you try the 2013 Carrot?
  24. Thanks @Marco. that sound good, think I'll try your numbers, before the boot forward.
