  1. I just used the intuitions straight out the box, no problem. It takes a few sets but then you get used to them. I just replaced my 3 year old liners and there is a difference, so it seems they need to be broken in. I used to use reflex, the thinner liners are better IMO.
  2. Hello mate @web ,welcome from across the pond.
  3. My wife has bought me one for Xmas- yay! I can't ski though - bicep still torn - still can't wait to see it on Xmas day.
  4. @Horton‌ Is your back heel held down tight and gripped. I like a bit of movement. My PS5's have a spring to allow that and I imagine the Strada's are not so snug. Also, by lateral movement I assume that means side to side?
  5. @GOODESkier‌ as we are talking PS5's, how do you stop the boots over rotating? After every set, my front boot has moved anti-clockwise, and more so, the rear has moved clockwise, as far as it will go. (LFF).
  6. I've tried Goo Gone, lighter fluid, white spirit, you name it. To remove it easily there is one way. Purchase a tube of silicone remover. Apply, leave an hour, its gone! Particularly the PS plate was difficult to do without this. Ski was no problem. My dual lock is ready to be renewed for next season so I will do mine soon. That OB4 system looks good and no messy Dual lock!
  7. @skijay Your closet looks very tidy. Looks like you have PS5 intuition liners as well as Stradas. Do you feel the Stradas, offer you a little more freedom to move about?
  8. So I'm sitting here with my bicep injury and not skiing and looking at my Vapor mounted with Goode PS5's. It seems to me that with a loose rear boot (Wiley or similar) or an RTP, the average skier is more able to get his weight forward more over the front. I know the PS's have a heel lift / spring, but how many of you guys actually LIFT the rear heel. I've seen the maple rear foot video, (no lift but some sideways movement), but he's not human. It looks like Nate lifts his heel particularly on his offside turn, with a RTP, but I'm not sure. I wonder if the Strada boots allow some rear heel lift? What's the opinions out there?
  9. Great video - allows me to understand, what does what and the consequences thereof.
  10. Torn bicep last weekend. I'm done.
  11. Goode skis are made with only the finest quality materials. They costs more than $2k each. If they started making them the correct length, no one could afford them. So they use a bit less carbon and keep the price down! That's why they are a bit shorter. Simple economics.
  12. we call it "back arm", ie your right is your back arm going into 1 ball. Back arm pressure is good!
  13. @jimski Yes I use goode PS5's on a Vapor. No problems - been on them for 3 years. But I feel you can get your weight more forward with a RTP. As for release, nothing is perfect, but usually its ok. If you are used to double boots - no problem. Really comfy too. Just follow the guide by @scottchipman on the amount of dual lock you need. My rear foot got injured some years ago so I went to the PS system which for me is pain free. I don't know if there are still fans of PS, but I am. Alternatively there are loads of people using Reflex front and a regular rubber (but not too tight) rear.
  14. I'm really enjoying seeing all your ideas. Hats off to you. I can't come up with anything nearly as good. My vote goes to JWebSki, but in light blue.
  15. A great skier, a great guy, he deserves it. Watch out slalom, here comes Freddie. I believe this is just the start.
  16. It seems that here in the uk, most people use reflex + a back of their choice, ((except me- on PS5's). In the US, what's the most common boot and are people moving away from PS / dual lock? And are the die hard Goode skiers just using them out of brand loyalty or are they safe?
  17. Are the RS1 boots basically the same as the newer Strada or Venom?
  18. T-Gas is a perfect ambassador for our sport. To get any airtime on TV is great, product endorsement is fine and the only medium to get it in front of the masses. Pro tournaments were on TV when I was a kid, thanks to Peter Stuyvesant Cigarettes and KP Nuts. I say lets get more products using waterskiers to sell their wares, get more airtime, even if it is commercials and get people into our sport. I accept cigarettes are possibly no longer appropriate. But look at what Red Bull does for air racing, cliff diving, etc. So come on Rolex, Sony, Nike and all and sponsor some great athletes to showcase your gear. Well done to T-Gas, (and his agent) for promoting what we do.
  19. I had great service from Randy at Masterline. fixed my faulty rope AND gave me a new one as a goodwill gesture. He replied to emails within a day or two. All within a week and delivered. Great Service. I'm a customer of Masterline for life. Give the man another go! The product is great.
  20. I'm looking for a new glove. Progears we're perfect but they changed manufacturers and then I was in between sizes. I hate it when the glove bunches on the palm. So I've been using Connelly Vortex. Also Amara but they are perfect - but now they stopped making them. I'm gonna buy a pair of these curves to try, or maybe Radar Vapor Boas.
  21. My son is 5'11", weighs about 180, PB 4 @ 36 mph, but he will nail it soon. What size Vapor do you guys recommend? 66 or 67 ?
  22. Were you on PS5's that did not release? Too much Velcro or it released too late?
  23. Well done webcast tv. Defo the best coverage so far. The drone was rubbish but it's the first attempt. Keep at it, the quality will improve and produce some really cool footage. I used Apple TV and watched it on the big screen. It made my weekend being able to watch it in the UK.
