  1. Masterline just got handles in last week late in the week Thursday. Give them time to drill and grommet them. They are at nationals
  2. 'To get to nats you should have to place in state, regionals and then bring the best to the nats for the show down' is well said MS. And that should be the way the nationals work. BUT It will never happen because USAWS is all about money not the skier. I get a better ride at my local tournament then at the nationals. Something is wrong with that .
  3. I would bet that half the skiers are at regionals because they are forced to be there in order to ski nationals.
  4. mshaw200 I know you ski in your respective division and I respect that. Like always it is a hand full of people who screw it up for everybody else.. What do I get out of skiing the nationals? Nothing. The Nationals carry no weight as far as the best skiers being able to ski, you have MM skiers who have won Big Dawgs skiing in their respective age groups which is their choice. USAWS has to make a choice one way or another if they want the sport to grow. Does Europe or Canada have this same problem??????
  5. How about going back to an EP based system. Put the EP between 3-5 @ 38 or higher in men 3,4,5 and delete MM. This may solve some of the problem for nationals regionals . Like years ago you will get the best of the best and anybody on the dock has the chance to bring home some hardware . USA will not like this idea because this will reduce their cash flow. But it will make the nationals something special again.
  6. Try this link http://www.wholesaleforeveryone.com/category/doo-rags-single-piece.html?gclid=CMPyrrLV1rECFQT0nAodmCAAeA
  7. In the early 2000's it used to take 5@35 off for M2 or 4@35 for M1. Men 3 used to have almost 200 hundred skiers alone. Anybody there could win on any given day. You did have the best of the best. And there were no issues like today. The kids numbers started to drop because mom and dad did not qualify. If the parents did not qualify the kids who were able to ski nationals did not go. Drop in entries and revenue. So the EP's dropped to allow the parents to qualify so the parents would bring the kids. Now with the new system of level 8, 9 ect. there are no EP's so you don't get the best of the best you get who ever is in the cutoff level and above. The nationals have become a joke. Everybody laughs at INT but there numbers are growing and we are not. They do take the top 5 or 10 skiers from every region and they get to go to the INT nationals. They get the best of the best even though it is performance based ie never made 28 off not age based.
  8. The nationals used to be very prestigious tournament. Now it seem that it is just a cattle drive to see how many skiers they can ski in a week. With the Big Dawg the issue of top skiers dropping down into their divisions the nationals seem to be just an ordinary tournament.
  9. The 13 are nice looking saw on the other day.
  10. People may drop into there respective division for a couple of reasons. One reason work. They may not be able to ski on the day MM skis so they drop down to M3 or M4. Or many have to deal with there kids and there skiing. A drop down in division may cut the time at the site from all week down to 3 days.
  11. My guess would be if they can bring home a medal from the nationals and or regionals.
  12. People do pre order promo boats. The advantage of pre ordering is you can pick your options, color and O/B or closed bow.
  13. Accurate and Overtons rope come packaged and ready to ship. A container comes in and then it is out to the retail shops.
  14. DW the knot has to come out it. It will weaken the rope and cause it to break at that point.
  15. The majority of those ropes are made in China. There is no quality control in the production. The only way you are going to get a good quality rope is to buy from a vendor in the USA. Ie Masterline ,US Gear or Intow. I know for a fact every Masterline is measured prior to shipping I cant speak for the other mentioned companies.
  16. I recently went to a reflex myself and it was the white cuff boot. I did have to the plate back one hole from where my rubber plates were to free up the ski. After that the ski was like normal. getting out of the water the first time makes you feel like a newbie again. It will only get better.
  17. REALLY . Now I think I have heard everything as far as skiing goes. Why don't we just handicap the big dawg also.
  18. What more can really be said. I knew for over 30 years. He will be missed greatly. Next time you have a glass of red wine send Rich a toast.
  19. try the reflex web site. http://reflexworld.com/instructions.shtml
  20. Rich pretty much nailed it. In many pro's contracts they will get a bonus or a bigger payday if the record is broken behind their sponsor. The only time you will see a sponsored skier break a record behind another boat is during a pro tour type series where on boat IE master craft is the sponsoring tow boat.
  21. Hitting the gym is great during the season. Personally I try to ski first and then push weights and then cardio for 45 minutes X 2 days in a row and then on the third day I do just cardio. When a tournament is the next day I take it easy and do just cardio. On the water trainning I will run back to backs x 6 passes on windy days or days I just want to work on certain things. great way to change it up cardio wise.
  22. Horton you said it all. 38 is a mental ................mess. ya that's it
