  1. What's the difference between these and the ProGear gloves? I've been on the ProGear gloves for two seasons now and love them. Not a single blister and great feel. Love them!
  2. My drysuit ripped less than a week into our season. I immediately ordered my Blacktec shorty and was able to endure near 45/45 temperatures without much difficulty. My legs were awfully pink however! The durability is definitely an issue even though I've been handling it with kid gloves. Also, it seems that its thermal rating has gone down with use. It doesn't seem nearly as warm as it was back in the spring, but I'm guessing that's due to some small pin-sized holes that have begun to appear due to wear. At $150 I can justify buying a new whenever it becomes necessary. They are super comfortable.
  3. I always consider myself a guinea pig when purchasing new waterski products!
  4. Our '15 is awesome except for the gosh darn gps pucks surging throughout the course (and outside of it)!
  5. We were up to 80-85 by July 4, but we've been wetter and colder than usual ever since. July 4 = 102*; July 5 = 56*!
  6. Actually he was taunting @OB1 with pictures of pristine lakes that are too cold for him to ski at!
  7. It was great meeting and skiing with you Ryan! You have style for miles! Now, where did you tie your PB? No Wake Lake or Echo? I'm glad my coaching helped!
  8. Sounds a lot like what Seth Stisher was explaining in the August issue of Waterskier. I hope your back heals quickly!
  9. Well done Marcus! I didn't see a shot that looked out of place or weak. The editing moved with Will's dialogue and never distracted from what he was saying. I'd say you got it out at the right time! You may have screwed it up if you fussed with it more!
  10. Whenever one rider/team proves himself/themselves as the best at the time trial and the strongest in the mountains I begin to wonder. And when that same rider/team never has a bad day, I wonder more. Interestingly, I'm not really caught up in the anti-doping movement. I just bum out when it's apparent that one team seems to have better drugs than the rest.
  11. I missed out too @rawly . It pays to check BOS daily!

    ZO Surging

Our '15 TXi has surge issues. We'll disconnect one puck at a time and see if that solves the problem.
  13. I'm a huge fan of calls being made in the moment and in real time. No cameras. Multiple judges. Majority rules. On with the show! It may not be as accurate, but it's human and it's consistent. Disagree with the judges? Get 'em next time, 'cause there ain't no protestin' the final decision! This isn't brain surgery it's entertainment. A little imprecision just adds to the spectacle. In the end I think this adds more to a pro's bottom line than long drawn out reviews that ultimately eliminate very little controversy. Disclaimer: I'm also against computers/robotics over human labor - in most cases.
  14. I just emailed Brooks and if'n there are spots still available, I am in! I need a PNW fix and 70* water sounds down right balmy! Thanks @brooks and @richarddoane ! JP
  15. This news is too horrible to respond to. I'm so sorry for your loss Mike.
  16. Thomas Jefferson didn't patent any of his numerous inventions. He claimed they stymied innovation.
  17. Or they could just put a crop in there and have farm equipment running - quads, combines, perhaps a crop duster drifting pesticides their way.... Ski lakes make wonderful neighbors.
  18. It would be awesome to go ski with a pro, demo skis, and at the end of the day/weekend have a ski design with a professionally recommended tuning that you could build yourself. I would do it just for the learnin', the fun of it, and to say that I did it, but I already have a hard time spreading my financial love to all of the ski manufacturers that I have a loyalty to, so for me it would be a one-off project.
  19. That dog landed in clover when she found your home!
  20. The complaints are coming from the neighbors who fear waterskiing will disrupt their serene setting and spook the deer. Are you kidding me?! It used to be a mining operation.
  21. The best way to describe Steve Cockeram's style would be "casual"! His off-side turns are sooo relaxed and patient.
  22. It would be nice if there was a clip of Bob ripping it up at the end!
