  1. @adamchord Would your ecommendation still be size large if I skiied 34 mph? Sorry for all of the qurries.
  2. This is one of the best tournaments of the year. The competitor has the opportunity to co-miingle with a varity of skiers, have fun, share the nuances of our sport and maybe come away a better skier. There should be more of these each year. Kutos to Mr. Horton, Nor Cal and MasterCraft for putting this on.
  3. Recommended size for a mens 7 skier 190 lbs authletic skiing style? Skiing into -35 @ 32 mph.
  4. A more than 50% increase in price for anything is a streach. Where does it stop? $10,000 skies and 1 M boats? This is concerning, I would think. My $.02 or is it up to $.04 now.
  5. I agree. Many peole I know are literally sleeping with their ski. I think we assume that if it is hot for humans it is too hot for our fiberglass companions. Molecularly the structural mutation temperature must be > 1000 degrees F.
  6. Any thoughts about adverse effects of outdoor heat, shaded?
  7. Good advice, the capitan should never leave the cockpit empty while on auto pilot. I'm turnig of the motor from now on.
  8. Without a doubt the Intow loops are easier to use and the colored sections are great.
  9. Arizona today Lakeside Ski Village 96.4 F
  10. You make very good high quality ski tow gear. Please, Please, Please color the rope sections on the tournament quality ropes so that a spectator on the shore can tell what line length the skier is running.
  11. I am selling a 2000 Malibu Responce for a neighbor on our lake. Good price 710 hours, however I am in AZ. PM me if you are interested.
  12. Use it to do some quick pull-up as a warm up for some good buoy chasing.
  13. Teak, if you are in a hot climate. Burned feet today on my fiberglass MC platform.
  14. The is the up side. I like were you are going with this. I just love chasing buoys.
  15. Ok, so next tournament we have we can use a 1989 Brendella.
  16. It seem apparent that what is happening with pricing will continue. A few years from now we will be complaining about $150,000 tournament boats. As a group we need to tell the slalom boat manufacturesr that we are not intrested in bigger heavier more expensive boats.
  17. @LeonL Lets just say the demise of the CP had nothing to do with the popularity of the boat.
  18. The CP didn't die because people didn't think they are a great boat. I believe it would have taken off sales wise because they bucked the trend happening with what the other manufactures were doing. They were a sort of a rebel with a great wake.
  19. jack up the engine box and slide in a ProStar.
  20. Important topic. In any sport the longterm health is that the cost to participate will influance growth or not. Golf, for example, commanded huge greens fees in the past. Now with a steady decline in participation, the greens fees have moderated. In tournament skiing with the governing body telling the competetors what products (boats) they must have will have the effect of deminishing participation. Especially in view of the cost of the boats, even promo boats are hard to approach from a fiscal standpoint. The boats have become bigger, heavier and needing larger more powerful and expensive engines to move them down the course. I don,t think any buoy chaser asked for these changes. Particularly when prices become astronomical. So this is nothing new. Can we make a change? I would like to float this idea. Instead of the governing body testing and certifing certian boat manufactures, they simply re-inforced the idea that a boat must go straight through the course and maintain speed tolarances. After all no one would buy a boat that can't pull a 150 skier out of the water. What other sports governing body dictates the equipment the competitors use. This is an old discussion, but IMO it has a potentail to punish the sport we love.
  21. Pull the rope into the boat and throw it on the floor, no coiling. Then the skier picks up the handle and the rope runs out from the floor if the boat. Skier watches for knots. Jack Horton taught me this.
  22. A credable sourse recently told me that Rev S plus elliminated the number system within the letter designation. In other words there are three settings A+,B+,C+ The numbers within the letter group have no barring on the control in the plus mode????
