Baller Dacon62 Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 You get use to it and it seems to be fairly consistent on my 17. Shows full till you get to approx 1/2 - 1/3 of a tank then dials down fairly quickly.

ThomasAlive
Very awesome! I feel better that at least my '17 is still relevant. The best part out of all of this is the MC website slowing down to a crawl. I'd like to believe that there is so much interest in skiing that the servers are frying right now. Baller usaski1 Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 Yeah, seems the MC site has crashed! But just as ThomasAlive said, the new PS is not all that different, at least cosmetically, and our "last gen" Prostars are still relevant.
jordanh
So glad MC sticks with a teak platform. It looks however that the red and white boat posted has a fiberglass platform. IS this now an option, has it always been one?
Administrators Horton Posted June 24, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2020 @usaski1 yes you guys crashed the server for a few minutes and that is no small feat. As for the cosmetics yes the new boat looks a lot like the old boat but it is a total redesign. Baller Broussard Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 @BraceMaker The drivers seat has been moved toward the center line of the boat to have it centered on the steering wheel. The rudder is now centered on the prop instead of being offset which will result in more symmetry at the wheel. .
Baller swc5150 Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 And I was planning to buy a boat before covid hit. Glad I held off! First impression is I love the looks. Please MC, show us a video with the boat vs primarily skiers. And show the rudder, full running surface, etc. As an added bonus, that starting MSRP is not insane. Baller ironhorse Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 @FWinter does the additional fuel capacity have much of an impact on wake when full? Being on a public lake with a course, I do fill my boat when I need fuel but hate the additional weight in my current boat.

Baller Freddie Winter Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 @ironhorse For me it's the best of both worlds. If your thing is to only ski with 10 gallons in the boat you can do that but if you don't care (or if you have a full day of ski school to drive ?) you can go forever. Baller_ The_MS Posted June 24, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted June 24, 2020 Rear seats being an option is great and a money saver. No stereo No rear seats No bow cover Lowers the price of a ski tug. Awesome

Baller Broussard Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 @ironhorse The fuel tank is larger, but the battery has been moved back to under the observer's seat. So while you can potentially have more weight due to additional gas, the weight of the battery has been moved toward the front of the boat. . Baller_ Wish Posted June 24, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted June 24, 2020 Love to see a SeaDeck color in the new MC that does not try to look like teak wood as wood does not bend around stuff like motor boxes. TB29
Happy to see that the floor looks to be carpeted! Some sea dek is a nice touch to certain areas of a boat, but I haven’t been a fan of the recent trend to only have sea dek
Baller Broussard Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 @TB29 As with the previous generation there will be 4 floor options: fiberglass, carpet, DECKadence, or SeaDek, .

Baller Freddie Winter Posted June 24, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 24, 2020 I guess some aren't feeling the SeaDek love today ? Honestly there's actually not that much in the boat *if you don't want it*. It's on the gunnels and a little on the engine box but that's basically it. Some of the imagery does look like it's full SeaDek floors but it's not the reality. As @Broussard said, the cool thing is that there are a few options. The boats I've spent the most time in have Deckadence on the floors, a spongy foamy kinda deal thats nice under the feet and doesn't pick up dirt and drys quick. That'd be my pick. But for those that are into it there's a full SeaDek flooring option. Decisions, decisions...
