  1. Hardly seems like an event that is producing the worlds best skiing for the world championship Seems like a complete crap-shoot for all of the competitors. More importantly there have been a large number of injuries at the event. A few season ending And for what a tournament across the world in Malaysia with no spectators Its the business of the IWWF Find a place that will pay 250K for the event and wine and dine all those who show up. Seems for a 250K bid there would be a cash prize for the athletes and a great venue for the event..
  2. There have been quite a few injuries from skiing on these conditions. Some busted ankles which will keep people from competing. It’s a shame the athletes have to travel across the world to ski in that
  3. @TheBigHead Some dealers may not actually know there is an issue with the 6 liter. So I’d give him the benefit of the doubt since the 6 liter is old technology. I’m not sure why suddenly some of the 18’s and 19’s began having these issues. Not like anything changed since the 17. I actually have an 18 and have been in several which don’t have these issues. I along with Malibu are a bit baffled with these engines having these issues. With all that being said, Malibu will start doing their own engines and not buying from PCM for the 20’s. If you are going to take a bunch of heat for a problem with engines produced by someone else I would say building them yourself is a much better idea. I hope you get the problem resolved soon to your satisfaction.
  4. Call Malibu. These issues are with the PCM 6 liter engine. Malibu will reach out or have someone from PCM work with you to solve.
  5. @Ed_Johnson well said!!! Let’s get back to skiing. Leave all that personal bs elsewhere.
  6. @liquid d You are right about @scoke. Great plan for the scokes tonight to celebrate. Wish I could join in the celebration for Shelby tonight. This guys works very hard to ski well. Super pumped for him. I will make sure to attend next year. Congrats to Shelby for a huge win and accomplishment. They are not easy to come by. Drink a crown for me
  7. Well I actually rode the new Goode Carbon Core revolution at the Nationals and the Big Dawg. I was already riding the revolution. Dave sent me the ski the week before nationals and I am not one to change skis right before Nationals. I had 6 sets in the ski. The difference for me was immediately how quickly the ski responded and how solid it felt under your feet. As soon as I wanted the ski it was there and very quick across course while shutting down easily into the buoy. My first tournament set on the ski I ran 1.5 @41. And the rest of my scores were pretty much 4 @39. Which is about where my skiing has been. Haven’t run many 39’s this year. I can tell that this ski is going to change that for me. This ski truly feels like another drastic improvement in water skis. My first thoughts were similar to those the first time I rode the 9100 so many years ago. I think this will start a trend others will try to follow as well. Anyway that is my .02 cents in the new Rev Carbon Core
  8. I would have to agree with my friend @matthewbrown The prop wash is an indicator of the boat path. That’s not to say that there is never a variance based on load and counter steering. While the prop was can move depending on the boat and the pylon being centered. It’s usually somewhat closer to the middle. The best view is from the end course camera.
  9. Will Asher has a closed now in Orlando it’s a 2017
  10. It should be under warranty. Sounds like the screen is bad. The 15 should have a key down by the cup holder to start the boats as well.
  11. I know the boat and it is in immaculate condition. A friend of mine owns it and it is in great shape.
  12. Try it with the three blade prop. Much better pull and the loss of rope on the back side of the buoy is gone. The three blade at least at 34 seems to give a more consistent pull which makes it easier to keep a tight line on the back side of the buoy. They used the 3 blade for the LCQ Open men and scores seemed pretty good.
  13. All a bunch of BS. I completely agree with @Bruce_Butterfield Safe sport has no way to enforce the law. If you see something inappropriate call someone who can do something about it. Call the damn police and have it investigated by a law enforcement entity. I agree it’s the latest bandwagon to ride. And marking it harder and harder to get involved in skiing. And as @Jody_Seal seal said the next mandate with be on all officials. We are gonna need to build a wall to keep the remaining members from hauling ass. Great job USA Waterski

  15. Nate Smith makes me want to take 2 weeks off and quit. Amazing but not surprised. He seldom misses 41 in practice. Different sport
  16. https://www.wholesalemarine.com/caframo-pali-400w-engine-compartment-heater/ This works awesome.
  17. I would bet against Malibu being the next to drop. They are as dedicated to three event skiing as anyone. Obvious by the number of events they have hosted over the past several years. I look for them to remain committed to 3 event skiing
  18. @Jody_Seal there’s always a Malibu available for your tournament. Just say the word
  19. Babes boat bright after use. Never have to wax the boat. Have spots Babes spot solver. Spray on the boat while dry and then wash off. Seal the boat with babes boat bright. I use exclusively and we have water that tends to spot the boats. With regular use of babes. I never wax my boat. Looks brand new and shiny all the time
  20. At kiwi place. Old USA waterski headquarters
  21. Well word has it. The 200 is at the USA waterski boat test this weekend. Getting approved for tournament use.
  22. I think crabbing or allowing the back of the boat to move into the skier at the buoy is a result of not countering soon enough and getting caught a little behind. Somewhat chasing the skier. @bishop8950 description which included the driver knowing where the skier is in the course is excellent Waiting and not being as quick to block or pickup the skier who is running downcourse. It’s as important to feel or know when the skier is running an early line as well because the driver should have to make a move sooner to maintain a tight line for the skier. Also Knowing which foot forward your skier iwill help the driver to know which side to expect the skier to be more aggressive. It is a dance and It feels much better when the driver knows where you are at. . I think most skiers would just prefer to apex the turn and fell a tight line as soon as they can without delaying the finish of the turn
