  1. Update: Actually the purpose of the thread was to get a better sense of when people typically change skis. Ie: after nationals, beginning of the year etc. I guess I really didn't word my original post well and made it more about me and what I should do. Personally, I took the advice of Mr. Bogan's ( @than_bogan ) and bought the N1XT. It arrived this morning, slapped my binders on in, check the fin settings which were bag on and during the break in the 2 days of rain, went out and ran my practice PB, first set on it. Let's hope the Mojo continues tomorrow morning and this weekend. Guess it is a keeper.
  2. Keep 'em coming Ed.
  3. Got in a bonus ski, right before it started raining up hear and then it will be nice all weekend so another on Sunday
  4. I am going for over-priced. Not too many people want to live with high tension power lines right above their heads, these cut directly through the site. My math tells me that they have to have at least 60 build-able lots just to break even at 200K/lot, most of the houses in the surrounding area are worth just barely that according to Zillow. Then again anything is possible, I am no real estate expert, in fact I have never made money in buying/selling the 2 houses I have owned.
  5. @rfa‌ sorry. I clearly spoke too soon. Sounds like August 1st at the earliest. I missed my window.
  6. I have not seen this discussed yet. So I want to upgrade my ski from an 2012 A2. However we have now started the tournament season. I am a M4 and ski into 35off, but need a bite of 38 to qualify for nationals(which I am hoping some coaching and a new stick will get me). I am thinking of trying the XT and would like to use the whole 30 days of trial. Do I bite the bullet now, knowing that I have 2 tournaments and regionals coming up in the next 4 weeks or do I wait till after Regionals, if I don't qualify for Nationals? I know I should have done this at the beginning of this season, but I was waiting on a check and it just came in.
  7. @Than_Bogan‌ please please please go to my pt. we can't handle this side of you.
  8. Slow start here in New England, but we are starting to get better weather. First tournament of the year and first time this year running 32 off. And did it in both rounds, which I have never done before. There may be hope for me. Of course I will ski like a donkey tonight.
  9. Either @Chef23‌ or I could coordinate something for you out here.
  10. +1 on Chet. Great guy and coach. Can't wait to go back.
  11. I think you have to run a few successful passes(6 balls) at easier for you passes before you try a pass you do not make. Need to build some rhythm and go to the next and either try it or try it at slower speed.
  12. I always undo the Velcro on the cross piece and loosen the two cords and pull my foot out of the liner to preserve the liner as @chef23 says. Takes no time at all.
  13. Looks like Parish was on an XTT
  14. I think different styles may feel the wakes differently. I have skied behind a few(not many) 200's and with my style sometimes I feel the wake with a particular boat and other boats I don't really feel it. To me it is not that it is a bigger bump at 22 and 28 but stiffer than others.
  15. Pretty cool system. Do you envision it mounting to windshield. Will the mount have any dampening at all.
  16. Intuition actually sell a home kit to mold them. I did not personally use it. https://intuitionliners.com/fitting/home-fitting-instructions/
  17. Started pretty young doing the morning paper route, added a second route a couple of years later. Instead of collecting every week from everyone. I decided it was much more efficient to collect from half the route every other week. I still remember recording everything in the book they gave us. In addition my dad got me a job washing dishes at a catering hall, graduated to waiter and finally to bartender. Did that until sophomore summer in college and then worked in high tech and been doing that in one way or another for 31 years. My kids(17yo) have not "worked" a day in their lives unless you count the odd babysitting job, or me paying them to shovel the snow. But then again I want them to concentrate on school, as we all know there will be plenty of time to work.
  18. I have a 2000 response lx. It is a great slalom boat. I really like the walkover, makes it feel like a closed bow but with some extra room when my kids have friends over for non skiing activities. You can't go wrong.
  19. @Than_Bogan‌ don't kid yourself. 'C' is your first language.
  20. Not sure most of the athletes want to go back either. Let's not talk about the glamour US pro sports, but the track and field guys or the bobsled guys, etc who get endorsements and prize money so they don't need second jobs just to be able to "stay" amateur as it was before the change. Don't even get me started on NCAA rules that don't let the kids earn money or risk losing their status.
  21. Skied today with Aaron Larkin at Greater Miami Ski Club. Air and water temp were ~70, although the water was definitely chilly. 1 set before the rain came. just skied a bunch of 22's since I have not skied since end of Oct. A plug for Aaron, if you are in the area - I really enjoyed skiing with him.
