  1. @than_bogan, I actually broke out my heater top this morning. There was sun, but absolutely no humidity, so it felt even colder.
  2. Hoping for more after a week at Chet's but up 1.5 in tourney's. Still the same practice pb. Goal is nationals next year which is 3 more buoys.
  3. I agree on the HF jiggler. The hose is to stiff enough and kinks. I found some PVC pipe around the hose in strategic places solves the problem.
  4. you need to find a new ski partner, i am not worthy
  5. A lacrosse ball is your friend. It hurts like all getout. But it allows you to roll the pain right out, even better than a foam roller(which is also great). Stretching is for after exercise. Active warm up before
  6. @joelhowley will be missed at Coble's this year. Our MA clan is heading down next week.
  7. any score that leaves me losing to @chef23 by .5 buoy
  8. @OB got me thinking about our newly installed bubble buoys. @OB talked about the Bubble buoys floating at weird angles sometimes and we are experiencing the same thing. What have others done to keep the BB plumb with a PVC/portable course?
  9. @than doesn't have low standards to ski in, he has no standards if he hasn't skied in a couple of days, the man will ski through anything. He didnt even mention the bad backwash we have because the water is the hightest it has been in long time
  10. Boat sits in the water from May 1 - Oct 31. Every month or so, I will sweep out the crap from the trees, Wipe down the seats if I am bored, other than that it is put gas in and go ski.
  11. @shaneh. Jerry was skiing great at PBTC, was he still on the mapple? Got to say it was fun hanging around with him and his peeps. Good people.
  12. I need a new ski partner. Mine don't look like that, nor ski that well.
  13. @mattp. That is great work. It has been 20 years since I went to the tour stop on CT, Which was extremely well attended.
  14. The pro events could hand out a "vocab" guide for the newbies to understand the speak also. Just to latch onto another point made earlier, the fact that it is repetitive can't be one of the factors inhibiting growth, There are many sports that are repetitive/"boring" that have great followings. Sports are about drama and the competition. We need to highlight those and promote, promote, promote. We need skiers to ski and be personalities, sponsors to sponsor, and promoters to promote. Promotion is about pulling the people in and having a great experience. Given how good the pros are now, they should start thinking about a minimum starting rope length(to keep it moving) in pro events. You could argue that, with waterski it is the one sport that you actually are watching the athlete warm up during the competition itself which adds to the time the event takes.
  15. With the available footage, it is clear he missed it. Too bad he was skiing great, but the rules are the rules.
  16. @aswinter05. Congrats on making the pass. Now you have to deal with the addiction to improving your ball count. Coble's is a great place to learn and improve. We are going back beginning of July and look forward to skiing on lake 4.
  17. They are runnIng lake 4 for slalom at cobles for slalom? They say that is the best one down there
  18. Tournament PB is .5@35/34mph. Practice is 4@35. My goal for the year is run 32 in 3 tournaments and get past 4 ball once at 35. My ranking score is 89, so I would like to get it to 92.
  19. First set in course this year was better than the first three weeks of sets last year.
  20. Had a laminectomy/discectomy(a trimming of the effected fragment/herniation) 16+ years ago. Relieved the sciatica and leg weakness I experienced and have been skiing ever since. Recovery from that surgery was quite quick and I was back in the gym in 2 weeks.
  21. Sales mgr for email messaging software. Those who can't sell manage.
  22. +1 on both Jenny and doing some gym work during the season. Last year was the first I kept going to the gym and felt that made me stronger durning ski season not weaker. Being in good overall shape means more practice time.
  23. @shaneh. How do you think you would have felt without the crossfit workouts thrown in?
  24. Very cool to see how the ski is laid up. @horton, the handle idea is cool. I would like to see that one also. Don't Brenda, Masterline, US gear, all hand string right here is the good ole USA :)
  25. Actually started earlier than normal in spite of the crap new england weather.
