  1. @thager , that one can now be averted with Sure-Path, as it records times as well.
  2. @MISkier and, on driving, Sure-Path and the like are also starting to take care of driver bias (and improving average drivers in the process).
  3. https://www.moombamasters.com.au/webcast-2022/ works for me
  4. There are many very partial truths and some false statements in many eco-driven lithium mining articles out there. Electric cars will become cheaper than internal combustion cars in the next few years. Performance of electric cars is in another league at the same price point, as well as maintenance costs. Electricity is becoming less and less dependent on fossil fuels in (very) large part due to solar and wind generation being much cheaper Electricity transport is instantaneous, and cheaper than for any other fuel. In the future, collectors will pay more for less performant, more expensive to maintain and less reliable internal combustion cars and boats. As we do for mechanical watches.
  5. Electric engines will take over mobility, there is no way around that.
  6. Try it. As @jhughes states, it will be a very different animal. I own an R2, and have only good things to say about it.
  7. Different skis for different purposes. What speed/line lenght are you running?
  8. We are freezing in south Florida. Tomorrow max temp will not even reach 70 F.
  9. @jcamp , did you get a link or communication when it was time for re-up?
  10. I did it in a little less than 90 mins.
  11. @Tige , if you can add 2 screws, add them.
  12. I am under 55 and believe that increasing buoy count is better achieved in the likes of Florida behind a boat rather than near that hole…
  13. Cutting that tongue was the first mod we slalomers did before the white cuff boot was available. That plus the open lower part of the cuff allows the free fore-aft movement, and are the only big difference between both. And the reason for the achilles protecting safety strap.
  14. @aupatking, @Horton is correct, except for the m instead of b typo in “by”. The base of the white and black are different. White open cuff and shorter base allows fore and aft movement, the combination of closed black cuff and taller base restrict pretty much all movement. This combination has far more impact than the cuff’s stiffness, which is not that different as per my finger test...
  15. , what an amazing picture. What kind of cloud is that???
  16. As per what I have seen across several years, most Reflex pre-releases are due to a poor setup/maintenance. In particular, when the boot can come off without the spring system opening. That is the most important test to make. In this scenario, spring over-tension not only does not matter, but can favor a pre-release. I believe all waterski binding systems are pretty low tech on their release approach. The phrase “if you do not lace them too tight” is a clear proof.
  17. I used to wash with dish soap the bottom of all my new skis. Started using a new NRG R2 last week, no soap/wash, and it worked like a charm from the first pass. Just hope now that the ski keeps working well when all wax or whatever is washed out…
  18. @The_MS , bump up your thread, or this one will take the lead!
  19. What are the latest magic numbers for the 67” NRG R2?
  20. D3 is making a really good life vest (by Camaro).
  21. @braindamage , on your second link you can find the affiliated clubs: https://www.waterski.ch/index.php?page=23
  22. @Jody_Seal , I believe you have conflicting points of views. Your last phrase is what I hear from the left in latin america. Do you also think that it is immoral for a top level waterski whose family can afford tuition to accept a scolarship at e.g. ULL? BTW soccer, as a sport, cares very little about the olympics. And, as stated many times in this forum, the Olympic games are only one part of the Olympic movement.
