  1. I did mine in white just under the rug rail. I used a heat gun on the old one and they came right off. I was very careful in not getting the gelcoat too hot though.
  2. Does it have a single GPS unit or 2?
  3. @LeonL I've had similar issue with Fedex. I talked to a rep they suggested I create an account and add direction to my house and upload pictures. Nothing changed, it must depend on the drivers. They'll get it right a few times then at times every package has problems.
  4. @Chef23 watched it again. Your correct. Saw Obrien not sure what else. I think Connelly also.
  5. @WoodySkier I have the smurf blue Boa gloves. Think it was the first inside out model. They have been incredible, I noticed they started to wear in the palm after several years. I hope they didn't screw them up in the new models.
  6. I ski behind a 08 Mastercraft with original ZO and it will definitely take off on you if you hit it too hard. I've tried to get him to update it but he's a little guy too and it doesn't bother him.
  7. I've had one for a few years. I put my ski with padded bag in it. Plus everything else. Vest, rope, handle, wetsuit, gloves, etc. Helps me cut down forgetting things. I highly recommend this bag.

I got some silicone hoses from pegasusautoracing.com
  9. Does it say on the gauge what company makes the gauge. If so I would contact them and see what activates the counting. May just be a setup issue. Is the tach showing RPMs correctly?
  10. My 99" Rlx is 3", should be the same as yours. I replaced my blower and hose about 5 years ago. Was doing some maintenance the other day and noticed the tubing was rotted away. I bought some blue duct tubing . There are some silicon and other types but that were recommended on forums but they were much more expensive.
  11. I have the smurf blue bathing suit and it's really held up. Several years old and still like new.
  12. @jfabela sorry been busy and didn't catch this. I'm not familiar with the Ilmor wiring but in general the CAN is 2 wires that are a twisted pair, both blue. Let me know if your still having issues.
  13. Peter Chase is in the Austin area and has been skiing some in the last few years.
  14. Says "Chain of Rocks Recreation Corp." Anyone on here ski there?
  15. I have a 2000 V10 gas excursion that does pretty good with a 150K on it, I'm in the process of pulling exhaust manifolds off and replacing some broken studs. That's about the biggest thing I've had to do to it. The Cummins engines are like the small block GM's of diesel. Parts are easy to get and usually more reasonable than other brands. A lot of the problems with the dodge transmissions are due to people putting tuners on them and trying to run way too much power through them. If you find one that hasn't been abused you'll probably get a normal life from it. The Cummins engines are inline 6 so there's a lot of room in the engine compartment for working on the engines. They are a simple design. I had a 92 Dodge diesel and it was the most reliable vehicle I've ever had. The Ford's and Chevy are V8 and there's not a lot of room to get in there and work. As someone mentioned you pretty much have to pull the cab off the frame on the Fords to work on the engine, but the cabs come off easy enough with a lift and the guys that work on Ford regularly can have a cab off in a couple of hours. I like the Ford trucks a little better overall. I've had a 99 F450 7.3/ 6 spd manual and 2006 F350 with a 6.0. The 6.0 truck is setting behind my house with a hole through the side of the block. It did make it to a little over 200k. The 6.7 diesel has been out since 2011 and Ford took care of the problems the 6.0 and 6.4 engines had. The ford transmission is really beefy. I have a friend that has a F550 with the 6.7 he has a gooseneck trailer / backhoe tractor. He says it pulls better that the 5500 dodge he had before but for what your pulling you'd never know the difference.
  16. I pole vaulted in junior high and some in high school. I had a few times that I landed wrong and was very sore. I don't think I would have the courage to try it now. I was pretty good early on but just wasn't a fast enough runner to compete later.
  17. There has to be balance of sustaining the sport, boat manufactures, and the tournaments. They're all intertwined and must each be considered for the continuation of the sport. I don't know what the answer is. Boats aren't like cars where they just wear out and need replacing so there are a lot of good older boats out there but seems like to me the promo boats have probably been the major of tournament boat sales. I talk to local dealers and I've have some tell me they can remember the last time they sold a direct drive. I don't think dealers are all the sudden going to sell more DD boats because some promo guys were cut. It more likely will help the used market in my opinion. It might be that the manufactures want more mold time for the higher profit boats. Either way looks like we are going to have to be more creative as for boat supply for tournaments. Older boats might be an answer for some. Malibu Response LX was still being offer up until last year by Malibu. So if you had a 98 repowered for ZO its the same things as a 2016 RLX in theory. I doubt to many people will complain about skiing behind a 99 196 with ZO.
  18. When I'm skiing my best I definitely hear a different sound in the preturn.
  19. There is a thread on here about George Obser Atlanta lake using 55 gallon drums held end to end with cables and partially filled with foam. I was thinking of trying this at our lake. I looked but couldn't find the thread.
  20. I was a promo member with MC in the 80s and 90s. It was a lot of work. First few years I was making money off the sales, I set myself up as a dealer. As the boats got more expensive it became harder to sell the boats. I didn't have much success working with the local dealership. He didn't care for the promo program and just saw it as taking away from his sales numbers. Anyone know what percentage of tournament boat sales are through promo programs vs new from dealership? I bet a lot of dealerships could careless about tournament skiing. I would think the boat manufactures are still making money on Promo boat sales? So theoretically the dealers are loosing out. But really how many people can afford to go to a dealer and buy a new boat. I could never afford it myself. The only way I could afford it would be to buy a boat that is a couple years old. I guess there is no simple answer. The boat manufacture wants to sale boats and stay in business but at the same time they have to keep dealerships happy and promote tournament skiing enough that it continues as a viable platform to support boat manufacturing. I'm surprised a boat manufacture hasn't tried direct marketing to bring cost down. At what point do the manufactures completely bail and we only have older boats to ski with anyway?
  21. There was a girl a few years ago in Central Texas area that drown that was believed to have past out and drown on a platform due to carbon monoxide. Don't remember the details.
  22. There's definitely a lot going on. Any ME students out there need a fluid dynamics project? This would be interesting. Mount on ski on some mechanism you can rotate to simulate a slalom turn. There's probably simulation software out that you could use to predict it.
  23. for just skiing Bakersfield seems hard to beat. What's wrong with the air quality in Bakersfield? There are some pretty nice places in Texas that are close to major cities. Probably any of the southern states would have a lower cost of living.
