  1. Mine fluctuated quite a bit. At 34.2 mine could be from 36 to 32. It was sensitive to up/down coarse wind as well.
  2. I'm just saying if the handle was order over the phone and he didn't give you a price then I would assume the price was what was on the internet. Personally I'd probably pay the extra 50 and consider myself lucky to get a handle from them at all.
  3. I got a hand full of sets on a 2018 Vapor Pro built. This ski is sweet! I'm surprised that the buzz on this ski was not as big as the 2016. @Chris Rossi good job on this one, Thanks radar.
  4. I bet he doesn't even have the capabilities to modify the website, who ever built the site for him is probably long gone. How did you order the second one?
  5. Yours doesn't look that bad. There are some other threads here about the holes getting ground out by the threads on the bolts. The bolt threads act like a file. I found some bolts with a smooth shank and cut them down. My ski partners were ground out pretty bad and he was getting some unexpected releases so I drill the holes over and put some 10-32 bolts in place and it been like that for a couple of years. The stock bolts are metric. I can't remember the exact size.
  6. How much smaller is the wakes on the MC at the speeds you ski? If the wake was small enough it might help you ski more sets. The few times I've skied on the MCs at tournaments the wakes seemed really nice at 34mph. I pulled way past the wake my first 28off pass, just wasn't much there. 15 and 22 had a little bump but it was soft enough. I think the MC would be a little easier on my old knees.
  7. I picked up a used 18 Vapor Probuild. I previous Vapors, 2015 and 2016. Only had 3 sets on the 18 so far and really like it. I ball parked the fin to the factory long and shallow. It has excellent speed out of turn which makes it a very low effort ski. I ran 8 passes in a set and could have kept going. On side is awesome, it might need some fin adjustments to optimize the offside but its not bad.
  8. Thumbs up for 4 way stretch board shorts. Made a big difference for me. Knees bent, arms straight. Knees pretty much against your chest at start. Have driver ease into pull and not hammer it. Make sure the ski is not too small.

    ZO is Working!

With arrestor on, I had to open up the hole some to fit the throttle body. Fabricated a mount for the computer and fuse box as well. I was trying to do this as cheaply as possible so I found all the factory connectors and made the wire harness that were needed. The existing wiring harness from the engine to the helm was used for the most part, I only had to run the twisted pair of wires from the ZO head back to the engine harness.

    ZO is Working!

@mwetskier I fabbed that up myself. My aluminum welding is a little weak the first few welds took a lot of cleaning up but the last looked perfect.

    ZO is Working!

The ZO head I found on Ski-it-again. My friend bought the engine for a Chris Craft project and decided not to use it. Got a single GPS antenna from ZO.

    ZO is Working!

Fabricated plate that mounts under throttle body. It holds the throttle sensor and original arrestor.

    ZO is Working!

I got a used 5.7 2012 Indmar out of V-drive Sanger. It was complete with Econtrol computer wiring harness Cat exhaust manifolds. Used original transmission and starter. I didn't get the original throttle sensor/shifter so I ended up using a throttle sensor and mount from a Nautique and connecting it to the original throttle cable.

    ZO is Working!

It took some time. But I now have ZO on my 1999 Malibu Response LX.
  15. That would concern me if It were mine. I'd contact the prop manufacturer and dealer/nautique.
  16. I'm using the first generation of inside out Boa's and they've been great for longevity saving my hands. I use them with liners. I wish glove makers would make long size for us tall skinny people abnormally long fingers. I have some D3 that I used for tournaments without lines to reduce missed handle grabs.
  17. I need a tach for mine. Don't need bad enough to spend $500 on it though.
  18. I went from double rubber binders to the same set up as you. I remember having some problems with ski catching in the turns also. I just got used to it after a while (2 to 3 weeks). It help when I heat molded the liner which I didn't do at first.
  19. I usually pull out when the boats about a boat length from the green guides and adjust that back or forward for head or tail wind. I use a progressive pullout so I'm not hitting hard immediately and use a fast count of 4 that's probably in the ballpark of 3 seconds. Counting helps my consistency on gates. Like others have said stay balance on the pullout. You're rolling back on your rear leg so that when you come up to glide your on the rear. There are some top skiers that do a similar pull out but seems harder to master.
  20. I've got an In-tow. I've had the Masterline before. I really like Masterline products but I thing Brenda's Progressor rope is better.
  21. I try to get wider at the gates and turn in less abruptly. Seems like you are narrow and rushed in the turns.
  22. Bummer, get well. I want to give that a thumbs down.
  23. I just used a generic package of letters. Think it came from academy.
  24. The single puck hooks up differently. Those could be extra connectors for 2 pucks. Have you pull a battery cable loose to reset the computers?
  25. Starter motor wouldn't be Malibu either.
