  1. @Bruce_Butterfield It's in the rule book under world championships. Top 12 scores to the final and it doesn't matter what series you ski in. https://iwwf.sport/iwwf-waterski-council-2021-world-rules/ 14.09: Numbers in Finals Basic Rule The first twelve placed skiers based on the results of the preliminary round, shall be qualified to ski in the final round of that event. There shall be no differentiation between individual skiers and team skiers. In the case of a tie for any position which may result in more than twelve skiers going through to the final round there will be a run-off between the tied skiers so that only twelve skiers go into the finals. The run-off score(s) shall not be used for the Final Round starting list (where all those tied skiers shall be drawn randomly). Happened in Mexico 2015. Beny Stadlbaur had to ski a run off vs Parrish. Not sure when Beny skied but pretty sure it was not in the same day.
  2. @BS74 doesn't matter what series you ski in. Top 12 score ski in the final. And if there's is a tie after all skiers have skied, then run off.
  3. @BS74 top 12 skiers only in the final. Run off for 12th, doesn't matter the series you start in, just the score.
  4. @bs74 most of the team is on the new ski, if not all. Jmac has been on it since getting back from Herb's cup, and Jamie has a bunch of skis he's been using including promos which have last years graphics - which is probably a bit of what you're seeing. Pretty sure Joel Poland has done a review of his new ski too. https://radarskis.com/products/vapor-pro-build-black perhaps check your browser settings. The new ski is definitely up and description is accurate. I'm on a 21 which has been great for me and look forward to trying the new ski as well.
  5. This goes back probably 30+ years when wings were becoming standard and were at the time often called "cheater fins".
  6. Handle diameter, bent handle, grip. Great stuff but that's not what causing the issue and are bandaids. The fact you can bench a lot of weight is great but I see so many people inured from bench pressing. It's not necessary to bench big weight for skiing and I see big muscle guys struggle more than skinny guys because they want to curl the handle when you need straight relaxed arms that can take a load and transfer it to your core. Listen to @bkreis and @Fastguy888 they're trainers. Go to a physiotherapist to diagnose what's up. Bent bar and a fresh rope can help while you rehab. Don't hold onto slack and don't pull with your arms, lean.
  7. Are there Black Mambas in Florida?
  8. Should have been 5 Brittany's but he's your mate
  9. I have an adjustable comp radar fin block somewhere. New. I'll look if you're interested
  10. Been bugging them to allow for android. Android has over 70% of users worldwide, so they're missing out!
  11. @Bionaraq sounds like you're working hard to build strength which is amazing. I chased my tail similarly and struggled with injuries, pain while skiing due to them and reduced water time until I educated myself on how to lose weight. Since doing so I have none of the above and can ski 10 sets a week without issue (getting time to ski now my most challenging issue!). Diet is said to be 80% of weight loss - and although it's a lifestyle change in a lot of ways because of how damaging and prevalent the standard North American Diet is, its not as hard as the running and working out you're doing. A low carb diet or keto style combined with measuring the calories you're taking in, will shed pounds like you can't believe and FAST. Meat and vegetables/protein and fat vs processed foods and carbs combined with the exercise you're doing - you'll see immense changes quickly. There are many free programs, but look at NOOM for a paid program and check out Fat Fiction documentary on YouTube: If you stick with it - you'll drop massive weight in the first few months and can taper down from there and easily drop 1-2lbs a week without any restrictive eating - more if you can be really diligent. Hope I'm not offending but it sounds like you want to make changes and I was in a similar boat as you 2 or 3 years ago. Other than perhaps quitting smoking many years ago, this was the most monumental thing I've ever done, oh and I still eat cheeseburgers and drink beer now, just not that often and not when I was dropping weight ;) good luck!
  12. That vid to me proves this pass can definitely be run or rather, not impossible. His 43 looks like most everyone else's 3@ 41...
  13. @skibrain ya I tried. Inconclusive with the rag top were my findings. The last gen I was reading the seats don't fold down. The 21 owners manual indicates (as equipped).
  14. @skihacker ya been there before. I now stick to well reputed rental agencies who have the cars in terminal and whom I'm a loyalty member with so you just show up and go to the car in the lot. nobody have a new mustang rag top that skis?
  15. @JDskiNECA I hear ya but not really going to be leaving the ski in the car. @skialex haha. tell that to the lady who has to travel with me!
  16. Booking a ski trip and I've been offered a new Mustang convertible for the week. How can I pass that up?? My question is always when traveling A. How and Where can I Ski - confirmed. But in this case B. Will I be able to fit my ski in the back of this rag top? Will the seats fold down? And C. Will there be enough room for my empty sport tube and a suitcase?
  17. @ms there are speed limits, bans on smoking and limitations on selling alcohol. You're comparing entirely unreasonable restrictions (5mph???) with a 30 min quiz. You've owned yourself with that last comment. The world is changing, whether we like it or not. Our sport is a backwater activity that can use some modernization and professionalism to sustain itself, let alone grow. There's a few people here that don't want to see you go, but your protest will undoubtedly fall on deaf ears. There are more productive ways to make change. Your choice.
  18. Looks sweet! I've been on RS1/Strada/Vapor boots here since they launched over 10 years ago. My question to @ColeGiacopuzzi or @brooks is can you use the rear vapor boot snugged up to the heal of the front like you can on a radar plate if using a release? I run my vapors as close together as possible on a sequence plate. cheers!
  19. You will be able to use with a reflex release OR on a standard radar plate is my understanding. As an original RS1 user and now vapor, they look great. The only issues I have is the bungee loses its holding power over time. Should be easy to replace with a lace or buckle if you are using a release system.
  20. USPS shows about $55 usd to Montreal. Mark it as a gift. No broker fees for USPS that I've experienced.
